I just purchased a large collection of 500 Funko Pops worth $14,000. The collection came from a guy who had collected heavily in 2014-2015 and includes tons of vaulted Funko Pops, Limited Edition Pop Vinyl Figures, SDCC and NYCC exclusive Funko Pop Vinyl figures and so much more. This was an awesome collection and a great opportunity to pick up some rare Funko pops for a great price.

It is pretty sweet when you collect things before they caught on. I have so many pops in my collection I bought cheap that are pretty expensive now so I am happy to have them.

@@popfuntoplay if you sell the rest of the pops for double the price that each pop is worth and probally negotiate with people you can probally make some money back and probally close to what you paid for all your pops you bought but I'll recommend charging 3 times the normal price of each pop and you will totally make all of your money back and probally more than all your money

He gives you his business model. He pays half the value of a collection. He sells his duplicates and generally makes his money back or a small profit. Sounds like a good plan and a good way to keep at least 10% of what you like and still make a little doing it.

I really like the setup you have to show off the pops so we can see you explaining but you can easily show the pop without struggling to keep it still. It's really nice 🎉

Yeah I like trying to set it up so I can show the pop still talk and show what I am doing and not so much worrying about the camera staying in focus etc. I am not 100% happy with the setup but I am always working to improve it.

He bought almost all of them for retail price, back in the day they were not as hard to pick up in stores for $10. There were a few that were hard for him to find. He also said the chases were lucky finds that he picked up for retail.

I loved box number one so much. The Carnage and Ghost Rider drop two of my top 5 comic book characters in the same box. That Ghost Rider isn’t cheap either.

My question is do the pops that are placed on the bottom rows of your collection on the wall behind you get squashed under the weight of all the pops on top?.......other than that nice collection..I only collect stranger things pop as that all my wallet will let me spend .....and by wallet I mean wife....lol..cheers

Right now I have everything in pop protectors to prevent them from being squished. I had some without protectors for a while and I think I only noticed one box seemed to be squished a little. I would not recommend stacking them without protectors on for the long run.

The markets may weaken or change one day but I do not think they will collapse like beanie babies. They just did not make that many pops compared to Beanie Babies. Funko Pops from 2011-2014 or so they made 2000-5000 of most of them. Even the most mass produced pops like Pikachu they made 40-60K which for something as popular as Pokemon is pretty limited. Beanie Babies they made 100,000s of each style, very much mass produced.

well I do film my hauls so I can go back and watch them to refresh when I got each item etc. I also have a decent memory when it comes to collectibles. I am adding everything to Stashpedia now but its slow going. And even if I have an item already I compare each one to what I own already looking for variants, box changes etc And box upgrades if the ones I have are damaged etc.

Ed I have a good friend who also spends a fortune on pops. He also is worried the bubble will burst. Like with beanie babies and baseball cards or pogs all these things do come down in popularity. He recently has said he is gonna cash out becuase he said he has already noticed a small decline and your starting to see more and more stores selling these at discount becuase the popularity is going down. I wonder how much longer before it crashes.

To me it seems that because of tech so much information and ideas are moving around us so fast it seems like financial folly to attempt to chase trends. But I'm not judging. Just my opinion.

Really awesome to see how genuinely excited you are for all of these. Im a collector (Collect all different kind of things) and I dont have the money right now but a huge funko pop collection is a nice dream for my wife and I (I also got her into collecting things). Thank you. I think he was really happy to sell all the pops in one go so he did not have to do all the work which he did not have time to do and get a fair price for it all. And I was super happy to get a sweet collection for a good price with which I can sell off the portion I do not need to break even. And then I can make a series of Epic haul videos that every one can enjoy so its a win win win situation.

I am not sure anyone actually spent money like that for the Princess Diana Beanie. Any of the limited Beanie Babies that they made less then 1000 of do sell for $1000+ still. Beanie Babies they made 10-100 times more of each design so they were never rare or limited.

I knew there was so many different Funko Pops and that there was collectible but not as much !!!! That's crazy !!! heheh but crazy good! I cannot imagine myself having more than 10 ! I think that I would not keep them in their boxes. I would put them on media shelves.

They definitely look the nicest displayed out of the box. I probably have 20-30 that I purchased OOB that I have on display. But yeah there are a ton out there.

The OOB ones are ones I bought cheap since they were already out of the box but of characters I enjoy like Edward Scissorhands. You can get OOB pops for a lot cheaper then in the box.
