This happened to me at McDonald's once. One of the managers kept accusing me of my drawer being short, when in reality, she was stealing the money herself from it and blaming it on me. This is why only one person should be allowed on the drawer at a time. No managers - just the cashier. Anyone who handles the register aside from the cashier is suspect.
Amber Goldsmith That's how we did it when i worked at a convenience store. Everyone looked over their register, counted their money then put it all in a non resealable bag and put it in a large one way drop safe, then the safe got emptied and it was all counted over by the boss and 2 more to make sure nothing happened.
Amber Goldsmith yea, I worked at a Burger King, and the laws they have to protect employees is that nobody is to handle a drawer without the worker supervising it...so when a manager counts, the employee stands there and watches everything they do, with the office camera pointed at them...
Amber Goldsmith When I worked at store we were allowed to work at a register if a customer needed to check-out faster, but it would log out and we'd have to log in so our name would show up on any report misfiled.
This is the reason why whenever my managers count my draw down, Im standing behind them and im looking at the receipt that tells them how much I made in my 6-8 hour shifts. If they tell me that Im short, I ask to count it down myself. There is one manager who refuses to allow me to count my drawer down. Guess what? after her ALWAYS coming to me telling me that im short and the fact that the amount that I was missing became substantially larger after each time I worked with her, I brought it up to the GM. THe GM actually caught this woman removing money from my register and running off with it. Lets just say she no longer works at the store with me. The lessons to be learned here is to always watch your mangers because sometimes they're some shady ass people and to NEVER be afraid to go to the manager above them if you're having troubles with a specific manager
+Myokuju Just wanted to let you know that you are 100%. Swoozie went thru it, I went thru it and my wife went thru it. Shady managers are a real thing... (and for those parents out there that read this pay heed) I'll say my wifes story first because it is much like yours and therefore won't be a wall of text :) Sierra is her name, she is a supervisor at burger king on an army base. Her boss is named JD... now, JD is a manager... (and a good guy thank god) any other information you need before the story starts... sure, the culprit! Guys name is Jacob. OK! Story time~! Jacob is a supervisor like Sierra... There are 3 shifts for the bk in one day. Morning, lunch, closing. Sierra is normally lunch or closing (or both). Jacob is the same, lunch or closing. (never both ever) So, JUST like Myokuju, Jacob would do Sierra a favor and count her drawer. After his count... Jacob would tell JD and JD's boss that Sierra's drawer is under... AGAIN. JD and Sierra have known each other for a long time, and so JD texts Sierra with all sorts of drama. Turns out Jacob got fired for stealing from the drawer during his counts. It took an official investigation, and the only person that could call the people in to do the investigation? You got it! The manager! JD. So, if you are not a manager can you call an investigation on a military base? Sure, contact the HQ or your manager. ^--- see something relevant there? My story I'll make even shorter. My manager changed my schedule and fired me because I had 2 no-call-no-shows in a row. (They didn't call me either) Just straight told me I had the weekend off Friday, then when I left Friday afternoon... changed the schedule so I DID have work days on the weekend. When I came in Monday... I was fired. I contacted the union and they couldn't do anything since I did have 3 write ups in my book. (2 for... NO CALL NO SHOW!) Why did this happen? Richard was the Assistant General Manager of the store, and he is like 80 years old former hardcore Marine. I'm cool with that, I'm former Navy and I like comrade' in arms. However, he started calling the Navy a bunch of pansy's and other vulgar stuff in front of other employees. Purposely loud enough to include me in the conversation... so I said some things that made everyone laugh. Richard turned red and walked off. After small talk with him later that evening revealed he didn't want anything to do with me. 3 months later, the schedule thing happened. So I'm telling all parents and peeps (and peepettes) out there. When a person tells you, "I got fired cuz they don't like me" or "I don't know why I got fired!" or "So and So fired me because of so and so"..... Don't nod your head and think, "He's just a lazy mofo" or "Quit lyin Tyrone!" :P
I've been on a Swoozie marathon all day long with my cookies and milk like a real G skipping school. (lol no, i'm not feeling well). You're so funny every video has me sounding like a seal and holding my stomach.
Because Rob hate Warren..... Rob hates swoozie... There we have a prob...... Now three million people hates Rob.... Forgive your enemies.... dont hold grudge. #RobIsGonnaDie
Retail sucks people those of you who never worked in a store a day in your lives: my advice to you is: KEEP IT THAT WAY! I worked at a dollar store for two months. Get this load of shit: I kept coming up short on the register, each time I had the exact same manager. So the policy for employees is basically: $3 + or $3- = 1 write up 3 write ups = termination of Employment. Needless to say I kept coming up short when one specific manager was on for that day. A month after I got terminated so did the manager. I asked the branch manager why and she said, "We pulled up surveillance footage, and we found out she's been stealing money from registers while the cashier was away either doing 'go backs' or on break and writing up the cashiers for it." You can guess what the first question out of my mouth was and the branch manager said, "unfortunately, yes. You were one of the cashiers she stole money out the drawer from." The branch manager was nice she offered me my job back, but I declined mainly because I already got a job with better pay.
There's something else I forgot to tell you. For both movie mistakes in the old and new spiderman. They both need to spider sense while they're in their masks.
William Signs Try working for K-mart. I have a friend who worked there for one week before he quit. (He was cart pusher too that's why I brought him up in case you're wondering.)
William Signs Actually from what I understand it's actually vice versa. Kmart actually bought Sears. Some how Kmart was near bankrupcy but was later bailed out. Then Sears was nearly bankrupt so Kmart bought them out.
One thing also I learned as a Manager at a theme park dealing with money. Some places, especially theme parks, use money counters instead of hand counting. I use to have a $1500 manager bag to provide change and etc. Well every now and then they would accuse the bag of being $5-$10 short when I would always hand count my money before entering the cash area. Well my employees would have the same problem and it resulted in write ups for them. One day I finally asked for my money back so I could hand count my money, it was correct when they said it was $15 off. I gave it back and demanded they hand count it as well so they knew I wasn't lying. Wouldn't you know it was right as well. Turns out those cash counting machines aren't always correct, occasionally bills stick together so here is one thing I recommend. If you use a cash counter or your manager does and it comes up short at anytime, always demand a hand count of your money. It kept some of my employees from being suspended and fired and kept my 100% accuracy record up for 2 more years before I left because the company was sold and turned into a waterpark.
I sometimes wonder how Swoozie can be a hardcore gamer, ladies' man, intense partygoer, RU-vid superstar, and clothing store employee. It's really cool, but I just can't imagine how time and finance would work? Like how does he get all the money to do all the awesome things he appears to do (travel for one). And where does he get all the time to hang out with chicks, master gaming, hold a job, and make tons of RU-vid videos. Maybe I'm just horrible at time management but any two of those things would keep me fully occupied.
shavaughn albury but he doesn't do it, so your "if ya can't do it then either get better or shut up" makes no sense. it would be pretty much impossible for someone to do all those things while keeping a balanced home life and healthy lifestyle (ie get's enough sleep etc). besides, the reason why others want to know, is because it's a very arduous feat to balance all those things in an everyday schedule.
I got "fired" the same way from Carls Jr. after asking for a few days off, getting those days off, and when they called me in if I could come into work, I'm in a different state and I tell them that. When I get back I call to see when I'm working next and turns out I'm nowhere on the schedule.
I have a situation like this as well but i worked at Game Stop. A new manager had taken over and a lot of things started happening to the point where i felt like i was a target. Before he arrived i was promoted to a shift manager in only a few months, and within a year i was promoted to an interim assistant manager. When he came along it was like i couldn't do anything right, and even got to a point where he asked me if i wanted "to step outside". About 3 months after that moment happened i went into work to open the store one morning and this new store manager was there with his buddy who he had hired as the new assistant manager and told me that i had left money in the cash register over night, and refused to show me surveillance footage. I had never made this mistake in 3 YEARS. I later tried to get into contact with upper management, and as i expected they closed ranks around this manager. It took me 5 months to find another job, and i was really bitter about the whole situation. Sucks that some people are petty like this.
Same shit happened to me when i worked at Winn Dixie. the boss got fired about 4 months after i quit for raping a 16 year old boy in his office. he accused me of stealing and a bunch of other bs
Even though he got fired. He still got the discount he would have gotten even if he was still working there. BUT Denise hooked him up with a better discount than it would have been.
It's so messed up because I watched this before work and got fired when I went in over the smallest thing...I'm still in awe. Keeping a positive attitude tho.
I was fired after speaking up about sexual harassment in the workplace because, "There was no evidence on the camera and we don't need that kind of talk around here." All my old management ended up getting fired for tax evasion. 💥
legit this guy's revitalizing my faith in God its not like i didnt have any but i feel like a car that just went to a gas station and was refilled with faith instead of fuel lol
I worked at a store called Against All Odds that was pretty similar to DEMO, really expensive brand-named hip-hop clothes, security, etc., and we as cashiers counted the register when we started our shift and when before we ended and if you wanted to you could count before your lunch break just to be careful. If you were short you had until that Friday to pay it back or get written up. I worked there 51/2 years without being written up
Found you totally by accident when I was looking up Disney stuff. So glad I ran across your vlogs… You keep me cracking up!!! I have to look at your stuff when I'm home alone, because people think I am nuts when they see me all by myself grinning and laughing till I cry. Thanks for the comic relief😹😹😹
The fact that they were so casual of you being $25 short on a register and not bothering to check the cameras is obvious signs that they were lying. My Mom is a manager at a restaurant and if their drawers are like $10 they bust out the cameras and go FBI.
I was $100 short on a register before, lol and i didn't get fired. It turns out that if the customers love you, you can screw up and everything will be fine. oh yeah I didn't steal it if that's what you were thinking. XD
***** Unless the manager or assistant manager is a complete asshole. Same thing in this story happened to me at a KFC once, 'cept without the happy ending... >_>
i bet terrell was stealing money and blamed you. He probably did it to someone else after you were fired since he was able to get free money by blaming someone else, and most likely if he did he got caught eventually and fired.
My boyfriend had a couple of managers at McDonald's. One. was caught stealing from another drawer, the other it turns out was actually to damn stupid to count money properly, counting 3-4 big handful and just throwing out numbers. And these nitwits want 15/hr. My boyfriend got paid less doing tier 2 tech support.
Ive worked in a high-end coffee shop before (not Starbucks) where I kid you not 90% of the original employees hired along with me were fired or "left" after a year bc of shady stealing practices, neglecting work, being a negligent boss....just lettin y'all know all the jobs on this level have shady people so just stay out of trouble!
The same thing happened to me!! One day I just wasn't scheduled in, went into self rage mode, the boss said he "forgot" to schedule me, in reality, that was my last day. I wasn't even told I was fired. I was just never scheduled again. Working in retail is crazy...
See I love people like denise, she knew something was going on and you were taking the fall so she's like, he's been scammed the least I can do is give him a bit of an extra discount.
