It must be Wednesday hashtag mail. Shocker of a question this week.
DJI told a customer they could be waiting #5weeks for a #refund on a day old #DJIOsmoAction ! What the fridge is going on? Have you had any warranty or customer support Issues? If so drop them in the comments below and we'll see what DJI come back with.

Same for DJI MAVIC Air 2 purchases i had canceled after I got behind that they will ship an outdated product to me without airsense system, a missing piece of hard- and software. Then they also announced to ship the american version that has already the airsense on board. The best way is to pay with paypal and then open a case and send the number of the return receipt so they can see that DJI got the drone back. DJI seems to be short on money due to crisis ... Here you can even open that drone box and use it before deciding to give it back within 14 days after arrival.

They are horrible when it comes to returns. I once ordered a Ronin S that was never deliverd to me and was rerouted back to China. I had to contact customer service a dozen times and spoke with agents who had no idea what they do in their miserable lives, Luckily, I paid with PayPal so, within 1 week, a dispute was completed in my favor because they never replied to PayPal. That was fun.

I would never buy direct from DJI as their Customer Care is nothing short of abysmal. I buy all my DJI kit from a local dealer who gives me excellent service.

I have always bought my DJI drones and bits from a catalogue company or Argos get a refund same day . Never ordered through DJI myself sounds grief !

I might be the exception and not the rule but dji got me a warranty replacement unit in 2018 back on my doorstep within 1 week and a refund last year for return within a 3 business days also. I do live in the USA, not Europe but you would think it should be a similar experience in a major market.

I too have had great service when ever I have had an issue, which is rare.. which is why I have been so surprised over this issue....🤷‍♂️

you could also gain further support/help if you contact your bank/CC company & explain the issue, they can & will contact DJI or any other company directly to chase the refund, so long as you've done everything & obtained proof postage, communications etc then the bank will fully support you.. if DJI or any other company try to get funny the bank will reverse the charge bank to your account & DJI will have to argue with themselves from that point onwards so ultimately no-one hast-to waste time with jokers within any company..

In England, we also have the Statute Law of the Sale of Goods and Services Act. We have a 1 year warranty for a product which is 'Fit for Service' .

We do.. alway difficult to prove that it isn't though.. luckily, most retailers roll over before it get s that far..Customer is ALWAYS right..even if they are not.

never buy @ dji. go to your local dealer. i think allover europe if you purchase a faulty item they need to exchange the item until 2 or 4 weeks after purchase. No sending to repair, they have to exchange it. during corona sales broke away and to get money back ain't as easy as before corona. i do think those days with huge sales @dji are history. drone market is saturated, drone rules in europe have changed significantly. i think dji is struggling too, so go to your local store and be on the safe side if things aren't as they should be. fly high, fly far, fly safe

Interesting iSonic. I think I lot of companies are going to re-adjust. Think of all those plush offices that have been empty for the last month or so.. staff working from home. MD's must be thinking "why am I paying for all this over-head?" Business will always find away to get done...for sure the airspace is changing as well.. if legislation comes down the way its looking.. flying will be expensive 😱

Hey cheers for posting.. love the content. Colour processing is a tough one, it takes a lot of time and can be a real ball ache.. Sometimes, unless you have a full grading process its better, to save time, is not to shoot on Dlog or D-Cinelike settings..(trust me.. it makes you no-less of a drone flying cinematic god..😉)

#DJI-warranty: I just got my DJI Mini 2 more play + 2-years warranty, only 2 days ago. Out of box, one battery is totally dead & in two days, I am shocked with their support. I am going to ask for a refund & know that I am going to have issues. I am going to repuchase thru Amazon. At least, I cn deal with a US ocmpany.

Hi Dylan, always love the #mail videos so keep them coming. Some key information missing though in my opinion. DJI along with most companies won't start the refund process until they receive the item back. For example if item was posted on a Monday but was not received until Friday, you've lost a week there. They will also do their due diligence in making sure that the fault reported is found with the product to make sure it is their fault and that a refund can be processed. Therefore you may lose another week or so there. Then once they have confirmed that then they will start the refund process of up to 14 days. That's where your 5 weeks comes from. It's not just DJI, a lot of companies work like that.

With you Mark.. but then they should make clear 5 weeks ... shoe on the other foot.. we don't pay them 5 weeks AFTER we have the product do we? With credit cards they could always use the chargeback the other way if they can prove fraud/ user damage etc.. Moving forward, has to be the way to.. too many companies operate with insufficient cash flow..

Sometime you have to use them if its a new product. I understand they need to protect themselves from the "just crashed my new drone, its your fault etc" but 5 weeks!!! you right.. you are gong to think twice.. and always use the credit card.

Hmmm originally ordered the new Mavic Air 2 fly more combo direct from DJI using their app, last Tuesday on release and by Thursday it was still showing as “not yet dispatched” so cancelled order as Drones Direct sent an email to me stating that I could have one delivered by the 7th of May. Got a confirmation email from DJI That I would have my refund within 1-3 working days ...... still no refund 🤬🤬 And just to rub salt in the wound, today got an email from Drones Direct saying DJI have let them down and my delivery won’t be until the 15th of May. 🤬🤬🤬

Yeah.. be really careful with buy DJI product on launch.. there will be lost promising they can deliver...they can"t DJI treat us all the same wether buying 1 drone or a 1000.. you pay up front , and wait your turn. But I would say you'd be better sticking to DJI.com to order....

Hey Dylan how’s it going. When I got my p4p from amazon it developed a problem where the camera was just of centre, which was very annoying when trying to fly straight forward. Contacted DJI and was asked to return drone to there base in the Netherlands which I did at my own cost, drone was repaired after they found a faulty camera board and returned to me all within 2 weeks. I was very happy with the service.

Good to know Tony. They are great 70% of the time.. its just when things slip out of the fixed system/process.. I have to ask though..why did you have to pay for sending it back? They should have issued you with a return label 🤔

My siblings surprised me with new Mavic mini after mine crashed in the water and got lost, it’s been 7 days so far. Yesterday I just found out DJI was sending a replacement to my surprise. Now I want to return the unopened Mini I got. So it’s gonna take 5 weeks for refund? Yikes. Maybe because you’re from UK? I think they have a location in California, maybe it’ll take less time to refund here? If anyone know let us know thanks

Cheers Tom, ok here. Not flying as observing the "Stay at Home" message and as much as it pains me.. flying/filming for fun isn't essential at the moment. Its a mad world, especially as business etc are screaming for relaxation of lockdowns.. already looks like they start putting a value on peoples lives again.. Keep strong my friend..there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Buy in the future through Amazon. No worries there they deal with their customers with respect and keep that customer first rule,and don’t argue. And you get up to 90 days to return. Problem solved.

There you go! If you can hold off getting it at launch, they do have a good business model... not sure how the suppliers fair, but then again..does the customer care? I use them 90% of the time..alway price check though..😉

I would never buy DJI direct or any company, better off buying it from curry's, argos etc. They have a better after sell service and they're local 👍

I can see why, but sometimes you have to. They are improving..slowly, but I guess the downside of self-supply chain your product where you make more money by not paying a retailer margin.. but when you then are stretched too far when you have customer issues.. it can start to fall apart.. that retailer merging doesn't look so high.

My customer service experience has put me off buying another DJI product ever again. Sad really, I love my M2P but if it ever goes wrong, I’ll be looking elsewhere for a replacement.

I don’t really trust buying online especially when it’s “another country” always buy my goods from a retailer then if there is a problem you can just exchange it and get a replacement or refund from them and let them sort out the rest .

Yep, see, touch it, feel it etc.. but high street is a tough market, high overheads..and sad to say more risk to the Consumer these days with the chances of the shop being there in 6 months becoming the norm.. awful, but apart from food I haven't used a shop in over a year..😳

Ikopta yea I can see your point. I got my phantom 4 from ‘apple’ in Birmingham but my brother works there so I get a discount. I don’t think they’re likely to close in the “foreseeable” future. I did have a problem with a DJI smart battery that I got from the drone show. From a camera company. That wouldn’t charge. rang them (rather than DJI) luckily they had a branch near to my location and said they had a replacement in stock. picked it up the next day day worked fine. no “faffing” with dji😌

Well that was two videos in one and you solved nothing, obviously the customer with the DJI problem has already emailed them and as you point out further emails will make no difference. This was a total waste of air space!

DJI make some awesome products, until they go wrong . Without question DJI are the worst customer focused company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Take a look of the own forums, the copy paste BOT response to all problems.

Very focused on the target.. sell product, fund development sell more product, till the world relies on your product then make some serious money.. usual Chinese business model.. the idea that customer would complain, not be happy or want a refund is not in the psyche. If a product doesn't work.. don't try & fix it, sell them a new product.
