Fifa/EAFC is not a football game anymore. It's a trading card game. Our community is to blame because if any other Triple A game were to come out feeling and looking so unfinished, there would be riots in their respective communities. How we went a whole year last edition having the game not save our settings is the ultimate example of how the FIFA community lets EA get away with not even be able to include basic necessities in games. What a farce.

The problem is all the new animations, if you slow down some of the replays and watch it you’ll see I’ve had the ball rolling through players feet, tackles that teleport the ball away from my feet when I’m past the defender a ball that travel with the travella curve when it’s played with the instep 😂😂😂😂 this game was never finished and they sell it at £60 a time ,it’s straight up robbery

I have felt exactly what you describe since FIFA 2020. Since then, I thought it was the user's fault, so I changed the Internet operator, monitor, consoles, pads, cables and still the same problem. And while before I couldn't get enough of this game and could sit all day long, now after 3 hours in the weekly league I feel disgusted with myself.

My wife told me some few days ago when I was playing MK1 that she is always happy when I play it and when I ask her why she said that she said anytime I am play the soccer game she hears me screening at the game, This is when I knew this FC24 game is not good for my mental health.

100% true. At night everything seems so smooth. It was similar in FIFA 23. Nothing has changed. I don't know how so few people notice this. Sometimes the gameplay is so slow that it's like you're playing at 20fps.

Honestly Inception I feel for you, late last night I played the new cup and it was the most enjoyment I got out of eafc since its release. Played today and it's back to the usual 😭

There were moments in Fifa 23 where the game felt so slow too, and my players felt like they didn't have any stamina. Nothing ever changes with EA, only their wallets.

Completely agree ive been struggling with this for years (since fifa 16) it feels like im playing 2 different games depending on whether im playing at either day or night and it is absolutely obsured that a company cant fix a issue like this its beyond me

East coast US player. Daytime play vs. latenight play is absolutely incredible. But I don’t want to play from 11pm-1am all the time.

I'm almost giving up on this game. I only insist on playing because I love soccer. But is too irritating. No offensive player can run and beat a good defensive player. They lose all plays. And you can only score a goal in 2 or 3 different ways. That's all. It is almost impossible to build a play and score a goal through the midfield.

Im glad i haven't gave any money to EA this year.. Probably never will until they come out with a better game.

Gameplay issue is one thing but to have actual good players playing 5 back and being straight up annoying is just too much. The player base and the company are attrocious

So many rant videos already this year, but this is by far the most broken part of this game. I live in a very large congested city so I actually get terrible delayed/stuck in mud game play 90% of the time and the few times I experience good gameplay it feels like someone put the game on fast forward since I hardly get to play it that way. Shouldn’t have to plan to play after midnight to enjoy the game…I could do that when I was young with no responsibilities, but not so much anymore

I actually really enjoy your rant videos, I feel like I need to bring this up, I work mid day shifts and I come home late my game play feels so muuuuch better compared to when I play in the morning-afternoon in my days off.

Bro if they fixed this issue they would make so much more money cuz people would be way more engaged for the whole year. Whatever it costs to fix it would be worth it long term if they want to save this franchise.

Inception I love you so much for this man. I’m a good player and win 70% of my games and still find the experience of winning completely frustrating and joyless. When I lose it’s because of the broken press and broken animations and when I win it feels like complete luck. How can the players feel like they are moving through thick mud one minute and then next time it feels like they’re ice skating. It’s possible to love these football games and want to play EAFC but also be furious about the quality of experience they give us. Thank you for not being scared of offending the community or damaging your reputation, and using your platform to be brutally honest. Your reviews are your bread and butter now but it’s these types of videos that matter most to your viewers.

And this is why I play WL only in the night on Saturday to Sunday an never before 11pm. At that time in europe, the game feels smooth and responsive and I usually go 8-2/9-1/10-0. If I play the game on Sunday during daytime to finish WL, all the stuff that works during nighttime (player movemoment of my controlled player and AI, passes, touches and dribbling, shooting, even speed of the ball when passing) does not work anymore and I start losing games in a total random way. When I play at night time, I usually lose, because my opponents are better. During daytime? You lose because your players feel like bronze players. And yes, the same goes for squad battles which is a freaking offline mode (only playing for Evo‘s and objectives).

You're absolutely right Inception! You're a hero that we don't deserve honestly... We need more content creators like you to voice out their opinion. I've been facing this issue as far as I can remember. Everytime I take a leave/break from work and want to just enjoy gaming, I immediately regret it since the gameplay is horrendous during the day and it's literally the opposite during the night...

You just perfectly described my experience of playing EA FC. Sometimes my players are always off balance when they receive the ball, they won’t run, they ignore the ball, they won’t touch the ball, they bump in to each other and fall over and so much delay. My opponent is pulling off skill move after skill move and my players won’t kick the ball

It is crazy, even just playing squad battles in the day vs late at night and the gameplay feels so different.

i dont know if its related to the gameplay speed issue, but dynamic difficulty is real. the 73 depth thing is when your opponents AI is set to legendary or higher. At kick off both teams AIs are usually semi pro, you can see this by the huge space created between the cdms and cbs and you have to constantly offside trap. So many variables affect the difficulty of each players AI, one thing i have noticed this year is technical dribbling. It almost always instantly lowers the opponents AI in certain positions. Have you ever second man pressed and just been completely dribbled by, and then try it again later and easily win the ball back. Why does the same input have different outcomes? its because of the current AI difficulty of the player at that moment. It is not a script constantly for or against you, it swings. but when your opponents AI is on legendary, you cannot break through without a long finesse shot if the player has any reasonable skill. When your AI is on semi pro, you cant even make short 10 yard passes if there is a defender nearby. I have been saying this since like fifa 12, its always been in the game, this year someone had the dynamic difficulty indicator on their screen and it was literally telling him when his AI was changing in an online match. If you play ultimate squad battles, their players have insane stat boosts, this exact mechanic happens in online game, switching between semi pro and legendary (maybe ultimate but legendary and ultimate are so hard to see the differences) The AI needs to be toned down across the board.

This video has a definite “after school movie” vibe to it. “This is your brains, this is your brains on EAFC.” Jeez. . . .

It's impossible to play during the daytime. I played 5 champ games in the morning and got slaughtered, 5 more at night and they were literal bots. Manual interceptions are also nonexistent. The number of times my player lets the ball go right past them is unreal.

Thank you Inception! I could try to deal with any broken metas or mechanics if I could actually MOVE my players. But because I almost feel I have no control of my players, it is just simply impossible. I play on 34-45ms but it feels like 3000ms. And my opponent.....zero issues. He's running around with 3ms like a well oiled machine just zooming around the pitch. Not once have I ever felt "damn, you know what I think I'm winning this game or playing better because I have the connectivity advantage here". But it exists. No 2 players in the same game are having the same experience, no shot, no way!

This is the greatest video I've seen in a long time. There's a huge thread on the bugs forum. I haven't played in ages due to this and I'm on a 1.2GB connection wired. It's insane, I suffer from input delay and my players are always going through the mud. I give up! I spent money on the early edition and some points for what? To get frustrated at a game which doesn't allow me to control my players without input delay. It seems to favour peoppe with connections which are much lower known as lag compensation. It's so frustrating! I'm glad you're highlighting these issues. It needs more aboit this ! I miss playing FIFA and I hope one day I can play again but right now I just can't play it.

The game is terrible, I've been playing FIFA for years upon years and it is just constantly a disappointment. Glitchy menus on PC, terrible gameplay despite on LAN, and Loss glitches despite getting a winning result. The state of the game is honestly depressing

Absolutely love your undenying passion for trying to make this game playable for everyone. I've sent loads of people to your channel to learn and understand the games limitations (of which there are many). Every person, every person has personally thanked me for introducing them to you and your content. Never give up Inception.

It's a relief to find someone who truly understand the actual issue. One thing that has been somewhat effective for me is using WiFi connection instead of an Ethernet cable, it somehow provides more responsive gameplay

The thing is, I've noticed this exact issue for "offline" squad battles. I wonder is something to do with their anti-cheat sever connection or something?

I am so happy you released that video. After watching streamers thought the problem is my hardware . I spent more than 1000 dolar for new monitor , cables , new cables , router and nothing changed. Even in offline gameplay I feel it is slow which does not make sense. Good to hear that it was not only me.

I really think EA neglected the game cause of the partnership with Fifa ending. Fifa probably had certain standards and expectations for the game putting some pressure on EA (I mean it still had mad flaws). The game is buggier than ever and dull, the menus are always freezing and I always have to reset the mobile web app. One of their main features was claim all objectives and yet, you can't even see your objectives done unless you scroll all the way down or restart FUT It's a shame cause we all love football...

Inception this is an incredible accurate articulation of how the game feels when I try to play EAFC. In my personal opinion/experience though I believe the poor gameplay is actually attributed to the account. As in matches, when my players are reacting incredibly slow my opponents touches, movements and passes etc are snappy fast and what you could expect from normal gameplay. Similarly to the highly speculated red listed accounts on pack weights, I believe certain accounts are red listed in terms of the gameplay they receive. A prime example of this was Friday, I had a friend over who you could consider to have one of those red listed accounts packing countless meta players such as Pele to name one. On Friday both my account and his was used. For purpose of the experiment tactics used etc were identical. When using my account players felt encumbered and lethargic. Upon switching to my friends account the difference in gameplay was night and day different everything was snappy and responsive as you would expect. I don’t know if you have conducted any experiments of this nature but would be interesting to get your thoughts! Keep on using your platform to fight the good fight!

The issue I have is that there are certain games where I can feel immediately I am not going to score a single goal because the positioning/ passing is all over the place and I'm gonna concede near to every attack because my defenders will magnetise away from the ball when I go to tackle... I lost a champs game 8-7 last weekend and my xG was 8.9 to his 3.0. I average maybe 15-17 wins per week and the losses I take are to players who you know you could beat immediately it's like no matter what they do or what you do it's going to work because your defender will tackle them and they'll still end up on the ball somehow

I didnt qualify for weekend league.. cant win 4 games out of 10.. this has not happened to me since it existed! My players just wouldnt work.. i cba playing ranked all week to even qualify

i literally have to wait 2 seconds while holding r2 before my defenders make a run, cursor change is just non-existent, passes are just not working.. 80% of my balls dont get to the player without being intercepted, it doesnt pass to the player i want it to get to.. like favela goals are 80% of the goals i conceed

Everything you have stated is so true it’s insane.. this is the first year where I have stopped playing already as I’m sick of the gameplay in all aspects to the game modes being limited to having to play like I’m playing a ranked mode everyone game. You know what’s crazy!? Call of duty, people complained about sbmm being to high in the game. Sledgehammer the devs response = released a playlist with less sbmm within a week! Ea just don’t care about the player base and it has shown for years.. if this was a different game and not a “football” game which everyone loves this wouldn’t have a player base

100% agree with you this is is completely different from DDA and Scripting. I notice these tiny little animations too. You have to stop when you get the ball and look at what animation the player takes before you do it, or else you will give the ball away if you just asume the way the player will move.

You're not crazy man! I recently moved to Toronto Canada. I've got Bell fiber as well. The same issue for me. During the day it's beyond slow. Night time/early morning it's slightly better but not always. I had the exact same issue in NZ. I had to complete champ games after 1am for okay-ish gameplay.

Crazy that this is being said I always noticed it but I thought it was along the lines of team balancing, for example if your player stats are pacey/high dribble and other team is not then you have that fast feeling but if both are pacey/high dribble or your team is lower then it felt slow, used to annoy the shit out of me I’ve only played the last few years, I hate the latest game paid £90 and put it down months ago well done EA you got the bag and give us a bag of dog shit 😂 (now I see it’s a lot deeper then that) I’d love to just enjoy this game again I hate not being able to play down the middle and playing casuals because I’m awful I’m like 5/4 max no incentive for me to play I couldn’t even qualify for champs last 3 times I tried even more so after everyone realised ea took season rewards…

Hey Inception, For years I have been pretty much hating myself for being inconsistent at FIFA. One day I can defend, the others I can't. You have really opened my eyes as to why I'm shit one day and good the next. Night time and day time game play, I won't play during the day now even if I had a shotgun to my balls.

I’ve recently started streaming, and my stream is referenced’EA FC IS BROKEN” because consistently the gameplay changes from game to game, AI defending and attacking changing, with player movement doing “this and this and this” over and over again. What a terrible game.

One thing i noticed if you play Champs on friday before content the gameplay is so smooth and then after content and the rest of the weekend its so unbearable like you can feel the gameplay is heavy and players input is seconds off

Inception I am so with you. I’ve been playing fifa since 2002, and doing ultimate team since FIFA 10. The best gameplay for me since the introduction of FUT champs has always been 12:30AM - 3AM ET. It’s absolute jokes. I’m a crazy die hard football fan, still watch streamers, but I’ve had enough. FIFA 22 is the last FIFA I’ve played. I’ve seen the light. Until they fix these issues, I won’t be back. I want to be back, but they’ve lost me.

I came off 4 games and I was flying. Players reactive it was great and then 5th game, defenders were slow, sluggish, players being ran through by weaker players

I said it before, the cause of this extra touch trash gameplay is the actual engine. And they know it, but won't do anything about it, until there will be a new game engine. If I'm not mistaken, we have Frostbite since fifa 17. The difference between fifa 16 gameplay and fifa 17 is huge. Since Frostbite was implemented, these issues appeared. And its not only during online gameplay, its present in SB, even career or head to head (kick off)

Inception I love u for talking about the slow gameplay cuz this is the main problem fuck DDA and HC this is the problem because whenever I have a good gameplay my passion for playing this game comes back for 10 mins until I play the second game and it starts to be slow and my players acts like they are playing on mud ffs

My gameplay is ... players feel like stuck in mud, get bullied, ball taken from every angle, outrun by any opponent irrespective of my players pace, can't keep possession unless that side to side passing, unresponsive, game felt good in early days (2-3) and then slow and sluggish. Gameplay of Fifa 6-8 was better than this I guess, felt like football.

Ive been feeling this for years and it literally makes me so mad. How can i play exact same game where my players are moving, responding to my inputs, being able to move where it doesnt feel like the pitch is made from quicksand to then go into a next game and it be totally unplayable. Man I 100% agree and always talk about it to my friends , I tell them when I have slower connections my players are basically useless I have no Ai whatsoever , like I’m playing 11 players on my own , even the gk don’t try to save , it’s crazy how this happens so consistently and nobody fixes it , since last year I’ve been noticing this

They don't want to comment on the subject this is because I think that if the community gets upset, they won't sell anymore. I remember watching the ea fc reveal and the ceo ending with 'this is the best ever gameplay you will ever play' man were we duped and that was the best bit of marketing ever.

I have left this game since 2019 and my mental returned to normal since then.

I also think the majority of the player base is either too new or not proficient enough to notice the difference.

i’m sick of the connection issue, i have good internet and a cat8 ethernet, play right next to my router too, fiber optic cable too. i get 10 ping on every other game and fifa i get red bar and connection and speed lag and choppy gameplay

Thinking it might be the problem because that game is so slow and some time unresponding! But I realize is not either the internet speed or monitor but the FC24 itself. I’ve been playing fifa for 12 years, the attacking AI, player switching, defensive AI,slow game play , players feeling like zombies, passes that absolutely were not intentional , insane rebounds all the time, no have to use any brain cells to score goals (only cut back), no type of creativity,scoring inside the box is impossible, scoring trivela or finesse shot from 30 yards is so simple, since they integrated green timing shooting , the game is screwed. I played fut champs during the day had 6 loses 1 win, I stopped, continued during the night ended losing only one more game. This game is unplayable.

You’re dead on about the kick off gameplay issue. While still UT I’ve had the exact same thing in squad battles. Which shouldn’t exist either it’s still an “offline” game mode. Inconsistent/mudded gameplay is coded into the game in every single mode whether online or offline

Thanks for still trying bro. I'm done with it. It's a shame that I didn't take that decision before spending what I've spent trying to fix the issue. Bought the game on PS5, Xbox One S, bought new router, HDMI cable, 1ms monitor, increased my internet speed. Nothing worked. I've spent hours reading forums and trying all fixes I could. I have all the issues you mentioned, very slow, irresponsive gameplay. I used to be an elite player, playing through all the bullshit. But I just don't have the heart to do the same this year. I remember the few times I had good gameplay that I could even breath better whereas the rest of the time I was highly anxious. They don't deserve our dedication. I'm done.
