Amy's version is great, but we are covering the original Blood Sweat and Tears 1967 version (since they wrote it and recorded it first). Donny Hathaway also did a great cover of the song in the 1970's.

OK rendition musically but the vocals fall far short of Al Cooper's original version. Actually a few off key notes here and there.

Go back and listen to the original Blood Sweat and Tears studio recording. Our guitar player was using digital guitar effects and digital amp simulator to emulate the 60's fuzz tone and amp used for the original track. Many of the late 60's guitar sounds sound pretty rough compared to what modern equipment can produce.
