100%. That is because you are not in the driver's seat. the AI is. so win or lose, you are struggling with AI more than with another player. AI will even start tempering with your passing when the other player needs to come back in the game. e.g. simple open pas at 6 o'clock, you just need to save the ball for 10s or so, but NOOOOO! your CB passes it at 8 o'clock straight to the attacker's legs... after that you know what is coming, you can't tackle, he gets a rebound after a rebound, bulldozes through anything, and he just needs to press that shooting button - goes in almost certainly. happens all the time. so, this is NOT a game for hardcore players. this is a game for kids who are collecting stickers. that is how it is designed. little boys and girls spend their lunch money for fifa points and get rewarded by EA.

They nerfed mechanics that were difficult to do and buffed the randomness and 0skill plays. The gravity looks different in the teams, when the script is against a team the players can’t move

I am a casual player, last game I played was Fifa 15 I think, and just tonight I played one game where everyone felt great, my players were great and I had an ejoyable experience, and literally the next game I star I just feel all my players slow, not moving, bat first touches, everything felt terrible! I even paused and checked if there was something wrong with my controlls because it clearly was not the same as the previous... After earing you speak in this video I guess I understand what was happening...

I liked the FIFA era that rewarded Tiki Taka laser like passing then sub in a big ST up top for headers if opponent stopped that. Around 16-18 I believe. I like the idea of spacing and passing. Maybe because I score very high in spatial awareness lol. Wasn’t 19 the first year of Goalie movement? Where they were quick af. And fullbacks could catch up to the fastest wingers if beat?

No. The last FIFA game that truly rewarded skill was FIFA 12. And even that game had its inconsistencies but a better player could still overcome the BS at a relatively fair level. Now it’s nearly impossible to overcome the BS that plagues this 💩 game.

A simple fix for now would be to make players lose much more stamina if they're on higher depths/press. I can play with 90 depth for a whole 90 minutes and not have to make a single change.. absolutely blatantly broken. It's crazy that I can play 90 depth and barely get punished while having Blanc, Van Dijk which are both considered "slow".

This is my biggest problem with the game right now. I can deal with the fact I'm playing against sweaty/hard pressing opponents if I know that eventually they'll pay for it in the 2nd half if I can take advantage. But knowing you have a full 90 minutes of sweaty, aggressive pressing and the opposition players never seem to tire is so frustrating.

As a kid I always played on the tv and console and there was a major delay, you had to pass early, shoot early, make dribble moves early. Now that I’m on pc, The only way I can describe the gameplay is that sometimes it feels like I’m playing on pc latency, which is fast and perfectly responsive, and sometimes it feels like I’m playing on tv latency, which is slow af. And the problem with it being slow is that when the pressing tactic and ai defending kicks in, only the attacker is being punished, since defending is all animation based now. Pressing tactical defend on someone like vvd literally never fouls or misses and it makes attacking impossible when it takes half a second for a pass or a turn to register .

I miss the time I could outplay players using Real, Barça, Bayern etc with Benfica in divisions. Not having to switch formations 1000000x. I could play for hours and in the last couple of year I started to get bored after 3 or 4 matches. Now after 1 or 2 I'm done

I switched to efootball 24 after the first rant video and I instantly felt better. Sure, sometimes the controls/dribbling can be clunky, but that’s basically it. I actually feel like I have to be strategic with things in that game because of the limited amounts of “skill moves” and “more complex” shots,passes, etc.

Totally agree about the times that your playing. I noticed that over 5 years ago. I purposely only play after 8 on the weekdays for this exact reason. When it comes to the weekends, I’ll try to play during day and it’s terrible game play. Wait later at night and I have much easier job completing objectives and just have more fun. Been difficult having time to complete all these evos. There’s only so many windows to get decent play. Recently I’ve had more fun doing my player career mode.

1. I appreciate people with a backbone like you. 2. A solution for 71 depth would be, in my opinion, to have the possibility of only depth between 45-65. 3. Unfortunately, I don't have a server "near my house" and I play on 30-36 ms and the connection + gameplay are a mess. I'm a casual player: HOW COULD I ENJOY A FOOTBALL GAME IN THESE CONDITIONS? 4. I hope with all my heart that a serious competitor will appear soon, otherwise we will slowly lose our passion for this game. 5. Literally every game for me is a pressing sweat fest. I don't mind so much if an opponent wants to play that way and go in for early rewards and try and kill the game off but knowing that they're not even going to tire out that much come the 2nd half is so frustrating.

They did that when they introduced ‘constant pressure’ because that like the 71 depth was too OP without any penalty, they patched it so it absolutely drains your stamina and it was more of a ‘Hail Mary’ thing when you’re chasing a game

Here's an idea to fix the 71 depth issue. Lock the slider going above 70 and perma ip ban time wasters. Also just take out 5 back as an option. No downsides to this.

Maybe allow constant pressure or drop back tactics to be accessible from the 75th minute. I know it's not a fantastic solution, but it'll somewhat have a middle ground during the match until that point. Regardless, nothing will be fixed, which is a shame.

Nerf 71 depth, nerf goal keepers, nerf direct passing, nerf goal keepers when shots are taken with the box, make rewards for rivals better, guaranteed team of the week for fut champs as rewards currently suck. NERF corners as they to hard to defend. Fix inconsistent sluggish gameplay.

Inception u would have loved ProClubs Playoffs. Our squad lost 8 games because the match straight up just froze and was stuck there. This bug resulted in a loss for both clubs no matter if someone was winning.

Honestly, the most authentic soccer gameplay i have ever played was Winning Eleven 4. Back then, the only thing that mattered was your skill in free dribbling and how you play. I had stopped playing fifa for a few years( Robben and Ribbery were the top dogs back then) and I blame myself for choosing to comeback to it this year.

I enjoyed fifa 14 bias got cr7 on a gold objective pack which were rare. Even with worse internet i could play much smoother.

It's the players who keep accepting playing like this and paying that have no braincells, developers just do what the management asks, which is something that makes money.
