Wow! Love the recipee. I'm inspired to try it particularly becauze of the okra. My hair never holds moisture unless castor oil or petroleum is in it. I can imaging the slip it will give.

Bukola. Thanks sis for your support. Usually a butter is a non water base product that is meant help keep the moisture u applied in your hair from the leave in conditioner. Which means a leave in must be water base in order to keep ur hair hydrated. If you are not sure about your leave in, spray ur hair with some water first then apply ur leave in before u seal with a butter .

Ijeoma. Beeswax is a thickener therefore other one will do like cornstarch, xanthan gum etc. With preservative it can last between 4 - 6 weeks

Ijeoma. A leave in conditioner with water base moisturizes the hair very well but it usually advise to hydrate your hair with some water before applying your leave in.

Great recipe. Does it work for low porosity hair ? I notice you didn’t seal it with extra oil after the leave in. Is that ok to not use an extra layer of oil ?

Can I use murumuru, babassu oil with avocado butter (that's my butter mixture I have)? Do you have to use beeswax ( I have emulsifying wax and BTMS)?

Kimberly, I haven't used that butter nor oil before but if they work for then fine. Beeswax is a thickener, any other can replace it
