I just LOVE this costume, all the little details are so cool (and I too love a puffy short look). Also from a content creation standpoint, this is super inspiring because I often crunch too hard to do proper tutorials/build-alongs, but a post-build breakdown is absolutely achievable, and so fun to watch!

I think my favorite thing about your videos is that everything you say is punctuated by your hair doing a swish or bobble. It is a masterpiece of coiffer!

RIGHT HAHA like listen, it's important to be honest with yourself! I knew I wanted to make something that had that WHOA factor, and lbr making something profoundly tall is way easier to navigate a con in than something WIDE

Such a great video! Thank you! Side note… For a future video idea… Wouldn’t hate a sewing/craft room tour that covers that wonderful rainbow fabric storage hack! It seems so useful and also is v v aesthetically pleasing for the room’s framing/video visuals! I also just love seeing how other people organize their spaces when they have to make a space work the best way possible even if the actual square footage is something left to be desired. (Still wondering how my stuff is going to fit in a new but smaller space when I move next 😅)
Oh I am ABSOLUTELY going to be doing this!! I actually filmed my whole process organizing this room back in August, it's just such a beefy edit that I likely won't be posting it till November! But I'm excited to share it!!

That's an absolutely incredible cosplay, and it's incredible how you made it so light weight and comfortable to wear! If you're still taking into consideration stuff to add, may I suggest an hourglass? I don't know how common timers are in other games, but my DM often uses them for "time trials", when we have to make decisions very quickly. Plus, they just look cool, and I think would fit the aesthetic! If you wanted to make it light-weight, you could make the glass out of the tops of two Polar Bear seltzer bottles (or generic brand, with similar shaped bottles), poly-foam beads dyed to look like sand, balsa wood tops, and dowels to keep it all in place!
that's a great idea! tbh there's actually quite a few things I'd love to add eventually that I ran out of time for, maybe some time next year I'll be able to add some more props!
@@HeyLizardLeigh After I wrote that, I was also thinking about it further, and I think it can also represent the "time" lovingly put into DnD campaigns! The time the DM takes to set the campaign up, and the hours players can spend at the table, yet still wanting more!

I saw your costume on tiktok originally, and found my way to here when this video dropped because honestly I love TAZ, love DND and wanted to craft some way of Dice for these costumes that will cross country travel, and immediately..yes a year later, reminded myself of YOUR amazing Dice! I'm now planning on crafting a set of three dice to bring around the con with me! :D I just had to return to this video and recall exactly the amazing way you got the ideas for it! Thank you so much for being such an inspiration that you stuck in my mind for a full year!

Looking back on it I can't believe how fast I made it 😅 That tends to be my pattern, is I'll mentally plan and prepare for a cosplay for MONTHS and months and months, only to actually build it in like two weeks 😆

Can i ask where you even start with a skirt shape like that though? like the high-low with the.....idk, where the bottom edge does the swoopy back and forth thing. is it like a pleated circle skirt with the waist hole not centered or something? i love the look but i clearly don't even know how to describe it to google it lol
Ahh thank you!! Omg honestly I wish I could remember how I started it, I honestly think I started with trapezoids and just pinned it on my dressform until I liked the way it looked. I know it's four pieces total, two for the front and two for the back, and I know that the high-low pattern can be called a waterfall skirt so I think I googled that and just made adjustments for a pleated front!

I believe I got them off of etsy, from a shop called ReallyBigDice! It was actually a paper pattern that I used as a jumping off point figuring out the proportions of the set and the flatlay layouts, I ended up just cutting the faces individually as svg files I made in photoshop!

Oh my gosh no that is a totally valid ask- and actually, I did a full re-organize of my sewing room in August and filmed the whole thing I just haven't edited it yet! But it WILL be coming out! :D
