Just a fyi ghost aiming is a thing still.. which literally just looks like lucky shots. was huge in cod.

If they don't remedy this within the next week or two everyone will stop playing because it isn't worth the time to waste multiple matches a session preventing any possibility of getting on a winning streak and climbing. I wonder if these changes to the MMR have actually caused this because now it's "harder" to climb.

You're right, he's wrong. Hip firing on Ana is less accurate and her hip fire is projectile, so it takes time to travel which could mean life or death for a dps in a duel. Scoped in is hitscan.

Non scoped is faster firing I think? In an ideal world, you wouldn't have to scope but realistically especially when you are playing far away (as you should) it being hitscan is quite relevant when you are hitting people moving between things that obscure your vision, you physically can't no scope and there isn't danger in doing so

Nah they wouldn't be able to play on NA servers if they bought a KR account. The chances of them happening to buy a NA account with Korean name is astronomically low. The name literally means something to the effect of "I'll handle it"/"I got it", they definitely have a huge ego and chose that name.

In all fairness TF2's got its own issues rn. I heard the bot problem over there *actually* involved the FBI.

COD has a hacker infestation. They literally were held hostage by some hackers who were stealing from players and that is the biggest game in the world. It’s clearly something technology in general isn’t capable of fully preventing yet no matter how rich they are. Online gaming is still relatively new. Humanity is a work in progress have some patience.

Same shit happened in Apex Legends and the reason i left. Also stopped watching apex pro play, after a hacker got access to the apex server on a LAN and gave cheats to pro players. Its crazy

The valve servers on Tf2 have the bot issue but it’s not as bad cause there’s community servers that have bot preventing measures in place so I usually play map rotating causal servers, I don’t think overwatch has that level of community servers up so the cheating issue is gonna hit hard

There's only so much you can do to ban people without breaching deeper into users computers. This situation was a contentious issue with games like Valorant. Riot uses kernel level anti-cheat detection which is absurdly invasive by monitoring all of your PCs activity even when the game isn't running. Yeah, you'd be able to identify malware directly, but it comes at a really high cost. Also, to solidify bans more, you'd have to grant them accsess to your hardware information which would allow them to hardware ban users spoofing their IP. Them "bragging" about banning what they can without intruding on your personal privacy should be considered a win if you care at all about not having literally all of your data mined by a company. Developers are playing a game where they are always behind. They have to play catch-up to cheat softwares. Your expectations, while based in valid concern, are probably a bit too high. Just food for thought.

@@concinnus No matter the cost, there will always be cheaters. 30 dollar price tag (without insane regional discounts) was just a way higher entry bar. In a perfect world they would try and find the perfect middle ground but that doesn't boost sales as much as going f2p

@@epileptix8954 HWID bans are great, I think all F2P games should have them to some extent. Helps stop the majority of cheaters that can't figure out spoofing.

If you see an Ashe in Silver/Gold get that many headshots while running around spamming hip fire with hilariously wide damage spread, but can't even aim at and hit their own dynamites, you should know they're cheating 100%. At that point, you report them and hope that Blizzard ends the game. At higher ranks you can ask for mass reports and people may comply, and agree to a draw. At low ranks, this generally isn't possible as low elo players want the free win so they can "rank up out of elo hell." Lol. I wouldn't even call them out in match chat, as it will only trigger their teammates to pocket and protect them while he hands them the free win. It has always been like that in this game... Since at least 2017 when I started playing, this has been the case.

Ban waves make it harder for the cheat devs to identify which cheat got the player banned.

@@_nahwhat It makes it harder for the cheat devs, but lets say you ban them in waves per month. That's a month of irritation from the players causing people to quit. If you know the cheater that killed you got banned after the game you feel good about it.

@@thundercake9407 but you understand that the game devs are between a rock and a hard place at that point, right? If they make a system that bans cheaters immediately, the cheat devs will figure out how they're being detected and come up with a quick fix. If they ban them in waves so the cheat devs have a harder time figuring out why their cheats are being detected, players suffer because they have to deal with cheaters for weeks or months on end. It's lose-lose for the game devs, and this is happening in most competitive games. Cheat devs are cockroaches, and it sucks that there's a demand from a group of losers that will pay them any amount of money to be artificially better at a video game. I don't even know how they can deal with them besides suing them IRL, and that's hard because I imagine most of the cheat devs are anonymous and have no traceable Internet identity. It sucks that we, the consumers, have to deal with it, but we should be mindful that there's a very dark underbelly to the integrity of competitive gaming.

@@joecon601 Yeah I'm just saying that the devs should just ban immediately even if they give the cheat devs an idea how to bypass because then it gives the consumer (the gamers) a better experience. If you ban in waves it's just going to make the player base hate the game due to the amount of cheaters piling up and leave.
