As a professional random I must say everything was spot on. Not having a squad will have your w/L looking bonkers but that makes the win streaks that much more appreciating. And one thing I’ve learned running randoms only is your biggest haters can be your teammates
HEAVY on that last part... HEAVY! I just played a game today with randoms let me just say someone literally left their man open every play main reason we lost, but mostly everyone played no defense. But I started like 6/6 from three no misses, I miss one shot the big man on my team flops on me... im now about 7/8. That's when I knew he was a hater. Meanwhile he shot 6/13 taking contested standing layups with an undersized center. Then, we lose because he let a small guard lay him to tie the game and we lose in OT. It's crazy the most trash person will send you a message calling you trash just because I'm scoring while someone keeps leaving me open. People are HATERS. If I see someones man leaving them open I'm going to let them eat. People are WEIRD!! Don't get me wrong I play with a lot of cool teammates and win but man A LOT of these guys are truly a headache to play with.....
Aint nothing wrong with inside centers IF you are playing with a squad and the offense is centered around pick and roll. They have a use in Pro AM. In random rec, they are no good unless they know the PG. With that being said, they are not at bad as the dudes who can't stay still and cut all game long, and can't hit open 3's.
@@CDiesel720 We talking about randoms, a good player can make any build useful but they be posting up in the high post so can't nobody drive, give up a 3 every play, the only move they got is a dropstep, then they man be taller can shoot and run way faster.
@@CDiesel720 Another problem is Rec matchmaking puts these inside centers at the 4 and then adds another one at the 5. Having 2 builds that can't shoot added to what you already get from randoms the spacing becomes a nightmare.
I'm so glad that you're a popular 2K figure that actually plays random rec. NOBODY talks about these issues that have quite frankly ruined the game mode. While you can't fix stupid, 2K can do a lot to help normal people avoid these trolls. Basic matchmaking would solve a majority of it by putting players that want to (and can) win together and leaving those "less talented" to play with each other.
they already have matchmaking. when you play rec on like a 90-93, thats who you'll be matched up with but even if you play rec on 99 you'll 9/10 get teamed with idiots at a high 96-99 overall
Sheesh, I feel this. I’ve dropped efficient 20 by half some games. And then get iced out and lose cause we have a small lead and they start doing dumb 💩

bro I swear I hate 90% of inside centers in the rec lol don't set screens just stand under the rim and clog the paint. And yea those mfs never pass out even after missing like 2-3 layups in a row
Well let’s also be fair inside centers actually suck this year like some people just wanna play like a real center but u can’t really do that in 2k cuz layups and post moves suck some people don’t enjoy sitting in the corner all game just standing there that’s not what centers do irl but centers also don’t suck irl at scoring. Also tbh at like 6:17 u see the problem with 2k like dawg no nba center are missing those layups those are open af realistically.
I’m a 99 defensive anchor with 99 offensive and defensive rebounding, 99 block. I get several offensive rebounds a game and I always kick it back out. Only score 8 to 10 points a game but I grab 15 to 20 rebounds a game on rec. I just set screens, catch lobs and grab boards. I need guys to run with!!!
Man I made a inside center that is good …but go into Rec with randoms and then pass out the offensive rebounds and they drive in and try to dunk on me before I can even clear instead of shooting a wide the fuck open 3 lmfao… I had to make a center that can shoot as well, because some guards “don’t need screens”
passing out as a center must be outlawed or something cuz them MFs dont have a pass button. idk whats worse PGs who dont pass or bigs who dont pass out
If you play 5’s, you never truly understand how good your C is, until you play with a bad one. I can’t stress enough how valuable a skilled big can be in winning in 2k. And so many people take that for granted. It’s a game changer when a C has a deep bag
Worst is when a random comes in talking about how bad the randoms is, and they only doing to hit lvl 40, but then do randoms things like take dumb shots or make stupid passes and just blame it on the game instead of taking accountability and then get mad at people for making a mistake when they literally just did the same thing
As someone who mainly plays Center on 2K, the only time I don’t pass out after getting an offensive rebound is if the guards aren’t passing it to me when I perfectly cut to the paint or I’m just straight up wide open in the paint and just not getting the ball. It’s a 2-Way street. You can’t ball hog and take contested shots or get double teamed and not pass it to the wide open man but then turn around and get mad at the big who’s not passing out after getting an offensive rebound. I have a Nikola Jokic type of mindset when it comes to my Playmaking on my Center builds. I have at least Gold Dimer on all my builds so it’s not like I don’t enjoy Playmaking. There’s been plenty of times, in fact 9 times out of 10, I end up having the most assists out of everyone and they’ll still be selfish with the ball after I’ve been Playmaking my ass off. Everyone wants to score so just look for the open man and try to get everyone involved to make everyone happy. Obviously the goal is to win but the game doesn’t have to be won selfishly.
I think the biggest issue with these centers is the fact that they’re so used to being able to go back up with it. This is my first 2k in 2-3 years and in most of the past 2ks I’ve played it’s been pretty consistent going back up with it but this years post scoring/standing lays has to be the dumbest shit ever. I learned early to just pass that bitch unless you’re wide tf open
@@UnderGroundSkoopTVexactly! I’ve seen inside bigs miss layups with their hands right above the rim but a 6’1 guard can go down and dunk on the entire team every single play. It doesn’t make sense
Just recently, a squad of 4 shut me out and I was the Center. No turnovers, grabbing boards, hadn’t missed a shot. I had a mismatch and started doing my post spin… *TIMEOUT* I was HOT! Another instance was when we had a terrible PG who ended up quitting after a 0/7 start, but the SG & PF we’re squadded. They literally just kept icon passing back and forth to each other. The SF and myself never bothered going down on offense because we knew the ball wasn’t coming to us. I hate quoting games, but sometimes you’re forced to.
@@jayoocapoo I play most of my REC games with randoms. Can’t just do that with any build though. And no, I don’t like losing. 65% playing with randoms ain’t so bad.
Dimework no cap.. It is insane how much our rec experience mirrors each other. I run a 6’1 3pt playmaker and i’m a bucket (humbly). I even go out of my way to get the team involved JUST so they don’t sell me cause God forbid if you’re the point guard and dribble for more than 3 seconds. I run Hof Dimer AND Hof Floor general and these mfs miss everything. Randoms are unruly lmao. You’ve literally said exact quotes in this video that I say every time I play rec. Too much ego with randoms, they get insecure when someone else has the hot hand. Whatever happened to just getting the W?
Percentage wise if im playing rec its probably with randoms 60-70% of the time. But when i am playing with my boys i alway tell them, if randoms were honest about it they would 100% rather score the ball (or try too) than win the game. There has been countless games where i get completely iced out after a 12-15pt quarter by myself alone and im just forced to watch the other team slowly come back cause my team has ZERO offense or IQ for that matter.
The inside centers yall run with put a TERRIBLE reputation of us bro lmaooo. I mainly play on my inside instead of my popper and nobody can touch me. I be dominating and carrying randoms just like you too brodie. We should collab and run it up together one day, I believe it would be good content for both of us. Stay blessed fam and keep working!
Sup bro keep doing your thang🙏🏾, I just played a game of rec 10 min where I had 16 points and 7 assists in the first half and everything was going good till the center just stopped playing defense and offense. I would hit this man every time he was open and he wouldn’t shoot or score we lost 75 to 70 😔😔I can’t with these randoms like I’m playmaking and giving them the ball and still find a way to say it’s your fault. 2k got to start penalizing people who do that. It’s literally messing the experience for every body. And it’s not like it’s rare it’s DAMN NEAR EVERYGAME
this vid highlights a lot of the main issues with playing with randoms in rec. lotta the times they be gettin on the mic they just be old heads or just straight up ego hoopers who don't care. like you said you can't fix stupid, also can't teach a old ass dog new tricks. All of us rec players who play with randos we gotta keep that strong mental tho bro 💪🏽 I love to see it
@@legendlonewolf1 most oldheads don’t understand 2K they come in with expectation that’s it’s mycareer or real life. and then they throw a tantrum when you don’t wanna give them the ball.
@@legendlonewolf1 No bro but I get how my comment could come across that way. It's just common that a lot of old folks who like to play 2k (in my experience so it's subjective) are kinda stuck in there ways, do what they wanna do even if it means throwing the game
Vote to kick is the answer to toxic REC randoms. I remember having the feature in Rainbow Six: Vegas back in the day, it worked so well. If I get voted out the game by 4 other players, I just have to accept that maybe they saw a reason to all agree that they'd be better off with my AI. I think the feature actually urges players to communicate, "Yo, my bad, don't kick me!" " An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life." -Robert A. Heinlein, Beyond This Horizon
Something randoms need to hear. If you’re a wing and you don’t have the ball, stand in the corner. Don’t stand on the elbow, or the wing and especially not the top of the key. If you’re in any of those spaces, the point guard can’t do shit. They can’t drive because your guard is in position to pinch, and they can’t use the pick and roll for the same reason. Unless you’re on weak side and they’re driving, you should be in the corner, or cutting from the corner
@@rymesyt851 One elbow/wing can be occupied. Top of key and oppo wing needs to be clear. If pg rotates toward you, cut to rim or wrap around up top to other wing
@@rymesyt851 then it’s ok to be on the wing as it’d be a 5 out offense formation. If it turns into that, then things like back cuts and screens will be easier since there’s nobody in the paint. Also, if you do get in that position on the wing, try to be a little deeper behind the three point line (still in shooting range though), so the point guard still has a bit of space.
Man I could feel your pain just listening to you talking. But these videos are fire man, not only because its dope to watch. But also because we can at least learn from these randoms mistakes and be better.
You a real one for still playing this shit bro, i just can’t do it anymore dawg. I’d rather take care of my mental sanity and play single player games 😂😂😂
I feel your pain bro, that’s why I had to make a center build jokic type , to just space rebound and dot cause I usually run pg but it’s damn near impossible to run with randoms as a pg so I salute you for doing that lol
Dime you speak nothing but facts no homo I love you man 😭💪🏿 like I can relate to you so much we need more guys like you to call out these bums that stuff really helps it doesn’t make me feel like I’m alone I appreciate you heavy keep doing your thing you’re so unique at what you do keep it up forreal gang 🙏🏿💯💯
I really feel this, I play solo Rec half the time as a Stretch Center. I can screen and fade be wide open and the PG or who ever else has the board then just drives to the bucket over 3 dudes and gets swatted off the earth. Half the time I swear I’m invisible to these guys 🤣
At least he'll never run outta content. This year has been my worst experience with randoms. You can be the points leader and have a mismatch and they would rather lose them pass the ball. It's like we're in reverse evolution. These kids are gonna cause the world to end. Ain't no logic in nothing they do.
My biggest problem with rec random is when you hit 20pts and they stop passing! I get most my points off of them bail out passing it to me smh I need Xbox squad hmu if you run with somebody who plays the right way! I finally understand while KD went to golden state to “play the right way “
Inside centers are for sure the ones dat start da problems for the whole team. They go up wit da dumbest shit constantly & if u stop giving them da hall they try to dribble it up da court off the rebound. I feel your pain
Yo just found your channel. This vid was very entertaining and I just subbed. I play a lot of rec with randoms and it’s tough. I play centre so I don’t have to bring the ball up but I’m always spacing the floor and setting screens. I always make my centres with shooting and high rebounding. But I’d like to say I’m an above average 2k player when it comes to iq like intercept steals not jumping when someone’s pump faking timing block shots centres definitely take skill and only a small percentage would succeed in playing centre and that’s why I’ve played centre in every 2k
Ill say this. Sometimes i run big. And when i say EVERY game the team is hogging and wont even let you get wide open dunks even when you anchoring the defense and getting all of the boards. Dealing with that is soooooo frustrating. Then when i play with my sharp sf you watch dudes iso nonstop, get clamped, pass you the ball and call timeout on you after 2 dribbles
I haven’t played 2K in 3 weeks because of this. I’m on summer vacation and after dealing with other people’s kids doing dumb stuff at school I don’t need stress in my home lol. I might get back on again sometime later though
Standing layups this year are awful I made a post scorer as I always do and HOF rise up has been my best friend as you’re more likely to get a dunk then make a standing layup over someone with their hands up… even at 7’3. But I’ve learned the midrange is killer especially against zone I sit at 3 their defense is really good I go sit on the block catch and shoot mids or if someone cuts as I get the ball and their big comes out easy pass/lob. But it’s rarely that simple with randoms. I play but mostly because I don’t trust random bigs🤣and for when they call TM and ball hog I just wait for rebounds.
Rec random are horrible this year. What's wild they be 0 for 10 and stuff still shooting not passing ect. Then wanna ruin the game when they don't get the ball. Wild to me.
I feel you're pain, sometimes I run my inside center and I do set screens roll to the basket I even set off ball screens put these people in rec have no basketball iq and just run around like headless chickens. Did you ever consider making a pro am team I would love to see you run a good team or even take 3 teammates and run rec with plays and dominate.
Bro I’ve been shooting so good this season that I had a game where I went 9/10 and was getting doubled well even sitting corner 😂 shit made me happy to get the curry treatment
Centers like need to realize they need to turn on their layup timing to finish around the paint. Some of those takes weren’t bad if his finishing attributes are solid
Randoms literally want to press X more than they want to win.dee going 7/21 without realizing hey I don’t got it right now and maybe I should do something different is CRAZY!
funny thing when I play on my center with a high offensive rebound and a shooting pg I find it pretty easy win games with randoms but they got to have a little iq though.
Mannnn Dime, one game last week, I was running pick and roll with this inside big got him some easy buckets. Everything was going good, I passed to the open hash because they pinched and my teammate hit the three. He got in game chat talking bout,” Bro you have no IQ why would you give it to him?”
Folks treat rec like it's the 1's and Me against the world. You gotta ONLY worry about getting an A Team Grade and everything else will fall into place
Do you play rec wit randoms a lot on that build ? How do u stay purple lol do u back out if u see u got trash teammates ? Or is there a way to quit without losing performance ? I used to dashboard in season 1 but in season 2 it stopped working for me so I stopped playing rec like all year lol
The inside center is dumb af, but I hate when a PG says they're scoring all the points without giving the other dudes a chance. I missed first 2 3's in the quarter and didn't get passed too till the 4th when we were down 30. I got the ball passed cause they thought I was gonna get turnovers but I went 5-5.
yo dime i got a question. When u be the stepback shotcreating shots, do u use the right trigger to time it or do you use the shooting button. Cause for me its kinda hard to pull off the move with the shooting button but its harder to time it with right stick.
