Right on time! 😊 I literally just made my first batch of this last week and have to make another one today. I like it on my ends so far! I mix mine with a little castor oil and essential oil. I read a trick for straining…if you use a metal strainer while it’s still hot, you can avoid the mess a bit, and it actually strains easier while it’s still hot. I’m going to try your tip on making a thicker consistency today.😊 But girl yes…I’m ALL about DIYs! 😄 I make masks, teas, oils and butters. My hair is thriving and I think that is a large part of it. Thanks for this video! 🌸

I did notice SimplyJuliaLauren using a metal strainer and I wondered whether that would work when it's so thick. Go you with your DIYs that's so cool.

I made my flaxseed gel thick like you do and I liked it! Thanks for the tip!

DIYs are the best! I mix my own oils and I’ve just discovered dry oils which leave your hair moisturised without the greasy feel.

Hey 👋🏾 that's so cool!! What do you mean by dry oils? I'm not familiar with that term.

Strain while its hot in a metal strainer, its less messy.

Thanks for watching. If you check the video before this one to see my length. I also have a vid on how I passed my shoulder length plateau, I've linked 🔗 it in the description box. I haven't done a vid yet on my full hair journey. I'd have to really go digging for old pictures but it's coming soon.

I can’t say that over ever made a perfect flaxseed gel. The consistency is never quite there. I’m going to try again now and let it boil for the longer length of time you suggest. Maybe due to the fact that my gel comes out on the thinner side, I’m able to just pour it into a strainer as soon as I turn it off. I let it sit and drip for about 10-15 minutes, then I just stir the seeds around until I’ve gotten pretty much all the gel out and no seeds in; SOOO much easier than the cheesecloth/sock/pantyhose. Try that first next time. Hope it works out better for you. TY for the video. 😊

@@adrienneyt2250 yeah it's taken me a while. Another lady responded suggesting to try a strainer. I wouldn't have expected it to work because it's so thick but I might try it. Thanks for the tip and for watching 🙂
