If you've never heard of surprise popping iPhone cakes... well I've got a video for you. Being fascinated with these surprise present cakes I decided to order a fully custom one from 1-star vs. a 5-star rated bakery and gift myself an iPhone (well... sort of). I hate how everytime you give a cake designer a specific detailed design they will do their own thing what they think looks best without your knowledge. All I want is when we talk about it you tell me your ideas on what you believe will be better or when you go to the process at least let me know instead of me being in shock when I go pick up a cake for an event that looks like nothing I've asked for.

I think both cakes looked really good. The one with the red ribbon was closer to what you asked for and personally I liked the dots better. Looked like a really present that way. They both looked fluffy and really good. I would like to get one of these cakes made.

I like the dots better because it keeps the person completely surprised and not suspicious of what the question marks mean. I think that’s why they might have taken some creative liberties with the design, but who knows

I love the 5 star cake! They took a bit of creative license and made it Beautiful!! The one star cake was pretty but it was so far outside your request I would have been upset. The pop up gift stand is awesome! Where did you get it? Love you Raphael!!

I feel like they tired to be more creative. But you clearly showed them in your picture what you wanted. It wasn’t a suggestion. But the 5 stars still did a great job. They should have still added the question marks.

I usually watch your videos simply for the entertainment value, but I actually love the idea of that pop-up! I didn't see it, so I apologize if I missed it, but could you put info or a link of where you got the mechanism? PS you should ask the company if you could get some sort of kickback when someone clicks on the link, or see if you can give a code to trace it to you. The mom in me wants you to keep succeeding!

I'll absolutely give the 5⭐ the looks! Have to admit, the polka-dots, I think it might be better than the question marks, & was happy they changed up the bow. But I'm glad the 1⭐ held up with Flavor! They definitely need to listen to the client on looks though!

This is not relevant at all for this video, but I just wanted to let you know that you can make your life easier. When drawing your sketches and wanting to fill a shape with solid color, you can draw an outline inside the shape and drag the little color circle (top right corner) into the outline and it automatically fills in your shape with the colour. XO

The 5 star cake was pretty but the fondent on the side was coming undone also (7:35). The 1 star cake may have been good but looked like a hot mess. Just a happy note: the icing artist mentioned you. She saw one of your 1-v-5 star episodes and she liked it and decided to do some.
