I Ordered a cheap Osmo Action Dual Microphone 3.5mm/USB-C Adapter to test BUT a DJI one arrived. 

I got banggood one too....been using loads ...no problems at all. That is a genuine cynova you have there. Goes well with ulanzi case which I highly recommend. Cheers Dylan

friend that streams with this takes out the battery, and uses the camera plugged in charging to not damage it. doesnt heat up as much too

Hi Dylan. The Osmo action's adaptor is definitely the best one out there, as all the others just stick out were this one is flush to the side of the camera. Not to mention the price tag Gopro put on their adapter 😲! But, this got me a thinking 🤔 why do action camer manufacturers even bother putting a mike in their cameras? - we all know they suck! All it takes is a wee bit of wind (that's weather kind.....), and their audio is screwed. Instead of going to all that trouble, using up valuable space within a small box, to put a crap mike in, why not integrate a wireless receiver? Get a partnership with Rode (other audio companies are available!). Hell they could built-in the wireless go receiver and it doesn't matter if the cameras in vlogging mode, or at the end of a pole - kick-ass audio every time!

Please be aware the internal microphone is stereo, 2 channel. The adapter is only mono.

Same one I bought, it's been great so for. £8 and free postage from bang good. Took a month to arrive, but hey what's the rush 👍

Have you tried a lapel/lav mic.. straight into the osmo. rather than having to buy an audio recorder and mic

Can we attach a Usb mic like a Blue Yeti or Akg Lyra with the Dji Osmo Action camera?

so with this adapter I cant use a case for mounting on my BIKE ???? And what about still being Water Proof ?It's not looking likely and so it is not something I could probably use for my purpose----soooo what do you suggest I could use as a external mic to both record my ride and give commentary at the same time even in heavy rain?? That is what I really need to know if you could help answer that question please thanks for the video and your help

Can it record audio and charge at the same time? Because the gorpo mic adapter on my hero 8 does not record audio and while charging

Does the usb socket you used as power also give usb to a laptop so I could use Osmo with line audio and streaming to my laptop?

I ordered a DJI osmo Action 2 weeks ago, i turned it on & intitalised with the dji mimo app & it turned on after initialising & hasn't worked since, I wasn't aware of what a hassle it is to deal with DJI to return a a product I had only owned a day. 2 weeks it has taken to get DJI to agree to take the product back & now ive been told to wait up to 5 weeks for a refund. I do hope nobody else has this problem & I am the only one? #mail why are DJI so poor at dealing with complaints & returns?

Hi Dylan, I wish there was an adapter like this for the GoPro8 that was relatively cheap and also small/compact in size. I'd be interested to know if this adapter could actually work on a GoPro 8. If the shape around the USB-C plug on the adapter wont allow you to connect straight into the USB-C on the GoPro 8, I wonder if you could you get a USB- C male to USB-C female adapter so that you could then easily plug them together?

Harvest?..LOL....You should see the wiring project I'm working on. A Chinese made electric scooter with a burned out Electrical Control Module. The module doesn't fit the original connectors and the Scooter vendor will not help me at all. I tried for weeks to find a replacement with no luck The labeling on the wires are marked with Harvest type slogans that were Lost In Translation. So, I'm lost with depression and despair. The title is very misleading.

So you can only return the product within 7 days of Harvest? Their products must be crop.

I love reading the instructions that come with products made in China. They're often hilarious but when you consider how many Chinese people live in the UK and have a very good grasp of English, why don't these manufacturers reach out to them and pay them to proofread the manual?
