The ‘awards, or plaques’ the sims win during the competition are belt buckles. 😁. That is why you see cowboys and cowgirls walking around with these huge belt buckles. They have been won at various sporting events!
25:23 Listen- I ship it. While he didn’t give you the initial bottle of vitality nectar, he gave Persephone one and a death flower as she was grieving four sudden deaths in the family. Is this… peak romance?
Hey Deli! The goat playing dead is called “fainting” and it only actually occurs in a minor percentage of goats has something to to with I believe a chromosome (I was just watching a video on this) but there are a species of goat called “fainting goats” and it does the same thing!
The frozen pond in the desert is really reminiscent of the high altitude deserts of New Mexico and other parts of the Rockies! As someone who lives there, I can confirm that we’ll get ice and snow right on top of cactus and dry desert dirt
I was wondering, I think it's supposed to be based off Arizona or New Mexico. I guess those of us that don't live there don't realize how cold it actually gets.
Yours is the first playthrough that's let me see snow in the new world!! Even though many say this world is similar to Strangerville and Oasis Springs, I'm liking Chestnut Ridge the best of the 3. Strangerville has weird plants, Oasis Springs is more modern than it is here, and neither of them have snow.
I’m here for the Persephone and Roberto romance. I haven’t seen anyone try it yet! I feel like Persephone initially did it to use him and be a bit of an informational goldigger but then her feelings become real after he helps her bring back Didi
Not Persephone telling Cruiser “I know you’ve only been here one night but… one night stands happen girl!” Then cruiser immediately going to mate after the Persephone pep talk 😂😂❤
After watching Deli’s and James’s first videos, I couldn't resist and impulsively bought the expansion pack. I must admit I'm having a blast playing it! In between play sessions, I found myself binge-watching your Horse Ranch videos. Thank you for making these! ❤️
Am I the only one who is screaming internally thinking "give more attention to old Gunner, me mini goat and sheep before they run off or die?!?!?" Lol. Loving this LP
If you want to see more ghosts in the game, go to the slot in the top left corner of the map of chestnut ridge, where persephone and rose walk their horses in that episode. find the broken bridge, and wait for the night, you'll make a nice encounter here :)
I would love it if in the future Clover gets into the fiber arts like knitting/crocheting/cross-stitching with the wool from her sheep/goats/llamas! It will be a cute nod to her dad who did it a ton when she was a kid ❤ (Plus she can have a rocking chair on the porch to work in next to Persephone sipping her nectar 😂)
Didi called to chat and then it was her last conversation before passing. She just wanted to talk to her grand daughter and catch up on how they all were doing. 😢
What a joy to open youtube and see this video pop up from a minute ago! Thanks Deli for keeping me entertained while I'm hospitalized. Loving all the new Horse Ranch videos!
I’ve been living with a brain tumour for 17 years so I definitely know the feeling of being in the hospital. Sending prayers for strength and healing vibes!
Persephone: "Hey Mom, this is my new boyfriend." Crinklebottom: "Howdy ma'am." Yasmine: "Well, you seem quite... mature. I'd guess you're old enough to be my daughter's grandfather." Persephone: "..." Crinklebottom: "..." Yasmine: [side eye] Persephone: "He's helping us get back Gramma Dee Dee." Yasmine: "So who is walking you down the aisle?" Persephone: [side eye]
5:12 there is a breed of goats from Tennessee that have a hereditary condition that may cause it to stiffen or fall over when excited or startled. It is more of a disorder than a defense mechanism.
“Persephone flirted with him” like she did it on her own, you made her do it Deli😂 I did think it was very unlike you to have a young adult flirt with an elder, so when you found out I was like “aah, she didn’t realise he was and elder” 😅
The way I figured out my horse was pregnant was trying to edit it in CAS and it was like cannot edit a pregnant sim but those tips you said will help me in future breeding in game. Loved this episode! I’m actually afraid of horses irl due to an experience I had as a child. I do notice the whole horse pregnant message can take some time too. I’m still enjoying horses despite the fear in game.
you should add a bottle of finely aged nectar to the family box to pass down to future generations of nectar makers. Like real-life generational winemakers
istg i love this new series! I used to horse riding for six years, but i have an small accident (which made me little traumatized) and this made me wanna come back!!!
To answer your question from your last video. Horses do get injured jumping quite a lot. They have been observed naturally doing it in the wild so it is natural to them. It does stress the tendons and ligaments and the impact does injure the horses joints. However the muscles needed for jumping are powerful and that also protects the horses joints and ligaments etc. Show Jumpers are often retired quite young because of the strain and are often then bread. Having said all that, it is a special kind of horse that gets to that level jumping. They live to jump and you can tell that it makes them so happy. I had a horse that was like that, as soon as he saw a jump he headed to it even if I was avoiding jumping that day. During competitions as soon as we were in the ring he was hard to hold back and as soon as the start bell was rung he was off and it was really a matter of pointing him in the right direction, keeping him calm and making sure he approached the jump safely. Which was hard work with his level of excitement. So it's a bit of a balance really and we just have to trust the professionals to retire the horse when it's best for the horse and not their own career. To be fair on the pros I've met, they love their horses so much they'd never intentionally push them to breaking point. It's much more ethical than horse racing, that is all about money.
i know this let's play is more about the new horse pack but i'd love to see more of the entire family again, maybe set up Yasmin, Kyle and Alpine (and the toddler aunts and uncles) - renovate their house or so?
My sims are only automatically changing into swimwear after this update, they aren't changing into cold weather clothing when they get cold even when they're running around autonomously
I found a vitality nectar normal quality for $17,430. just started a Ranch to Ranches it was in the first grass I harvested. Umm dang lol well I'm not spending it that would defeat my purpose of the series lol. so I'll put it in the rack when I can afford it and let it age.
I love to see Rose lean towards western events, while Persephone can switch Cruiser to an English saddle and blanket while doing English events. Western events would be barrel racing, reining, western pleasure, western dressage etc. English events would be dressage, hunter/jumping, english pleasure, cross country etc. Western saddles are bulky for heavy work and due to sizing they have a bigger blanket that is rectangular. English saddles are light for activities and have a rounder blanket since it's not as bulky. I wish the Sims team made it possible to set different number outfits for horses like we have for the Sims, so we can have an English one for Jumping and Endurance, then Western for Barrel racing and Trail riding in the open world. Seeing sims jump with a western saddle that has a horn right where the pelvis pulls towards in a 2 point/forward seat position makes my pelvis wince haha. Also fun fact is the horn on a western saddle is used when corralling livestock like a cow and a lasso/rope is thrown from a rider to the head/neck of livestock and once locked on the cow a rider ties the rope to the horn of the saddle as an anchor. Rodeos have events called tie down roping where a rider will lasso a cattle and immobilize them, showcasing a skill that's important in ranch life for cows/calves that are injured or sick and need to be isolated from the herd to be seen by a vet.
Nectar is way too OP. I sold a bunch of excellent finely aged nectar to the Crinkletop guy and earned 250K 😂 Sure, the nectar making skill takes ages to max... but only if you're not living on a tiny living lot 😏
OMG no way you‘re actually responding to the coments?! Your channel is SO BIG! Or does someone else do it for you? I mean that would be totally reasonable, I’m just curious :)
Im enjoying this pack. The animals are so cute. Im having so much fun with it. Sidenote: I was hungry and thinking what to eat and you mentiones grilled cheese and tuna. And i lit up. So im gonna make myself a tuna sanwuch and watch the rest of this.
the horse can only enter 1 time a day but you can enter as many times as possible as long as you have different horses. so you couldve entered the other horse right after if she wasn't preggers.
Was hoping we would focus on rose more. Love that we had a foal. Perhaps that could be Clovers horse? Maybe plan a stayover with the nectar guy. If he moves in perhaps we could check his family tree and see if he is related to Agnes. ❤🌹
The horse belly does get bigger when pregnant. I talked to a few other players who were disappointed that horses don't get sick. A missed opportunity for pack integration. However I suspect a lot of players would say DLC 4 DLC. Though I don't see many players only buying this pack and not Cats and Dogs. 🤔 Cute they remembered to add hoove prints in the snow. Oh but imagine making a snow horse?
Not all goats faint, it’s a genetic trait that can be bred for hence the breed of fainting goat. They don’t actually faint it’s caused by the muscles stiffening up causing a brief paralysis. It’s not bad for them and can happen if they’re too excited or scared.
So the goat thing... Fainting goats are a breed, and I think they are just kept for milk, meat/skin and as pets today. They have sudden stiffening of muscles when they're spooked and try to run away, and sometimes they'll fall over which looks a bit like they are fainting. It's actually a condition, a desease (I'm not sure what the right word is) that humans started breeding upon. I've heard they were first bred like this because the sheppards wanted an insurance in case a preditor attacked their flock of "other types" of goats, sheep etc... Meaning if for instance wolves came along to attack the flock, this one (poor) fainting goat would fall over, to become an easy prey and the wolves would take it - giving the rest of the flock time to escape and saving them from the attack.
No one talking about the sandwich is impossible 1:37 cheese, tuna, mayo, butter pickles and jalapeños. Girl if you are not pregnant lets chat about these choices XD
Fun goat fact - the only goats that faint (without being a medical emergency lol) are the breed Fainting Goat. If other breeds faint I’d be immediately going into a panic.
My mom grew up on a farm. She said it's rare to call vets to help horses with birth unless something goes really wrong. They usually let nature do its thing. Apparently, they don't feel as much pain as humans so they rarely need to be drugged.
I'm a horse girl, but haven't even got into the gameplay with them yet because I wanted to know the unknowable first. I won't spoil, but since reddit and twitter have convinced people that it doesn't have an end, I will say yes, the caverns do have an ending. It just allows you to continue afterwards if you want. There's no reason to, other than to see how far you can get because at that point, it's insanely difficult and not much fun anymore. Also, I'm not sure anyone will find that ending without cheating, (needs, items, skills, money, cancelling dazed). It took me around 30 hours of play time cheating all those things until I found.. what I found.
Is the "scared of the dark"-fear still broken? A while ago my Sim got it, and it just wouldn't go away again. I defeated the fear, and it would just come right back. I got rid of it with cheats, and even then, it would just come right back. Fortunately, there's a mod that gets rid of this fear specifically, so if Persephone keeps having it at all times, maybe you could look into installing that mod!
