Some interesting trivia about the both the Madarame and the Okumura fight - Both fights were overhauled for the Royal version of Persona 5: 1) The Madarame fight did not have the differently coloured clones in the OG version, you just kept destroying the portraits to reveal the real Madarame. 2) The Okumura fight was MASSIVELY buffed for Royal, the addition of mecha-Haru and some extra enemy waves, as well as just making the enemies tougher were all done for P5R because the OG fight was criticised often as probably the easiest boss in the game, it was so easy originally that the timer was often considered a non-issue. 2.1) This extends to the entire dungeon, large parts of the dungeon were re-worked for P5R as in OG P5 it was often called the worst dungeon in the game for how boring it was.

I have a soft spot for Okumara's palace, that was the first palace I ever beat in one time slot and I was actually getting exhausted irl after doing so many hours of consecutive battles. The next morning when the teacher asked some dull trivia question, I've never related more to a character with a double identity when I got that feeling of "no one here has any idea about what kind of work I'm doing"

That Akechi edit in space took me out lmao that was beautiful >:D Your highlights just add something so endearing about this already legendary playthrough, the maze and boss fight was cut and edited so well, I love it! Same with the ending, that was so subtle but really cool ahhh Also hannah please just never speak again, Apollo really does have you under control this isn't normal ^^ Can't wait for the stuff that's coming >:)

Watching you squirm uncomfortably in the Okumura aftermath was hilarious. And yes... that palace is a real PITA to beat. It's MUCH easier in NG+, though, so if you ever decide to give one of those a runthrough, you won't die nearly as often (if at all). :P

Congrats on the Okumura victory. It's no joke. I beat Persona 5 and had no problem with it. But cut to Persona 5 Royal and I was so frustrated. I was changing difficulties. I went back to an earlier save and started grinding levels. It was ridiculous.

It took me an ungodly amount of hours to clear the space shuttle maze, dear god. In the end, it worked out, but like you, I absolutely have no idea what happened lol Okumura was easy in the OG version, even on hard mode. In P5R, I stayed on hard mode, but it took me more than 5 retries until RNG blessed me

Dig the nails. I have played this game twice and I never picked up on Maruki going to the cafe under the pretense of visiting Joker even though he already knew Joker wouldn't be there. LOVE Haru. It's a shame she is introduced so late in the game. BUT, I'm currently playing Strikers, and I think she's even better in that. Hated the maze. Had to resort to using a guide to get through it. Was worth it. And, as an American, there's something incredible about someone with an English accent yelling "get fucked" at a video game that really brightens my day. It's funny seeing you get frustrated at not being able to go back out after visiting a palace. That's why you gotta max out Kawakami as soon as possible. Those back rubs are chef's kiss.

I like Morgana, but him throwing that tantrum just feels infuriating for me. Some people say that it's worst moment of Morgana's character arc and I would agree with them. The saving grace here is that it triggered chain of events leading to Haru joining PT and preventing her being basically sold of as a personal slave. Most of PT members had a valid concern that something is off about agitation over Okumura, but Morgana just had to lash out on them because of his own insecurities and lead them into that trap. Feeling like you're losing the only place you belong to is painful, but Morgana really didn't help the situation with his actions. Lucky for him PT's view on justice and their (platonic) love for him is what caused them to put that much effort in getting him back. Morgana is least mature out of the group and that explains whole situation, but damn this was painful as I genuinly like him most of the time.

i seriously love this playthrough and her reactions, but her double standards for morgana kinda agitate me. like ryuji speaks up about revealing himself as a phantom thief for money, girls, and fame all the time. but the second morgana calls ryuji out on it suddenly morgana's a "hypocrite" for no reason. he isn't doing phantom thievery for money or fame, or even for ann, so i don't know where this idea of hyprocrisy comes from when all he wants is to become human. like, ryuji's allowed to get a huge ego from popularity, but morgana isn't allowed to tell him not to be full of himself? also, notice how when ryuji saw haru and started saying he wanted to out himself as a phantom thief to get with her, it's simply laughed off as a joke. but whenever morgana hits on ann, without even saying he would compromise their identities like ryuji did, she rolls her eyes and scoffs at him. because apparently if ryuji wants to hit on a girl, that's totally fine, but as soon as morgana shows affection towards ann he's the insufferable one simply because he passively likes her. morgana can understandably get flack for a lot of stuff about his character, but it's aggravating seeing him get flack for the same minor thing ryuji is allowed to get away with, or unfairly dubbing him a hypocrite for literally no reason. just had to get that off my chest, cause it really got on my nerves.
