Was screwed by Ford, ordered a Bronco in Jan. 2021. Ordered a Maverick in June 2021, XLT Luxury package, FX4, 360, trailer tow, and moonroof for $31,000. Got emails from Ford that the Bronco and Maverick were going to be be delivered in Feb. 2022 near the same day! My dealer called and asked what I wanted to do. Of course I chose the Bronco. Two days after this decision the Bronco delivery changed to end of Feb. By then the Maverick was already sold! The Bronco went on chip hold and made it to the dealer at the end of July. Ended up with a Bronco Sport instead of the vehicles I ordered…What a mess.
I can wait, I opt for xlt with 360 and slide back windows, I still have 04 Chevy Colorado as spare truck beside my regular commuter car (which I also order from factory, only wait for 3 months)
Last week I looked at the Ford Maverick on CarGurus and found about 2 dozen Mavericks on the dealer lots within 75 miles of me. All trim configurations and both hybrid and AWD. And they were all MSRP.
Did you confirm with any of the dealers that they are actually charging MSRP? Most of them list MSRP online, but when you call or go into the store, they tell you their markup. If MSRP, where are you located?
I actually just ordered one a couple days ago, my dealer called me in and had a “fake” order switched to under my name. I even got an order confirmation !
I ordered a 23 xlt hybrid, blackout package and hitch only options. Imo the 300A and keypad are worth the extra for the XLT plus I did a ton of research and learned that was the most common choice. I got my email on the 16th (the day after order banks opened). Unfortunately it was from a pretty large dealer and he had many orders and it's a hybrid. I'm just hoping it shows up by the summer when gas prices start to go up but I don't want the ecoboost because it is not fuel efficient enough to justify the $400-$500 a month note plus insurance increase. If Hyundai offered a hybrid Santa Cruz I'd have ordered both. More manufacturers need to make these priced trucks with hybrids or all electric around 250 miles of range. If they can figure out how to get towing to around 4k in the hybrid to handle medium sized boats, RVs, or construction trailer I don't see why anyone would get a Ranger Tacoma or Colorado ever again.
Good choice! Especially the BAP. Dont let them talk you into changing that even if it takes longer. And the hitch is constrained but wait for it because it will cost $500+ later. Just running the wiring harness all the way to the engine is a big job. The Mavs you can see in the videos on my channel might help you. You can add options and I suggest the 110v plug in the cab. Great for plugging in laptops on road trips. I also believe in 360 because one distraction and it can save you from an accident. Hope this helps!
I'm in the same boat in the sense that I have no interest in switching to an Ecoboost because the fuel economy of the hybrid is one of the largest things that drew me to the truck in the first place. If I'm going to be getting the MPG of the Ecoboost, I'd probably start cross shopping other vehicles anyways. Good luck and I hope you get your order!
I filled out the paperwork on the Sep 19 and I had it in Ford's hand on the 20th. Cyber Yellow XLT Hybrid with most of the bells and whistles. update from from the dealership on Oct17 that the order was in and i was good to go. No update from the dealership and I just sent an email this morning asking if any other order from that dealership has gotten any update. According to the sales rep, the person who placed a order will eventually get an email from Ford with a VIN stating its in line to be built. I'm not in a rush to get it, I wish there was a way to confirm with Ford that the order was received and aprox month or quarter the Truck will be ready. If the truck order will fall apart, i would like to know months ahead so i can look into buying another vehicle.
You can reach out to Ford Chat online or call Ford and provide them with your order information and they can check it out for out. Did you order Hybrid or Ecoboost?
@@FocusedGarage I got an email from the dealership, the sales rep emailed me a copy of the COVP form, Customer Order Verification Process that confirms the order was received. I shows a order number and tracking number. So I feel confident that my order went through and now playing the waiting game. I ordered the Hybrid.
I also ordered a 2023 Maverick, but an XL Hybrid expecting to receive it in 2024. Any suggestions on how not to get scammed by the dealer? I signed a 'Buyer Order Sheet' but is it legally binding or do I need a signed sales contract? Document Fee in Ohio is a max of $250 by law. If you pay $20 for membership to Farm Bureau, Ford will refund you $500 under a 'Special Private Offer'. It is suggested to include in the Buyer Order Sheet the sentence: 'No Add-on accessories on the Repair Order (RO) for the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and the Buyer will receive any manufacturer buyer incentives at time of delivery'. Also, state in the PDI, no emblems/stickers placed on truck except for free license plate holder.
I ordered my hybrid XLT w/copilot 360 on 9-9-21 I have a window sticker and a shipping date should be at My dealer by 10-15-22 ford customer service told me that we will see??? And as far as paying OVER MSRP NO WAY NEVER
I actually did do some research on those, but the higher MSRP and significantly worse MPG drew me away from it. I even considered used Ridgelines until I saw how well they held their value, lol. Redline content coming soon!
@@FocusedGarage - What do you mean “order banks” are closed!? I keep hearing that but don’t know what it means. Do you mean that I can’t go to a Ford dealership and order a Maverick right now? I was going to call them tomorrow and ask if I can place an order.
@@anthonygiordano3991 Yeah, orders closed about a month ago. They took ~86k orders and closed the banks to anybody ordering a week after opening them. Even the people that ordered later in that week probably won’t get their Maverick. So if you call dealer tomorrow, they won’t let you order.
