He can speak now. In Thailand he was permanently sedated. They do it in for an easier life. They also sedate the old ladies in care homes in the UK. Nurses have been jailed recently for sedating many patients for what they describe as an "easy shift."

Hi Eddy, You are looking much better than when you were in the Thai hospital. Recently one of my cousins had a motorcycle accident and almost lost his left leg. He needed many rounds of surgery and they saved his leg and he completely recovered. I remember him telling me before the surgery the doctors always told him the risks and even had to sign many pages of paperwork in case something happened to him during surgery, death or something else. It’s basically the hospital covering themselves, so you can’t sue them for liability. But without signing the paperwork there would be no surgery. The doctors told him that any kind of surgery is risky, there are always risks. I suppose that they will speak to you about something similar regarding your surgery. I wish you all the best, good luck with the surgery and hope you have a speedy recovery! I have a feeling you will get through this and soon it will be a bad memory from the past! They dont rush it eddy ...they have to make sure you have the best chance of survival.... get the best people in place ... aftercare has to be planned .... your insurance basically dumped you on the nhs

The phone call is just to make sure that your consent is an "informed consent" and they will tell you what is the possibility in a worse case scenario as a result of the operation. Its basically to legally cover the backs of the NHS. All operations have risks. In your case if you do not have the operation the tumor will just get worse and eventually kill you... So as you said you have only one choice. That is to have the op and hope for the best outcome. The good news is that its odds on the outcome is usually a good one. I'll be thinking of you at 10.30 am Monday morning tell the surgeons, to bring it on to get that lump out of your head.

If you cannot afford a life saving operation some countries leave you to die, they’d just ask you not to die on the premises. I doubt American is like that, not as a civilised nation. In Eddie’s case he is wise that he had insurance in Thailand.

Stay positive eddie, am glad they got you into a wheelchair today they wont keep you in bed 24/7 , if they can get you out of bed they will, even if they have to use equipment to assist you they will even if its a hoist and sling, because you cant weight-bare. Your speech and awareness has improved tenfold. My guess is it is benign tumor, as damage done by cancerous turmors dont reverse the damage it has caused.

He is scheduled for a conference call with the admin and maybe part of the surgical team. THis will be a discussion as to the risks, surgical complications, recovery plan and if a tumor removal is possible. Eddy wants the surgery and he spent repeating this. He speaks and sounds better
