That actually wouldn't be a bad frame rate in the least. The movie was 24fps, so you would only be losing 4 frames, a lot of scenes in terms of motion would have little actual quality lost. Nah fam, we're watching it at a silky smooth 6fps as our lord and savior Christopher Nolan intended.

@@doctordothraki4378 At first I was like, "That's impossible! Even my m1 Mac chugs like 20w for AV1! Then I realized that was at 8K. With the screen on. At 280p, downscaling to 140p, you could probably fit the whole thing in under a watt with macroblock-free playback. XD

Converting videos to a GBA viewable format with Meteo is something I've enjoyed for years. I've been slowly (yes, very slowly) converting a certain series to be entirely watchable on a GBA with an EverDrive or EZ Flash Omega.

I remember using Meteo back in the day (almost 20 years ago). Back then, I only had an XROM flash cartridge that was a pain to upload ROMs to (a special connector that used your computer's LPT port was the only way to flash the XROM). Plus, it only had 64MB of flash memory--and so the video ROMs that I made were of really low quality. Thankfully with modern devices like Everdrive, space is no longer an issue. So I can make video files that take up the 32MB file size limit. I find that the "sweet spot" as far as length goes is about 11 minutes in a 32MB ROM. I just downloaded Wulff Den's "making of" Tenet GBA video ROM file - I'm going to watch this again on my GBA. I also started to use Meteo again and I'm converting classic 1960s Spider-Man episodes (that I legally own on DVD) into GBA ROMs--many of them are about 10 minutes each.

The sound quality was poor at the cinema when I watched it last year too. In some places it was as though dialogue was incidental background sounds, not good when it felt like it was essential plot points.

You’re wrong man! The absolute worst way of watching Tenet is having payed actual money to see it in theaters! I’m tired of the high brow/snob mentality that you have to experience a movie in theaters or have to watch it twice to understand it. It’s total BS IMO. Good movie overall, not as amazing as the director makes it out to be.

lol i cant believe youve been working on this for a while and figured it out, ive been looking thru all kinds of software to force shows and movies to work on gba forever after finding an old forum where people would fit full movies on gba, and upload the roms online. of course since it was so old i couldnt find anything there. this stuff is super difficult, thanks for sharing it tho, now i can finally watch a movie on my gba micro lol
