It’s cool to see three different perspectives on the hands with Mariano. Watched his . Watched yours and watched hustlers . It’s like those movies where you see the same thing thru multiple different perspectives.
@@YallaMiami a 5 bet would’ve been good, even preferable. But since Mariano is capable of bluffing big, calling is totally fine. All in in 5 bet would be a massive overplay
@@YallaMiami Not necessarily. It's ok to trap sometimes. An all-in or massive 5 bet pre-flop pretty much announces your hand and he would have achieved no more value than that $5k Mariano raised it to. I think he played it fine. It's just unfortunate the ace came out on the flop (frikkin' ace magnets). Long term though his play was fine.
Lex - met briefly at Harrah’s Sunday night, mentioned I enjoy the vlogs… but I should of also told you that watching your vlogs and your peers over the last few years has really improved my game, so thanks for that!
Been watching/subbed to your channel for about 3 years now, and when I saw on Mariano's vlog that you were in this lineup for this game, I was amped. I genuinely think you and he are, from a viewer and avid poker vlog fan's perspective, likely the two most approachable and down-to-earth YT vloggers in the space; and I feel I can say that with confidence even though I don't know either of you personally. Side note: my all-star vlogger lineup for a mid-stakes livestream session would be - you, Mariano, Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, PokerfaceAsh, Doug McCusker, JWin, Ben Deach, and Brantzen.
Hey Lex, long time Vlog watcher, poker player and commercial pilot here. Just want you to know that flying is the absolute safest way to travel. I totally get the “sealed inside a metal tube no control” aspect but just rest assured we are extremely skilled and highly trained at what we do and you’re always in good hands! (Pun intended). Also go-arounds are totally normal! They happen for all sorts of reasons. 🤙🤙
Congrats on your session, Lex O! You deserve to ride a high right now after your downswing, and I'm very happy that you share your journey with us. 1) you have to learn sooner than later to ignore your critics. You're not posting to wait for incoming criticism, you're posting to entertain and educate your followers through your eyes. Don't lose focus of that. 2) one of the great things about vlogging your progress in general, and these dream invites specifically, is that YOU get to review your performance and learn from the mistakes you see but might not have felt while you were in the hand. That kind of review of your play is going to sky rocket your ability to learn in the future. Something that I don't get the liberty to benefit from in my own local play. Your fans are your fans bro, and we appreciate you sharing your journey with us. You and Mariano at the same table! That's because of the work you've put in these past few years. Appreciate your success that you've been working all this time to achieve, like we appreciate it. Ignore your critics with toxic attitudes from here on out, and refocus and get right. ❤
@@charlesl21 Well, the logic flows with the pre-flop action. Lex checked to him on both the flop and turn and so given the range Mariano is representing, it's a natural c-bet and then even larger turn bet. Really doesn't take a poker genius to pull that off.
Sorry, but I’m gonna criticize your KK hand. I think the downswing is affecting your brain. You’re playing the standup game. Your opponents are betting wider- in position too. I think there is no shot this isn’t a 5 bet to 21,000 atleast.
@@edwardkain5006 no he most definitely made a mistake. You have to put in context that they are playing with stand-up game. Which means players are going to open up way wider than normal. Standard tournament play or standard cash gameplay I would agree with you, but when the standup game is on. You cannot automatically just put especially a player like Mariano on an ace in that hand.
@@Schultz805club anytime I’ve played the standup game it goes out the window in 4b and 5b pots. When the value of the pot is so much greater than the side game, people act accordingly.
Lex, I have to be honest I was screaming during the KK hand but then caught myself and said this game is a lot easier when you see the opponents cards… Glad to see you finished with the win!!
Interesting that Mariano knows a bit about aviation. Guy knows a lot about a lot of things. Nice session Lex! Hopefully next time I see you at the Wynn you can talk!
As a pilot, your go-around story is hilarious. People are scared of flying because they have no control. Trust me a go around is rare in the Airlines but there’s definitely a reason why he did it. Great all in at the end. Guy sits down for 1 hand gets KK and you stack him. I swear the same shit happens to me. 😂
Just make the right play and don't sweat what others think. I saw that hand that night it happened and was impressed you folded there. (the KK vs Mariano's Q2)
Great video. It’s tough when the players know you’re playing above your comfort level and the are the mark to attack. Played great. Maybe follow up with how it felt.
Hey Lex O just saw your last two videos heard you said bad feedbacks from the chat, I have not read through all the chat, but as a professional poker player for the last 12 years most people here don’t know what they talking about. Facing the $8K Tuen bet on Ace high folding KKs is standarded. We can talk about 5 bet pre. We choose to trap by flating, it’s just a flop we won’t put too much money in. Well played this session. Keep your heads up be proud, hope your downswing ends soon. Take care.
Everyone on here is so quick to criticize your play lol but I don't see any of you doing what he does. Love the vlog keep it up brotha I've been following you since the beginning.
Nice win, especially on the big stage! Can’t stand people being negative about the KK hand. There’s zero point to 5-betting because he’s folding out all his bluffs & you’re only getting action from Aces & maybe Queens. TT & JJ fold there as well. Nicely played!
I'd like to watch a game with LexO, Rampage, Mariano, and a few other vlogers. And then I'd like to see each of their vlogs about the same hands to sit in each of thier brains simultaneously during the rewatch :)
Nevermind the haters Lex. Your fold to a big bet with KK on A high board, in a 4bet pot was 100% right. Thank you for the upload and hope the downswing is finally over.
To realize you are in a downswing means you understand that you are playing bad because of past session. You are afraid of losing and it’s affecting how you play. I love you man and wanna see you grow but at this moment it seems like past sessions are affecting your play.
Lex, watch your hand. I have noted on several occasions as you look at your cards, the player on your left takes obvious peek attempting to see your hands. Good channel. Thanks
So nice to see you come away with a significant winning session, Lex. I don’t have a problem with your folding the Kings. Ace flop and an ugly turn. Plus, that was not an $8k bet from Mariano. That was a damned sure guaranteed $32k bet broken up in two!!!
Really just think the JQ river call is the only clear mistake. Pretty cool how humble and transparent you were talking about it. Even though the Q deuce hand was a large pot, it was a pretty standard nothing burger. Definitely not a mistake. A9 river shove 🤷🏻♂️ Nice session!
@@joyride1598 it’s honest about a mistake and the fact it’s a big game for him. It’s damn tough to play a game that is a lot bigger than your normal game.
@joyride1598 No I would flat in position sometimes but raise out of position. No need to get fancy. How many flats oop does the solver show holding kings in a 4b pot? I'm asking you since I'm the poor player and you're the pro.
@@MikeLeeSr you live in a binary world, sir. there is a whole spectrum between poor and pro player. I am firmly in the middle, let's say a 5 or 6 out of 10. it's fine to flat against an aggressive player to let them blast off with a wide range. as other players have said, the A coming out handcuffed Lex, but that situation will only happen around 30% of the time
Lex. I have been watching you for some time. You are a very good player, that get unlucky sometimes. I feel that you put too much pressure on yourself. You are the only one at the table that is playing other players at the table, playing against yourself, and playing against the trolls in the comments. You need to give yourself a break. Just play the players at the table, forget the rest of the world. Keep of the good work. Keep taking chances at the higher stakes, but don't play scared. Only play what you can lose.
Lex! Miami native here we’ve even met before at hard rock. Listen, love the content but please, stop calling deuces twos 😂 there are no twos in poker!! Keep it up my guy🙏🏼
You are a professional poker player you should have a better plan for when you get pocket KKs facing a 3bet with over 7thou already in the middle. When you already know that an A is gonna come on the flop.
