There were people back at your 5K update while quitting your day job that said you were crazy..... there is bound to be people in this 300K update saying the same thing. These people only see numbers, but what they don't realize is the moment you found the courage to chase your dream, to live a life you find worth living, you had already won. Congrats dude, it's been an inspiration to watch and be a part of!!
I've already said this on your Patreon - go sign up to Brian's patreon, it's a great product - but I am sincerely so humbled to have a mention in this. The reason being is that I regularly watch these videos for motivation and they were a huge influence in me going for it (yes I said it) on my own. Brian, thanks to you for being the Mayor of RU-vid Mountain Biking.
Found you through Seth's Bikes Hacks a while ago and just been binge-watching the channel. It sounds cliche but watching these videos back in May inspired me to buy a really nice bike and get out there and ride! I'm so glad I did, exploring Washington state has been awesome! Now I've seen your store I've got my eyes on those gloves for when mine break which will probably be soon! Keep up the amazing work Brian!
Super stoked that you jumped into the fun filled YT world and took us along to share in your fun and many stories!! Thanks for the many hours spent editing :)
Brian, your channel BKXC is hands down, the best Content, Photography & Realism. I can.t wait to get home from my ride and get on you tube to watch your video's. It is because of you, me being nearly 69 years old and I'm back in the saddle. Thank you my friend!!! Nova Scotia, Canada
Hard work pays off! You put more time behind the lens and on a seat at the BC Bike race than most people ride in a year. How many hours of downloading footage and editing logged? Unreal. Great stuff.
You deserve every subscriber Brian, your content is rad, sick, stoked n all that bro 😄👍. Yes, your videos are great for the indoor trainers. Keep up the great work dude 👍
Keep striving, keep pushing, keep looking for the best, Brian. I personally love the recent bucket list rides you've had and recent races/competitions you've added to your ride regimen. You're doing a great job, and with your travel next year in the van, we'll all look forward to that as well! Keep in shape, stay well, and thanks for allowing us to come along for the ride.
You and your channel are the reason I am mountain biking today. I almost gave up, a victim of fear...especially downhills...and I am not the typical person you will see on the trail, but you taught me to face my fears with a laugh and keep a positive attitude. You taught me to embrace pain, and find positivity in it. You showed me courage-to get back up and keep going. Hope you come to Ohio and enjoy our trails some day. 😊 Thanks for the inspiration and ride safe.
Just ordered some merchandise! Thanks for staying true to your channel and keeping the public riding videos coming on a regular basis. It keeps us all tuned in and coming back for more. 🤙🏽
Can’t believe it’s already 3 years! It’s been a great ride watching your channel and your riding grow! I watch your videos with my 6 and 10 year old sons! We are big fans and look forward to every video! Also admire the content you continue to put out! You show more actual riding than anyone else! Incredible! Thanks And congratulations!
Massive congratulations on hitting 300,000 subs Brian, I'm so stoked for you. Who'd have thought that so many people would love watching a guy ride his bike. You're building a great community, keep up the great work.
Good for you Brian, hitting over 300,000 subscribers! Your hard work and dedication is paying off! Looking forward to what’s next and the adventures in your van showing us the hidden gems around The USA and hopefully some of Canada too!!!!
I think you hit the nail on the head when your on about interacting with folk through comments and social media. Far too many folk dont take the time so eventually folk loose interest. But for yourself it's amazing to see a like/heart or even a comment back on a message some has put it. It's honestly fantastic and such a unique thing to have. And as always, amazing videos and cant wait for the next one 🤙
Congrats on the 300k Always enjoy your MTB Life and taking us around the country and the world I don't get out as much as I would like so watching your videos allows me to enjoy it through your lens 👍🏻🚵🏻
Congratulations on 3 years and 300K subscribers. I enjoy your videos as you are so positive and respectful in the way you treat people. The commentary is also really entertaining and the scenery and trails are out of this world. My favourite videos are the ones that have a story, like the BK bike race or getting the van with your mum or redemption rides with Alex. All the best and here’s to the 10 year goal and next 100k of subs
I love your videos! Thanks to you I got back into mountain biking again after many years (About 2 decades) not being on a bike! You actually inspired me to open my own channel so that I can show people in my area about the awesome trails which we have. Thank you so much for inspiring me! Keep up the good work!
Brian, you deserve more... not only it’s always fun to watch your videos but also inspired many people to live active life. Thanks again for all your work.
Congratulations Brian! I am catching up on your videos now. Really good to see you grow this channel without losing your core principles or compromising in ways you are not happy about. I bet at times it must have been tough doing that but you endured. You not only inspire me to pick my lazy ass up and go on rides as regularly as I can but also a great inspiration for life in general. You are teaching me life lessons, most importantly to work hard and try to keep progressing every day. Thank you Kennedy. This was much more than just a 'channel update' video.
Great Job Brian! I've been watching your videos for a about 2 years now, and still looking forward to the next ride. I myself been MTB riding for just over 15 years now and still get inspired by your rides. Keep up the good work. Greetz from Belgium.
Your videos always make me want to go out and ride. Was on a 2 year hiatus after my 2014 trek bruiser 1 got messed up. During that time I lived vicariously through your vids and it kept that spark going inside. Now I can say I am the proud owner of a 2020 stumpy and back on the trails at 30 yrs old. Got a lot of work to do but im looking forward to it...and more of your videos!
My favorite part of your videos man is how positive you are. It puts a smile on my face because I can see the smile in your voice as you ride, and that makes me happy! Keep up the good work and the happy positivity!!! 😁
So stoked for you Brian! What I find interesting about the RU-vid creator world is that everyone kind of has their own way of doing things. You, Paul, Eric, Alex, Phil, Seth all have different flavors of the same kind of thing. I have spoken with most of you MTB RU-vid all stars and not only do you have a different flavor, but a different recipe for success. It's so cool, there isn't just one right way to get to the top. It's inspiring and I appreciate the amount of work you put into your content, Brian!
You're a real inspiration Brian! I often think of you while I'm out riding with my local MTB club and how you treat and talk to new people you meet, etc. You show so much respect and courtesy, something not everyone I find does unfortunately. Keep up the tremendous work you're doing for us viewers!! I'm sure we all really appreciate what you do. :-)
I appreciate the comment on my feedback. As a novice of mountain biking (double track) it is great to view what my younger friends do (i am 75) and they encourage me to do the greens and do single/double track. Thanks for the videos.
Congrats man. And I can't wait to see another person with a van. Going farther, easier and being able to get more done. Happy to see all of my fav riders with channels growing. Cheers.
It’s funny because initially I wasnt as fond of this channel as other ones. Initially there was “too much talking” ( what I told my buddy who got me into riding and showed me these videos ). As time went by, it def became my favorite videos to look for. What I once thought was too much talking is now what engages me. You bring us along on the ride, you tell us whats going on in your life, and I absolutely love it. Congrats on the success of this. The love shows, and I for one absolutely dig it.
Your positive attitude has been great and your willing to put yourself out there with honest (as you did in this vid.) feelings. Don't worry, that special grandchild maker will come along when the time is right. Hope to see you and the van up my way next year. Cheers
Hey @BKXC i have to agree with you that your sponsored content has not been a sell out! Your trips that are sponsored by tourism boards, like the Appalachian trip, thats still great content and if its sponsored and makes it easier for you to do while showing a new area to prospective riders, giv'er hell man. Great videos! Keep it up!
So inspired Brian. A while ago i told you that you inspired me to ride again..wanted to go ride in wales first year and perhaps France the next year..well i sold my old 26" Santa Cruz that was sat in my shed for almost a decade and bought a Specialized 29er and took the Mrs to Bike park wales for the day ...its now my dream to go back there next year! You inspired me to ride. For this i thank you. /hug
Good on you bud. A real success story and I hope it continues for you. If I ever get close to a couple of tens ££.. I will treat myself to a little merch! 🚴👍
I wanna thank you Brian for your videos and your positive out look on life. You (and my wife lol) motivated me to do my first mtb race at the Albuquerque dirt fest 12 hour race!! Was rough but super fun. Thank you!!
Hey Brian, congrats on 300k subscribers, not at all surprised, your vids are always fun, interesting, and something to look forward to. Watched it grow from just POV to a sort of mountain bike themed travel show, and it's all the better for that. Even if we can't get to the places you go to, you always make it feel like we're along for the ride. Long may it continue.
I've been a subscriber for a long time and you really do answer us in the comments. It's really amazing. I've seen and travelled to so many new places thanks to you!
Brian, I absolut adore your channel as your riding and commenting is authentic, it is real and it is very very entertaining. You show that you are having fun, and this altogether is a real motivation for everyone, not only MTBers, but for all disciplines. Your decisions proves to be the right one in the right moment. I am curious how this journey of yours will continue. Be sure, that I'll be following you. And looking for new trails. See you there!
Dude you Single track sampler and bcpov (and others) get me off the couch all the time. Keep on keeping on dude!! And happy anniversary ! 👍 You've Also made me realize I need to go to the Czech Republic lol
I have absolutely loved watching you for the last 3 years you’re positivity is amazing and enjoying your travels around the world has been truly inspiring, here’s to many more years of great content 👍🏻
Hi Brian, I’ve have been a mountain biker for a year and you have been a inspiration from day one. Just wanna say thank you and keep it up. You are a really amazing ambassador for mountain bikers all over the world. See you on the trails.
It's been a great ride really. I was one of the first 1000 subscribers to your channel and I'm pretty sure I've watched all your videos here. You're a pioneer and have really helped to shape mtb vids here on RU-vid. Good job, Brian. Cheers and here's to the next 300.000.
Been here before you quit your job. I was looking for videos on giant found your video you was riding the giant trance been here ever seen. And now your 300k congrats dude your the hardest working RU-vidr I know. So you deserve it. Thumbs up.
I follow a few different channels, but I like yours because I feel like I'm able to enjoy riding vicariously through your videos. I work at a desk job and ride whenever I can, but it's not as often as I'd like of course. So your videos are my escape from monotony. Thank you!
Brian, I’ve been watching several of the RU-vid bike channels over the last several years. Your riding has come so far, it’s been a pleasure to watch. One of the things I like the most about your channel, is of all of you authors (producers?), I believe you and Paul have stayed the most grounded. I say that in a good way, as in despite how large your channel has gotten, it’s the same personal feeling between viewer and channel. I will say some of the others it’s become more like watching tv episodes, which is ok, but it’s a far cry from how things started, and what drew me in initially. Keep up the good work, cheers.
Congratulations on 3 years clear of the rat race! You, Seth, and Alex have been big inspirations to me, and I finally launched my little RU-vid endeavour last month. Still a lot to learn, but it is fun as hell!
I honestly don’t think that anyone could ever take anything away from what you’ve achieved. The hard work, the determination and the bravery to get this going and keep it going. The commitment is amazing and you are so upbeat and arguably one of the most likeable guys out there. Long may it continue and thanks for what you do. Top bloke
Congratulations on 300k. If you ever get to Australia we have some awesome tracks around Coffs Harbour. Would love to see you ride them and even show you around them.
Congrats on 300k subs!! That is a huge accomplishment and a testament to your hard work. I’m still going thru your old stuff and I think I’m about 50% thru them and I haven’t found one I don’t like yet!! If you haven’t heard of the hackers deleting accounts please look it up because it has happened on some car RU-vid channels and their account is gone. Keep up the awesome work you. I can’t ride due to nerve damage in my back so I’m living vicariously through you and some of the others and what you create. Thank you!!
