I don't understand why so many people dislike Strauss. Granted he's a minor character, but he's the only one bringing in money legally. Plus, of course, he refused to speak a word about the gang when he was captured by the Pinkertons. People just portray his work negatively, despite being the least criminal member in the gang, due to the romanticism of the outlaw life. He does nothing different to what banks do. He's very sensible, polite, human, with more loyalty to the gang than himself. Yes, he's quite reserved and likes to keep to himself, but that's what makes him somewhat unique in comparison to the rest of the gang. He likes to do his work like he's in his own little banking office, whether it be at his camp desk or sitting a bit of a way away from the centre of camp. And people saying he used Arthur clearly have just not chosen to not do the debt collection missions. Arthur does it willingly because no one else will. Strauss likely said to him what he said to everyone else who could have done it. Gang members like Bill, Javier, John, Micah, Sean and Lenny could all be told the same thing about people being more likely to pay their debt back to people like them. Granted Arthur got Tuberculosis because he chose to help Strauss, but that has nothing to do with Strauss as a character.

I don't think Mary Beth sees Arthur as a brother, I haven't finished the game yet, maybe later on she says something that make you think that but right now at chapter 3, there are times when if you sit by her side, she's 100% of the time looking at you, even though there are more gang members sitting there too, she's looking ONLY at you, and there are times when Arthur looks back at her she then turns her head somewhere else, but as soon as Arthur is not looking at her, she looks back at him, I've noticed that this doesnt happen with other characters, only with her, and about Kieran, like I said I haven't finished the game, but so far, I think she just kinda has this mercyful attitude towards him? I wouldnt know how to explain it, but like, whenever she says something like "You're sweet, awful O'Driscoll, but you're sweet" and things like that, I dont think shes being flirty, shes just being nice 'cause of her innocent nature, shes probably the most civilized character in the gang, I dont get why people think that thats being flirty? I guess thats why there are tons of virgins out there, they simply just dont understand women at all (I'm not saying Im the wisest person about that on earth either, I just want to point out that what Im going to say or write in this case, is so obvious and see so many people misunderstanding this just blow my mind), on the other hand her relationship with Arthur AT LEAST until chapter 3, I dont see it like Big brother and sister at all... Why would the developers create that interaction of her looking at Arthur 100% of the time if they sit together? It doesnt happen with other characters, theyre being so obvious about it and you still dont see it, so you guys see romance when theres non (Kieran) but you dont see it when there is (Arthur) its like youre trying so hard to not understand womens mentality... But anyway... RDR2 it's such a great game, its world feels so alive and thats really hard to pull off, it's just kinda slow on the story but I think that was the intention anyway, so meh, okay...

Rev. Swanson was a man of God, who got into a criminal gang. His early life & training would have told him this was wrong. That he stayed with Dutch & could not escape, explains his drunkeness & drug addiction, to blur out his situation. That he sees enough to come to, and leave to NY, makes him the hero in a game about redemption. Who could preach to a congregation better, than a pastor who knew rock bottom? Maybe, just me projecting.

Those are amazing written characters , like Bill , Reverend , for example Reverand is a broken sad , man , and Bill just a sad soul that was saved by Dutch , do you know actually know the game? There is a hundred camp interaction between characters , campfire stories , and those scenes show the characters and i feel like your explanation is boring and doesnt make sense and you dont use any logic saying just character are boring , dont add dynamics , or whatever , all character written amazing if your pay attention on dialogues between characters
