Open-sourced means that the original resources to make/operate the thing are available for unrestricted public use, crowd-sourced just means that the content is provided by the public. RU-vid for instance would be crowd-sourced content (well, ignoring youtube originals or youtube RED or whatever the hell they're calling it now) but is very much not open source. Is this pedantic? Yes, but 1 : very few people actually understand what open source is and people like Rossman are keen to abuse that ignorance for personal gain by FOSS-washing very non-FOSS projects, so it really is something that more people should be getting aware of, and 2 : snark meet snark. If someone pulls an "um actually" then bet your ass I'm gonna get pedantic. No-one likes a smartass, but if you're gonna be unlikable at least be right.
