Moving sucks so baaad. Moving out of state can be scary but it's also so exciting and freeing! I find that relationships with parents aren't bad because you can still talk on the phone all the time. I also use Allegiant, Frontier, Spirit etc to get super cheap 2 hour flights to visit on long weekends (I'm from OH and moved to FL so I am not driving lol). Also, you can always host guests. I love knowing someone in a different city so I can stay for free 😂 I found tons of Facebook groups in my area to meet new people and find activities. It took time but I've finally found some great friends. Best of luck on your new adventure!
I moved to Oregon from the Midwest when I was 18. Remember what you moved for and explore and learn as much as you can! I love Oregon and I do often miss my parents, but I am getting the experience I always knew I needed. Much love and good luck sis

It is really pretty out here in the Fall. I’m in Ohio and I honestly see it more as East Coast than Midwest. I moved from California with a kid so it was rough. You’ll love the change!

I'm moving from Washington to Pennsylvania in a month or two depending on apartment leases and it has been so incredibly stressful despite moving to be closer with my partner and my friends. This video perfectly captured all the emotions that have come along with this process. Even though I don't have a lot of ties to where I currently live in terms of family and friends, it's still been bittersweet. But, I also have that feeling of just wanting to move already!! Thank you for making me feel less lonely in this stressful process

If you ever decide to get pierced again make sure to get it with it titanium metal! It really makes a difference in the healing process and less prone to infections :-)

I did the reverse move. I moved from NY to Chicago. I miss the East Coast so much since moving to the Midwest. Totally get why you felt the need to leave Illinois.
I just moved to NYC, because my partner is going to grad school here. It's really hard to go somewhere that you don't know anyone and get used to a new setting. I feel you but you'll thrive and hopefully have a great time!

I want to leave Texas! I just need a good reason to go! Sadly mom is 82 and declining, so I won’t be able to leave. At least not for a while. I want to move about as far north as I can go. In case you didn’t know, Texas is the hottest state in the USA and I am so beyond over it. It averaged about 105 from Mid June to the first of Sept. I think it was even 100 today. Ugh. So DONE!!! 🥵🥵🥵
