Do you want to know something fun? Capsaicin doesn't dissolve in water that well, so it doesn't dissolve in your spit. That makes it less spicy. In alcohol however it dissolves way better. Like, really well.

You'll be glad to know that as far as products with capsaicin go, 16,000,000 is the limit. However resiniferatoxin(lethal, dont eat this) hits to the sound of 16,000,000,000. The misleading part is the SHU scale doesnt measure spicyness how one would think. Its a measure of how little of the product is required to trigger a reaction. So depending on your sensitivity to capsaicin products anything above a certain point will feel the same.

For anyone curious, 16mil SHU is literally the highest capsaicin can go. You can't go any hotter with that particular molecule. Which actually makes me wonder how accurate the measure is. The chip didn't look like it was showered with pure capsaicin's crystals. Oh and for context, cops use pepper spray with anywhere from 500k to 2mil SHU
