@@datboy038 it’s pretty bad the voice acting isn’t very good, the plot is overused the gameplay is overused and even the art style had been milked dry in the horror genre
This is not one of those. The game looks like silent hill if it was missing every ounce what makes those games good. The writing has to be the most abysmal shite I ever seen as well.
There's something really surreal about seeing someone who's content I've watched for years now play a game I'm in and even imitate my performance. I got a LOT of laughs from it XD Fun little fact: I actually did two takes for Mr. Shiny at the request of the devs. One a bit quiet and trying to match the feel of the character and one going completely over the top. The latter made it into the game. Anywho, I'm glad to see you enjoyed the motel bit at the very least! Keep up the wonderful work, man! :D
Be like Mr Shiney’s VA, the man got a job as as a minor antagonist in some small scale horror game, and the man put his entire soul into the performance
a game from this genre that's actually really really good is Paratopic. it's rated 9/10 in Steam, it was like 5$ or something last I checked but really underrated.
The abnormal scream that the serial killer does while chasing the player is ear killing. The last twist was crazy though..and apparently he survived even after the policeman shot him so many times since his body disappeared (continuation of the game )
This game looks like it was made by the same team that made that Laundry Bloodbath or whatever that shitty game was called. Both have absolutely abysmal stories that have twists just for the sake of having twists and the gameplay and horror aspect is subpar at best. Like they'll literally build up all the evidence and clues to point at one conclusion only to have a surprise twist that doesn't make any sense because there's no clues to it therefore there's no way we could've known about it before. Twist endings only work if there's clues building up to it. I watched The Machinist with Christian Bale recently and that movie had a twist ending but it made sense because there's small clues leading up to the reveal. The Sixth Sense too, one of the biggest plot twists ever but it makes sense with all the small clues the movie gives you. They might not be major and you don't really think about it in the moment but when the reveal comes it makes sense. These devs fail to give any clues to make their twist make sense and it frustrates me because so many lets players are actually calling these good horror games
@@ivanvenne one of the biggest offenders was nun massacre, the game isn't scary so it assaults your ears with loud noises and fucks with the screen so you can't see anything, it's awful
@YeaMan it’ll save my life? and I’ve seen that exact same “The music on my page” at least a thousand times, didn’t know it was just a bunch of self promoters saying the same thing.
Can’t wait for Twitch to finally release their own horror game, “Financial Suicide”. We’ve seen early gameplay in the past but now it seems really close to coming out.
I could do anything to have been there watching whoever voiced Mr. Shiny record 5:12. You just know he was making hand gestures and expressions saying it like a lunatic
This is actually a pretty cool concept, having the serial killer be your brother you were separated from when you were little. Credit where credit is due
@@user-fg4tn8ot6b Oh yeah I forgot about that, I wonder if this game dev was inspired from ideas from famous horror movies since the beginning of this game is a lot like Psycho
@@chisecrecy4974 It's Puppet Combo. They're always making games inspired by slasher films. Babysitter Bloodbath, Bloodwash, Deadly Night, Nun Massacre, Powerdrill Massacre... They're all inspired by slasher films. :D
@@user-fg4tn8ot6b except Laurie wasn’t responsible for Michael Myers, in this game you burn the house your brother is in and destroy his face he’s then adopted by a canabilistic family, so you’re kinda responsible for him
@@pullupenthusiast3800 I think they were both adopted into the family. If not, then who's the girl beside Dylan? If so, how did she escape and how did she not remember the place?
@YeaMan there are so many options on what you can do with your day and you choose to post shit self promoting comments all day instead of idk working on making actual watchable content.
I tried to piece it together it seems like this carol girl was being used for seggs to men by her own mother in her childhood and his brother or whatever dylan was seemed like an odd kid and cut to present carol and her friend susan are going somewhere to stay after carol boyfriend dumped her and they come to mr shiny hotel who does the secret prono recording thing and somehow gets killed, and in the end the main villain was dylan all along? thats all i can comprehend from this edited video lol at times it actually felt like he was playing different games lmao
That "I DON'T THINK SO" had about the same energy as "I'LL STEAL IT! NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW!" Voice actor knew what this was and gave the performance their all despite that.
This clip doesn't really capture the absolute STRUGGLE that Charlie had to go through to escape the murderer's house. There's a knife hidden in the fridge which you need to pick up, then place it next to the fireplace to thaw the block of ice around it. Then, you need to use the knife to cut a piece of cork from some bedding upstairs to use it as a stopper in the bathtub. Then you need to use the rust-remover to clean a valve in the basement, opening up the flow of water to the bathroom upstairs. Then pick up a bucket, take it to the bathtub, fill it with water and use the water (quickly! The bucket is full of holes) to put out the fire in the fireplace, thus reaching a wrench that was otherwise too hot to touch. With the wrench, loosen up some pipes in the bathroom, find a coin within said pipes, use the coin as a screwdriver to get the batteries from the radio, then use those batteries + a game cartridge to play in a game-boy. One of the high-scores in the game is the combination to a padlock leading deeper into the building. Except then you just jump down, break your leg in the fall, and have to be rescued by the other lady character anyway. Charlie is an absolute trooper to have gone through the entire thing.
The FL Studio stock plugin music with not even the presets changed from default, the voice acting, the goofy ass story and sound effects, the ragdolls... this is truly a piece of art.
Dude, I love this game - especially watching Coryxkenshin play it. The retro styling also makes it scarier. Don’t know why, but I always love these horror games with the PlayStation 1 graphics
Mr Shiny's VA must've been having the time of his life doing this... also as a former drama club kid I lost it over how accurate of a statement 2:10 was.
