The last month has been wild - I felt to London to compete at the European International Championships - my first overseas Pokemon Card tournament ever! It was an incredible experience, where I made a lot of friends and met so many people.
I tried to squeeze some Japanese Pokemon card videos in while I was visiting family in Italy, but eventually the trip got serious when I found a League Cup in Lazio - it was an offer I couldn't refuse, so I had to focus on my TCG skills once more on holiday.
Anyway - I'm home now - so here's a quick update on the trip and some insight into what's to come leading up to Card Party this June. See ya soon - and thanks as always for your support!

As someone from the UK, I can agree that everything about London and the UK is mid or worse. I've never stepped foot in London and I never really plan on doing so. Glad you were able to turn it around and get that win in Italy! Sometimes when stuff like that comes up you take it, and in your case you came out of it smiling. Good luck in getting the rest of the points you need!

Bro it depends where you go to eat lol. Trains and tubes are good when they're not on strike. Some really good spots to eat in London but you gotta know the spots. Yeah it can be expensive, depends where you go again :)

As a Londoner, I’m so glad you said what you said, I’ve never understood the mass appeal of London, yes parts of London outside of central has a lot of culture, especially East London. But when you compare London to Tokyo, Rome and Florence for example, mid is a complement.

Its funny, im from london… just came back from a 3 week trip traveling australia and thought it was the worst country iv ever been to and half the people we met were racist or said stuff that just wasn’t ok to my mixed race and black friends. You didnt know were to go in London. Simple. You had good food in oz, thats about it.

oh yeah that's a massive problem in Australia unfortunately. i'm sorry you and your friends had to experience that side of Aus; the best parts of the country are definitely out of the cities, along the coasts and in the forests/bush. much like what I hear about the UK; it's better out of the cities. i got a bit carried away with my bit ;P but at least we can agree on the London food being horrid, right!

Haha amazing. I also share your sentiment for London. I had an 11 hr layover so we went exploring and I was searching for a pair of nice shoes (I like to buy shoes when I travel 🙄) I couldn’t find anything except one store downtown but the shoes I liked were close to 3k usd so that was a bit out of the question.
