An 'Embrace It' series couldn't come at better timing for me! Taking time to care for my body with a little help from your videos has already opened my eyes to so many ways I was neglecting myself, and so many ways I need to "embrace" and "adapt" into a healthier way of thinking and living. Hi Adriene, I love your series! Did you have vocal nodules? I'm a music and theatre teacher on my second round of nodules. I had surgery when I was 18, and am staring it down again at 27. Thank you for your positivity. I know how much not having a voice SUCKS. I feel that depression. Thanks for being open about it!

Hey Adrienne, sorry to hear about your voice. I have experienced throat problems in the past, so bad that there were nodules growing on my vocal chords! I'm better now, although it is much easier for me to lose my voice than before. I have always been told that colloidal silver helps. Good luck and I look forward to the new series :)

Feel Better! I am sending you tons of healing vibes! I love your videos, and your approach to yoga, and I am so glad that you are continuing! On a side note: Did Shakey Graves make the intro/out-tro? song for you specifically? If not, what song do you use? I have gotten really into his music, but I have yet to find a song that sounds like your intro! Namaste!

Hi! Thank you! Shakey is family and he let me use a song that is not released yet. It is called House Of Winston and it is awesome. Once it is released I hope to offer it to folks via the news letter! XO We also have a different Shakey tune in the Sun Salutation video - about half way in. Check it out and Namaste!

hi Adriene,I know this vlog and your surgery is way in the past and I'm happy so :) As you have said in your video, you are commenting if anyone of us is going through similar things - well I think I am. I am experiencing voice loss also quite frequently lately along with GERD. This prevents me from getting into various yoga poses which triggers the acid reflux cause apparently my stomach valve is not functioning anymore and all loosened up. And I am wondering if your surgery helped... Tell me please Adriene, do I have the chance to keep on practicing yoga with you doing all the moves once I go through this surgery :):) Many thanks - Namaste :)

Adriene, Have you made anymore videos or shared about your experience with GERD? My mother has been dealing with this for awhile now and based on her experience I'm terrified of the high possibility that I will. The same thing happened to me :( And I had no idea I even had GERD because it was asymptomatic up until that point (I barely got any heart burn). It sucked because I love singing and I'm always singing and it was basically impossible not to sing... But after about half a year my voice came back :D

GERD totally sucks. And sounds so gross. Its embarrassing to speak its name to utter the words! But I choose UP over down. Always. Yoga teaches us to have awareness always and to find the grace. I send my best to you!
