I’m a senior woman with art work sitting on the floor because it’s difficult for me to hang them myself. These will save me from having to hire a handyman that cost $60 an hour. I do love your style and approach to making your home have style and comfortable living.
To save your wallpaper Cut a small V on your wallpaper, then flip it up and place your hangers. When you want to remove your item from that spot you just flip the paper back down and you’ll never know there was a hole there.
We live in Cameron, NC and we absolutely love the antique fair! I remember bringing my now 16-year-old when he was just a toddler. We have found so many wonderful gems over the years. Thanks so much for coming out and supporting our very quaint, but charming little town.
Oh my gosh, I wish this video existed roughly six weeks ago! I have been a heavy mirror hanging machine! I am obsessive when it comes to VERY large, ornate, heavy, Gold, Vintage and Antique French mirrors. They can be SO intimidating to hang, particularly as I am on my own as young, Single woman Homeowner. I managed to find the correct drywall screws and accompanying tools. I got them hung precisely as I yearned for them to be. There was one Antique French mirror, absolutely ENORMOUS, that I could not for the life of me hang straight. Four attempts to not be crooked. I will never make that error ever again! Thanks Shelby!
Thank you for showing that hanging procedure because I’m really bad at hanging things. Your style, your ideas, and your thinking out loud is VERY helpful to me. Your style brings me comfort right down to my bones. Love your style.
Great mirror tip! I would've never thought to place a bench and table there in the corner by the window but it looks great and has given me a new perspective on corner areas. I can't wait to see the antique haul.
I had no idea that this product existed! I've had a really cute round (but heavy) mirror hidden behind a chair for literally the two years since we've moved, postponing the decision of whether I should hire a professional to hang it or not. Now I'm going for it.
Shelby, What a Beautiful and functional space that U have created. The light was captured as to maximize its benefits. So so pretty.Love that area and thanks for the hanging tips.
I love decorating corners (the unforgotten spaces)! Love what you’ve done with yours! Beautiful marble table, mirror and antique cabinet! Love the bench and the sconce! Enjoy your channel! 💜
Thank You for another great video! Love the corner section. My mom absolutely loves the candle sconce idea and feels that it compliments your mirror nicely! I can tell that she's secretly hoping you'll choose to put one there!! LoL. Looking forward to seeing your NC antique fair video/haul! 💗
I actually love this bench there! Maybe you could keep it so everything looks spacious? Anyhow, great update! You can do so much with a corner and a window!
1. Love when you have new RU-vid videos 2. Loveeeeeee your home so much ! 3. Love claw hooks it’s literally always use now they make it sooooo easy and the holes are so much easier to cover if you ever change your mind and no anchors 🙌🏻
Thank you for sharing these! I never hang anything heavy because I rent and always end up with damage but these will do the trick. Btw LOVE your style because it's so thoughtful and personal! 💗
WOW! I didnt know such a thing existed!👍 I am so intimated with hanging heavy objects. You make it look easy. Love your ideas on the Cozy Corner! 😊💚💚💚💚
Hi Sweetie! What a great video. I have a huge heavy mirror in my closet it weighs 150 pds.but these claws will work w/ other things. Thank you for showing us this product🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Love this tip, as I am always hesitant to hang heavy things, and tend to just lean them against a wall or on a piece of furniture. . Love the idea of a sconce on top and art on the bottom. The sconce alone looks too small next to the size of the mirror. With the size of the art , it seems more visually balanced. BTW... love the wallpaper so much. I have a similar rush seat bench, but its black and has sides that come up and arch out.
Keep it simple with the candle sconce! It compliments the metal decorative design on the mirror. Love the light coming in from the window, it creates the most cozy corner!
I can never click quick enough when you post a new video! I give you credit for hanging that mirror level. I am always pounding a bunch of nail holes hanging heavy things by myself. This seems like a great product idea. I want to respectfully say that I think it needs to be hung lower and cover the outlet if not needed [another viewer thought the same]. The picture looks great to the right of it with a light sconce hung above it. Your room is beautiful and totally my decor style.
Thank you!! Yes! The CLAW really helped with it being level! I thought about hanging it a little lower but I also like the aesthetic of it right there. I may eventually wallpaper that outlet anyway.
As always I loved this video ! Your style and eye for decor and placement are so perfect and your home is just the right place for you to show off all that talent !! That mirror is beautiful and that little corner is just charming and cozy !! Love your dress too ? Did you purchase it locally ?
Great idea! Nice alternative to nails. I have been a little nail happy hanging pictures and other decorative items. I like that you try new things and are not afraid to change things if it doesn't suit you. Your videos are wonderful. I learn a lot from your experiences. I like your wallpaper, bed ensemble and canopy, very dreamy. Have you thought of painting the fireplace brick a white/off white variation? I think it would be lovely. Where did you get your ghosts that you had in a different video? I can't seem to find something close to what they are like. Love your dog Pearl, so sweet.
Thank you!! I did think of painting the bricks a different color but when we took off the gold surround I actually liked how they looked! And those ghosts were from a local pottery shop called Mollie Jenkins Pottery!
I love that mirror, it's gorgeous. Your newest piece of furniture is also very nice. Personally, I wouldn't hang anything sticking out of the wall because you might hit your head or your son might hit his head on it. I like the picture and a sconce that doesn't come out to far from the wall.
Everything is looking so beautiful! Love watching the transformation. I live with in nc and was wondering what the name of the antique fair is…would love to go.
Your corner is turning out to be nice. I am glad you are enjoying it. Please share the name of this Antique show in NC that is held annually. Thanks for sharing
An adjustable arm wall sconce with smaller round table that doesn’t block the full length mirror. Interested to see corner bench not sure I’ve ever seen one sounds beautiful
Wonder if those "hangers"are available in Spain or maybe thru Amazon. It will really do the trick to hang a heavy mirror. Love your videos. Miss many more and more often if you may. Saludos from sunny Spain.
Best with two people so that one can use a leveling tool to make sure both hooks at same height. That mirror was heavy so not sure how it can be leveled
I've looked at antique fairs in NC, there are multiple places. If it's ok to ask, which one have you gone to and found good pieces. We have a house in NC that's not fully furnished yet. 😄
What about a skinny long lamp in the corner. I'm thinking the kind with the antique shades that have tassels. White probably or an antique off white. Just a suggestion.
@PrettyinthePines that's what I'm thinking 🤔 I like the sconce idea with the candle, but only if the sconces are bigger. I think the lamp would add more to the space, but without taking up too much space
I think an old-fashioned vanity would look lovely, all skirted, in that corner. But maybe that is not your style. It would go with the rest of the room, though.
Problem with those markers is you are holding the item you want to hang and you can't see if it is level especially a heavy item like a mirror cuz you aren't standing back looking at it and you can't use a level because you are holding the heavy item.
@PrettyinthePines ..Ahh, ..I see. . Well, that answers my query... thank you. I was thinking....." it should be in the Video , how she made sure it was Level..." lol..
it would annoy me so much to have such a giant mirror hanging, and then so many things in front of it, so you can't even stand in front of it and get close.... but that's me
