A WOMAN whose husband transitioned from female to male has come out online to share her experiences of supporting her trans partner. Chase and Elan, from Canada, both identified as women when they started their relationship in 2017. However just last year, the couple were pronounced as husband and wife. The feelings surrounding Chase’s transition amongst their loved ones have been mixed, they say, with some family members affirming Chase’s identity and others unwilling to accept it.

BearhaNighly I’m so sorry I just got this! I think it’s because when you join any dating app, it exposes you to a LIMITLESS amount of potential mates. It’s like a kid in a candy store. If I find a guy I like and talk to him online, we only text for a few days then he ghosts. I think a lot of men are just looking for hookups too, and Los Angeles is a HUGE city with a high human population. So that equals a lot of competition. So it’s hard to find a mate on dating apps. And it’s hard meeting guys in person because a lot of them don’t approach women at bars, they just stare. If I feel bold enough, I’ll try and make the first move, but they sh*t their pants and leave.

I am going to be completely honest. There is more to being a male or female then telling people you want your pronoun to change from m-f or f-m. You can surgically excise or enhance but that does not BIOLOGICALLY CHANGE your gender. It just does not. With that being said, I am all for doing what makes YOU happy, whatever that may be. I would never judge anyone for living in their truth. You have to live for yourself. Thankfully, the world so much smaller now that we have the WWW! There is someone out there for everyone. You will find that person who will love the you that you are now or will become or, they will find you. This couple is the perfect example of that.

I just want to say i started T the same month as chase and the family support ie wife and son the same age as my little one has really given me a sense of normal especially there 10 month update with all the emtional changes! 💓🤍💙
