Don’t say that too loud… these new guys think MJ played against a bunch of plumbers… SMH. It’s actually crazy people forget how nice Richmond was. Walking bucket. Could score at all 3 levels. Not to mention it keeps fans around when its a open gym run nowadays where there is no physicality. Let's not even get started on Clyde right...? Penny Hardaway before the injuries? Kevin Johnson... a walking 20-10 guy for years. Be objective and really think about all of these hall of famers Jordan overshadowed who in any other era would be far more celebrated. Mitch was great but he needs to keep it real. They played 17 games against each other. In their head to head match ups, MJ averaged 28.6 pts & he averaged 20.7 pts, not 30 🤣 which is what he was trying to imply by saying “I would drop 30.” He was an awesome player to watch though, right up there fighting for the number 2 spot with Drexler
@Riles3152
@Riles3152 2 года назад
I think MJ admitted that Mitch was one of his toughest opponents. I looked up some of the box scores of their match ups during the late 80s and early 90s when MJ was in his prime and at his peak, and yes MJ usually had the upper hand individually and in the win/loss column, but Mitch statistically basically held his own against MJ.

@@richieray04 Yes but why do Kobe fans always ignore Gasol? Pau was no slouch. He averaged 18.6/ 10.4/ 3.4 splits on 55.3% shooting in the 2 championship seasons in L.A. His Playoff numbers were nearly identical: 18.9/ 11.0/ 3.0 on 55.8% shooting. In the 2009 and 2010 Finals combined, Gasol averaged 18.6/ 10.6/ 3.1 on 52.7% shooting. In the Game 7 clincher against Boston, Pau had a 10.4 BPM compared to Kobe's 0.3. idk how many more examples I have to give but the disrespect that Pau gets from Kobe fans is ridiculous.
@hainavidotcom
@hainavidotcom 2 года назад
@@richieray04 horrible analogy, Pippen is no Shaq, not even close. Shaq won without Kobe before Kobe won again. Kobe accumulated MJ's coach, teammates, called Mj for tips in the middle of the night, and still can't be as great as MJ. Kobe is the greatest protege of all time and that is all. Pippen avg 10 ppg his first 2 seasons in the league. Shaq never avg that. MJ was dropping 37.1 and 35 ppg during that same time frame. Playing with drug addicts and still getting the playoffs. MJ's rookie season is better than Kobe's entire career statistics in a nutshell. You Kobetards are rabid and delusional.
