There's a reason RuneScape has been around for 20 years and is still wildly popular while hundreds and hundreds of "the next big MMO" have come and gone. RuneScape is God tier. See y'all again in another 20 years.

I haven't played in about 10-12ish years. Moved on to wow and many other games like maple story and combat arms and then quit those too. Last time I played a video game was literally like 3-4 years ago.

God, Runescape was so much fun. In my town your school was either all about Runescape or Maple Story. I had so much fun with my classmates questing around in this world, I will also never forget the cool older kids with their magical "Memberships".
Man, I remember the days when there was one server and everyone just fought outside of Lumbridge and on cabbage patches. Everyone was clambering for Adamantite gear and only a select handful of people had the smithing for it.
@@DeltaInsanity Back when the game first launched there was only one server. The full world was pvp. Kinda like the pvp worlds except that was just the game.

I still play Runescape every now and then. Bought a santa hat for 60m, sold it for 250m later. Bought it again for 600m, and now it's up to about 4b. Crazy. Just gonna hold it.
I remember when I was a kid I made my dad bring me home early from a family get together because I had a date in Lumbridge. I then got scammed hard by my "date". Those were the days.
I had 3 santa hats and like 50M that I hadn't touched in 5-7 years. I lost them in 1 hour at the duel arena. After I lost the first I tried to win it back with my 2nd, then with my 3rd, then with my 50M. By the end of it they were all gone. Not to mention I was an opioid addict when this happened, perhaps adding to my poor judgement. Everyone I knew irl was literally dying so I think I didn't value even the nostalgia or rl money I could have made selling that stuff. When I start I gotta start fresh now, but I'm lvl 125 or something at least.
My boyfriend plays runescape, and I'll never understand the grind.. But it's the simple pleasures that make life grand. And that.. Is runescape. Plus the sea shanty is an absolute bop.
@@slimxshady6111 I was playing RS3, but RuneScape players are gatekeeping cucks, so they'll harass you for not playing OSRS. Just go with whichever one you prefer, but RS3 does have better combat.
You can absolutely do it solo. They're just in a group because of the Group Ironman Mode they added (Ironman mode usually just means you can't trade with other players in any way. Group means you can trade, but only with other people in your group.)

Is he on it 24/7 is that the only thing he streams? No. You’re right. He admits he would’ve played group iron with his friends regardless of being paid by jagex. And is the one streamer they paid that actually gave a shit. As far as the rest? Fuck um.
If anything he had more people then the entire os section did when he streamed. Over a hundred million views when jagex paid him. This would bring more traffic back to the game as well as a simple google search will show you, his channel name followed by runescape there’s at least a dozen streams and videos. He is far from a one game Andy though as you know

@@nemjef121 Theres ways of making the grind not too bad like a fat bong rip helps numb the mind, but the main trick is, is to go train some skills that require low input, like afking at nightmare zone, got 99 strength there pretty easily
@@nemjef121 - I'm talking in terms of attacking 1 particular skill and getting it to 99, runescape is meant to be an all round experience, you mix up the gameplay normally by bossing, minigames, pking, questing, clue scrolling etc etc. Runescape has outlived many many other mmos for a good reason.
Here’s a huge tip! If you’re trying to follow a group member through obstacles like trees, gates, ect you’ll get stuck sometimes if you right click follow them. Instead, use a random item on the person you want to follow, and it’ll take the path they take and not get stuck
