I Played Venture For The First Time In Overwatch 2 

Anyone else already watch the Flats 2 video on Venture, and for half a second think they were rewatching that video? Or am I just stoned? Lol

Venture is a breath of fresh air after mauga jeez I haven't had this fun with a character in a while

OW2 launch: so we removed a bunch of CC so the game feels better to play. *Venture pops out of the ground*: Hello there!

i havent touched dps in so long but venture is so much fun i don't even care if theyre nerfed, im gonna main them. i just love both the character and the abilities. genuinely the first time an overwatch character has appealed to me so much.

Oh btw the dash is insane, i had to touch on Samoa as queen so i tried to ult through the enemy team to both get there and get me some sustain but i got blocked by the dash cause its got insane knockback and then got bursted instantly.

I LOVE VENTURE!!!! I LOVE THIS ARCHEOLOGIST DORK!!!! SHOOTING DRILLS AT PEOPLE AND MAKING HISTORIC/ARCHEOLOGY PUNS WHENEVER THEY KILL SOMEONE!!!! "But like what's in your pants?" A DRILL!!!!!

I honestly thought there drill would be spinning as the main fire and the shot would be the alt fire

the best thing about venture are the combos for kills the combos do insane damage, especially if you start with a sneaky burrow flank (burrow reloads your gun btw) the challenging part is the cooldown rotation plus you cant be healed in mole form, but it does 55 - 110 dmg so you can use it as a finisher like the melee, or a starter for ez 200+ damage also if you dash off a ledge in burrow you go super far

I love high mobility characters so much and Venture absolutely scratches that itch

I think Venture may genuinely be the most well balanced and fun character we've seen come out of OW2 since LAUNCH, at least right out of the gate like this. They have an identity and feel like someone who would've fit right in during early OW1 days. Their kit is simple and fair with a healthy amount of counterplay to it, and nothing feels particularly oppressive. Their ult, while extremely strong, is easily nullified by line of sight, aerial mobility, and shields. (Not to mention a few other actually oppressive CC cooldowns) Say what you will but I think Team 4 did a good job with this hero's mechanics.

It's like Doomfist but you don't need to hit anything to gain shields. Also mobility and slight CC with punches. *Doomdrill*

Venture is lots of fun, but I'd say before release that the only changes would be lower the damage, even by like 10, but increase the range.

The drill charge is legendary

Did you know if your underground and dash if you hold the dash button you go further

Can the ultimate line be 'Can you dig it?!'

Venture is so fun. Loving the combos so far, they definitely play faster than i thought they would.

I would love some more melee characters, venture seems like a lovely in-between

I feel like Venture might be a good replacement for Mei when it comes to brawl/rush comps, but if they can slap Junker Queen out of the fight easily, then Brawl vs Brawl comps wont be a thing sadly

As someone who remembers hearing the wave of slurs when Seer was released in Apex Legends, I can't wait to see all of this toxicity from the sidelines. Venture looks like fun, but they're ultimately gonna end up being a broken mess in a patch with the Team 4 track record

When venture killed another venture they said "Done and dusted" which is an echo voice line as well i think, was weird hearing it come from someone other than the copy ninja echo lol

Feels pretty balanced frankly, powerful but simple screw ups can screw you over, I think theyd be fine releasing like this, maybe turn down the ult and melee damage a little, other than that, pretty solid character which is nice after the... recent 3 heroes

It's kinda funny that I picked up echo not too long ago and became good with her. Cause during this play test, if I wasn't quick enough to grab Venture, I could just lock my main and still have the chance to play Venture in limited fashion with Duplicate.

The best way for me to describe Venture’s damage is Sigma spheres with a touch of Zarya splash effect and the feel of Pharah’s rockets and projectile speed. Overall Venture is a very good addition to the roster, they feel pretty good and the output seems to be consistent.

venture is probably the only dps hero i would actively learn how to play, they seem so fun

I think they just need to use “Venture” in callouts. The constant “they” can be a bit confusing.

I like Venture for how simple they are. I understand the feeling of needing to one up your previous creations. But sometimes it’s nice to just make a character that doesn’t have some super complicated mechanics or some really specific techs needed to play them. Venture is relatively straightforward hero with mechanics that are easy to figure out and feels good to play.

I really played her for 3 days and never knew I could drill while underground

So this hero has movement, vertical movement, invulnerability, burst damage, consistent damage and a crazy ult. I think the thing that made the original characters fun was that you had to sacrifice certain things to get other things, no character had it all. Whereas the modern heroes can do near enough everything and it makes the game feel very one dimensional and monotonous. Just take tank for instance, you had rein: protects team, good up close damage, minimal movement and essentially zero ranged damage. Winston: less up close damage, zero ranged damage great movement and protects team. Hog: one shot ability and self heal but he has no team protection, no movement and is an ult battery. Most of the hero roster had push and pull, positives and negatives, and they were big positives and negatives, whereas now the positives and negatives between two characters are minimal, everyone can do everything... fuck kiriko btw, the character does everything it's stupid

They're def getting adjusted downwards for release

Drill Dash followed by Clobber/Melee is a good combo to finish someone off.

My tip for Venture is play like you're Junkrat with Doomfist powers, works very well

I believe her shift ability should be a bit reworked, as she’s got basically two ways of escaping from team fights. Seems a bit unbalanced ngl
