"Dont forget to diversify yo bonds n****" - Wu-Tang Financial. lol. seriously tho, I absolutely Agree. I think Keenen-Ivory is left out and hardly mentioned anymore, as well as Damon has lost alot of Heat since the 90's. Keenen & Damon in general IMHO are owed alot of thanks opening for doors for people of color in visual media in the 80's & 90's when it was rare to see a sitcom or movie that wasn't sterotypical bs

Keenan Ivory Wayans is a genius. Almost everything he touched or had a part in the comedy world is greatness. He helped so many people get their careers started. This movie and Don't Be a Menace in the Hood I have seen so many times I can literally say them word for word and still watch both a couple time's a year at least . This film is brilliant and hysterical. A great parody of the Blaxploitation genre of the 70s and some very memorable performance and moments. I recommend "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" if you like this movie , which pokes fun at the bleak 90s film of gangs and growing up in the 'hood.

_Low Down Dirty Shame_ is action hero Keenan at his best; funny, capable, resourceful and suave. (and how's this for topical, it co-stars Jada Pinkette in easily her best/most likeable performance as _Peaches_ the assistant) _Most Wanted_ is also above water and I enjoyed it though not as much.

I went to see this movie in the theater with my fellow Army buddies on post in its first weekend of release. It was heavily marketed through Black television and radio 📻 everywhere back in 1989. The sold-out theater was so loud with laughter, that you had to listen keenly after the funny parts. I will say after seeing this classic, out of all the funny scenes, the one that we laughed and talked about the most after & months later was that brief Chris Rock scene. That scene has been talk about and laughed about for years now. It's a very funny & memorable scene that I would say for all time in that movie.

Many, many years ago, I remember reading an interview with Keenan Ivory Wayans where he said that his parents were extremely intelligent and well-educated people who didn't let their children slack and pushed them to succeed, but they also loved to laugh; so the children would have to go all out and bring their A-game to the dinner table every night to see who made their parents laugh the hardest--even the babies had to prove their stuff. It was there that the Wayans developed their comedic chops. Keenan Ivory Wayans has the most unique way of writing a scene that sounds like real people would have said those words. It's a gift. And that is why he is probably one of the most realistic and extremely underrated funny guys of all time. Now you got to do "Low Down Dirty Shame"--my absolute FAVOURITE Keenan Ivory Wayans movie of ALL TIME!!! Please!

OK. Story time, and yes its true. I was doing some electrical work at a steel mill in a really bad neighborhood, drug bums everywhere, little kids stealing peoples lawn chairs, and easy access drive through drug pick-up. We needed to find a place to eat for lunch, so the crew I was with chose a local chicken place which are usually pretty good in bad areas. We were very wrong on this place. All they sold was fried chicken legs, homestyle cut fries, and slices of wonder bread. While I was in line the guy in front of me started trying to haggle for one chicken leg and four slices of bread. They agreed on the price, which was like $1.99, he then proceeds to wipe out rolls of twenty dollar bills, the lady at the registers facial expression and rolling of her eyes was priceless not to mention how hard it was for me and three other guys to not laugh, which we did none stop in the van on the way back to work.

This has been in my top 2 favorite comedies since they released it. One of the best comedies of all time AND its under-rated and half the planet doesn't even know it exists. Thank you for making this video.

Also.... That was back in the day when the credits rolled, you did *NOT* get a scene afterwards. Absolutely unheard of back then.

I'm 38yrs older and I been watching this movie since my uncle showed it to me at 5-6yrs old and was a must watch wheneverit came on basiccable at his house...my favorite part at that age was the pimp with dead goldfish feels n it breaking... I then became interested in it again around 10-14yrs old watching it again as a young teen with my friends and understanding the jokes now I didn't when I was 5...and a lot ofthe funny lines becoming inside jokes between all of in school n hanging out...Chris rock part being the funniest skit I've ever heard up untilthen... and evermore legendary when he returned on in living color with more... I still have the DVD as a adult and thereis too many funny parts to pick just one ... but I will say this was a ruff draft to their Magnus Optus which is "DON'T BE A MENACE..."

This is the second time YT has failed to notify me of a new video! AAAWWHHH!! Anyways, loved this movie growing up! Watched it all the time and you're right: no one part is my favorite because ALL the parts are my favorite. The gun loading part, where there's a sandwich being loaded as well. The band following the hero because "every hero needs a theme song" . LOL shit!! The part about the medals! "Typing...darts...surfing". So damn many man! Chris Rock line " fuck the cup, pour it in my hand for a dime" my brothers and I would say it all day long to each other. Too many laughs! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS! MADE MY DAY( NIGHT)! PS: NO WAY THIS MOVIE GETS MADE TODAY, AMIRIGHT?

I was 5 years old when "I'm Gonna Get You, Sucka" came out. I saw it at a drive-in theater at night and it scared the hell out of me!😂😂 I had older cousins that wore a lot of gold chains, so I was scared that they might "OG". Dawn Lewis was scary as hell with those "cramps". Anne Marie Johnson was scary when she started taking her while body apart. Jim Brown's bunion looked like a monster was trying to crawl out of his foot. This movie messed my 5-year old head up! I had to rewatch it when I got older to fully appreciate it.😄😄😄

Ah i love this movie! and your channel as well, excellent job on all this mate. All these movies you review are from my childhood, so many good memories and laughs and you ask exactly the same questions we used to ask. My brother and i to this day, still do the "You can leave via the stairs or via the window" whenever we can work it into a conversation with each other, which is surprisingly frequently. But the whole stunt guy as his mum just totally won us over, so damn funny, clearly intentional which made it so much more funny.

If I'm not mistaken, Bernie Casey was in this film because Richard Roundtree turned it down. If you listen, "John Slade"s theme music is the "Theme From Shaft"! Something I somehow didn't realize at the time... comics artist John Romita modelled "Luke Cage, Hero For Hire" on a clean-shaven JIM BROWN! (Artist Gene Colan also modelled "Blade, Vampire Slayer" on Jim Brown.) One of my favorite brief moments was "Who is that girl?" "The director's sister." Close-up on an embarrassed Keenan Ivory Wayans-- THE DIRECTOR! Other than that, I thought her singing onstage was a parody of the girl who sang "Live And Let Die" in the Filet Of Soul restaurant in the movie LIVE AND LET DIE. The style was very similar!
