In today's one minute talk, I start talking about modern horizons 3 leaks with a card I think is not just good in Horde of Notions, but is another example of all that complaining I did for the Desert Bloom commander deck stuff - it's The Necrobloom!
seriously this would be GREAT in horde but who thought A, bringing back dredge wouldn't cause problems and B, thought letting you get back any land through it was a good call like JFC

no joke, prob gonna my primary edh deck going forward. this brew has been so difficult yet so satisfying. currently employing a Bone Miser + Cycling Land combo to mill the library, then reanimate Kodama and a drain effect to drain the table with a Kodama combo it's SO much fun.

Alright, for as much shit as I was talking on it, that kinda slaps I guess the play if that combo gets interrupted is to craterhoof with the tokens it makes?

@drboolin mind sharing the list? I've been brewing this build for the past week too and I'd love to see what you've come up with. I friggin love this commander in playtesting so far it's been a blast. Bone miser is great with Barren Moor (netting you 1 black mana with each cycle) to then dread return (sacrificing zombies/plants from necrobloom) into an eternal witness into torment of hailfire, dumping all the excess mana for the win. (basalt monolith + mesmeric orb lets you mill your entire deck as well.)

I was practicing the script to see how it'd flow, got to the tokens part, put tow and two together, and just started screaming lmao More power to ya for liking it, I just want some different landfall flavor

@@JMarGameDesign what would be your perfect landfall commander? Is it just an ability you are looking for, or a specific creature, stats and everything else?

@The_Dying_Rose My b, realized I slightly misspoke I really just want a land-based commander that does something different Like soul of windgrace is a good example to me bc it creates a different play pattern that makes lands more important than to always be on board and stack landfall triggers, or like Jorael is another good example because you actively need to use your lands as attackers to make card advantage Tameshi is a really cool lands commander that a friend runs (mostly bc it's not on the same land axis as other land focused decks) Just something that uses lands as more than ways to make boards and insane mana

Can't deny that, I just want something different out of landfall commanders. I don't think we get there by slapping field of the dead onto a creature and enabling dredge shenanigans though
