Today we're discussing the sale of my 2008 Yamaha Raider 1900 Monster V-Twin Muscle Cruiser! I would be remiss of me not to thank Yamaha for providing me the opportunity to own such a blast of a bike through producing it for those great years. This will be a brief video discussing my thoughts about selling the old stead. I will also discuss how much I paid for the pre-owned/used yamaha raider on craitslist as well as what I sold it for. I'll touch briefly on whether or not I think it was worth...

Enjoying the channel... I did the exact same thing... Traded a car for my 2009 Raider. sold it in a weak moment. a year later I'm still kicking myself over it. best bike I have ever owned. as soon as I can afford it I will get another one. I've had a few other bikes in the interum and none of them even hold a candle.

I feel you brother, at the end of the day it's not about the money. We all have those ones that "got away" but I think it's ok to move on. Shutting one doors allows us to open another and you got us. Stay cool, see you on the next one.

I'm the same way. I have my brand new sport bike, but I also got a 2002 Magna V4 for dirt cheap. Fixed it up and now I don't want to sell it. Even though I can make some decent profit, I know I'll miss it and I might not get one with low miles again for as cheap ($1300, $1800 invested).

I just picked up a beautiful red 08 raider s with 24k miles for $4500... came with saddlebags, a pro commander v, led brake/tail (flash), cobra exhaust, battery tender, a 240mm tire, quick release backrest and an led light bar (close to $2K in upgrades).... super clean, well taken care of.. super happy!

I saw one around my area that's kinda similar to what you have mentioned. Its listed for around $5300. Jon got his for ,$4800 with lower miles. Thinking how much I should offer in cash. Thanks

I am 65 and it is getting very difficult for me to ride anymore,However when I look at the pictures of the four harleys I owned and I wish I could go back and repurchase any one of them for what I paid for them. 1978-1990, 1900-3500 dollars three Sportsters and one electra glide. They are sooooooo expensive now and instead of a week to sell one, two months. AHHHHH!!!!! Hind sight is 20/20.

Buying an 08 Raider S with 9k on it this weekend for $5k even Jon if it fits me okay. I'm only 5'8" with a 28" inseam so hoping it's comfortable. This will be bike #47 if so, wheeee. I regret selling some of those bikes but it's just meant to be. As others have said, if you miss it enough often enough, replace it. Thanks for all your videos. Keep up the good work!

Jon, I get how you feel as I've been there many times. I just sold my track bike on Saturday & was 2nd guessing myself but in the end it's just a bike & there's many more out there. I think you made the right decision as that dude loved the bike & that's important, don't sweat it, you'll find another Raider.

Man this channel is so awesome im pretty sure is gonna make it big all moto brands gonna want to sponsor jon, next he is gonna go full time with youtube, next he will be doing reviews on accesories for motorcycles, next and lastly he is not gonna respond to comments anymore since 1million and + subs gonna be way to much to respond to. I regret selling my 09 super glide custom and my 91 Suzuki intruder vs 1400 before the torque was lowered. There is always other bikes you will fall in love with. Next try the vtx 1800 if they haven’t had one yet.

Had mine 7 years love it never sell it Ive had everything the bike is so comfortable 300 mile ride is nothing on this bike so powerful nothing like it the aluminum frame is supreme on it

I live just east of Dallas and the Raiders here are asking around $6500 for a 2009 with 12K miles. I can't seem to find anything in the $5K range without them having tons of miles on them.

I never considered a cruiser motorcycles before because I did want to be the old man out of the group lol. I'm 32y and 6'5inches tall. I want speed and I was leaning towards the Yamaha r1. After seeing this video, I'm really thinking about the Yamaha raider🤔. Looks really good and comfortable. I got to ride one to make a decision. Just wish it came with the fat Bob's head lights. Amazing motorcycle.

My son just bought a 2013 Raider w/2100 miles, no scratches, Cobra exhaust added, he paid 7 for it. It books for 8200, what’s ur thoughts?

yeah man should have keep her brother them bikes are hard to find might no be a good wheelie bike but the looks you get on it and no other bike will ever give that feel when you twist that throttle and the horse power moves that huge back wheel so smoothly so have never sold it sorry bro

You should have kept the 1900 raider .I have looked at them from the first they came out .in 2015 started looking also had a 2008 1700 Warrior I was going to buy a not so old Raider or build a harley an bought 2016 Vintage 111 an love it. Although now wish I had kept the warrior also bought the raiger.one will come along. That's life right

Long time sesciber......question if I made good choise? I got 2010 harley davidson vrod muscle with 2 different aftermarket exhausts and stock, 8k miles pretty good shape just need to polish chrome, drove 5 hours one way to pay $6500.....kinda feel maybe I should bought newer stryker ??? Not sure What you think?

First of all, thanks a bunch for your ongoing support! It sounds like you got a super good deal actually. Based on the feedback from my harley vrod video, and some additional research I did after the fact, I think the vrod is one of the baddest muscle bikes on the block! The Stryker is more of a cruiser. It doesnt stack up in the performance category to the vrod. Also, at that price point you shouldn't have any problem getting your money back, if not making some money, if you were to sell it. $4800 isnt terrible but IMO not some great deal.... like ?? ..... i paid $3200 for my 2008 raider (same color) with 19k miles on it..... granted it needed tires and rear brake pads but its in basically brand new condition otherwise... dealerships around here try like hell to ask stupid silly prices like $7500 or $8k which is like 2-3 grand over blue book..... just silly..

For sure! It was a price point where I was confident I could make some cash. But like you said, not a smoking deal by any means. I ended up finding a red one some while later for $3500. Had like 5k miles. That was smoking deal for sure. Sounds like you got a wicked good deal as well. I rarely see prices dip below $4500. Sometimes $4k.

(personally i entirely prefered black over the other colors and got lucky the one i found for a good deal was my preferred color) secondly what pipes are you going to get for it? I just ordered the sharp curve radius pipes.... felt like the cobra swepts were too long...

@@wormer66 I buy/sell (side hobby). Some I keep, but most I end up flipping for a profit. I've had a few raiders over the years but they're hard to come by for sure. The dude who bought the black raider ended up putting a freedom two-into-one exhaust on it. We did a follow up video on it.

No worries - the side swept isn't necessarily my favorite either. Lol. Just happened to come on the bike. HahahaA

Yeah, it's an o2 sensor. I ran the diagnostic and checked the code. Happened after my exhaust came loose from losing a few nuts. Lol. I'll take you up on that disney hotel discount for sure!
