I Redesigned Ahsoka’s Outfits. Because Why Wouldn’t I? 

To be fair, Aayla Secura was already running around in revealing clothes while fighting a war, but there's a difference, she's an adult woman, not a teenager girl.

I like the outfits you came up with. They make more sense then then what the show gave us. Espically the season 1-3 outfit. Seriously who thought that tupe top was a good idea?

Ahh, this is very cool. I'm surprised how you can work with a character you don't like and improve it. I myself often redesign and rewrite something and I will never be able to work with material that I initially do not like. And you can, it's very cool! I especially liked your costume redesign from seasons 1-3. Looks much better than it was. If I were to redo something, it would probably be that she would be wearing multi-layered clothing, To visually somehow enlarge her body. Because her head is big and her neck and body look like a match and it feels like her head will simply outweigh and Ahsoka will break in half. (In the first seasons at least, then it got better)

This is a great video. I really enjoyed the designs you came up with, particularly that they're not skin tight, and do allow for some freedom of movement, which is important for a Jedi character. Slightly loose but form fitting clothing. The character designs and art style are pleasing to look at. Unique topic too. I don't see anyone really coming up with this, it's just blind praise from TCW fans. I also appreciated the description of each element in each design as well as showing the official concept art. It's great you made her a bit more bulky, as expected from someone who has spent their entire life training and then later fighting in a war. Anakin gain a lot of bulk in 3 years of war. Apparently Ahsoka is supposed to be inspirational to girls or something but it conveys the opposite message when the main girl character is stick thin, and doesn't have a realistic body for the type of physical activity she does. It undermines real life girls who look at that and want to become stick thin when that's unrealistic and can be dangerous if they want to engage in physically demanding activities.

As an aspiring character designer/animator as well as writer (yes, I’m trying to catch ‘em all) I loved all of your designs and agree with most of your takes regarding her original outfits. I definitely like your design for her costume that she wears for the majority of her teen years in TCW better than the actual canon design😅

I like what you did with the character designs because yeah, I was kind of weird how she was so exposed, but her face markings being more fierce, kind of added to her being a teenager, and not an adult, giving her a more scarier look to her opponents

Yeah, Ahsoka definitely needed some armor. Anakin and Obi-Wan wore armor during the first couple seasons, but she was stuck in a tube top that practically screamed "Please shoot me here repeatedly until I die." Tells you something about the writers, doesn't it? #CreepyDave

Triangular design of Ahsoka is not her personal style, it's the wooden CGI style overall that gives all the characters those sharp edges.

I'd be partial to have Ahsoka wear the standard Jedi robes back from Phantom Menace. Or something similar to Obi-Wan's TCW armor, or the armor he wore in the 2003 Clone Wars show when he fought Durge. Or maybe something like Satele Shan's Jedi robes in the SWTOR trailers. My ideal choice would be something similar to Ven Zallow's armor in the Deceived trailer. She's the kind of Jedi who likes to get into the thick of battle and whale on the enemy with her lightsaber, it's only proper that she should have heavier armor. I'd have her wear Satele's robes when she was younger, in Seasons 1-3, then in the later seasons, she upgrades to the heavier armor worn by Ven Zallow as she becomes more ferocious in melee combat.

this is really cute especially her new version of her younger clothing designs. the show designers weren't the best..... I like what u did. do u mind if I post some of the pictures on Pinterest but give all the credit to you for your amazing work???

I am glad, that they didn't use those generic placeholder moisture farmer robes for Ahsoka design, honestly, Prequels made Jedi so unspecial, by giving almost all of them the same outfit, same blue/green lightsabers and making Yoda teach all the younglings like in school, instead of it being personal and unique.

Ashoka with those new markings are cute, but now she looks a bit too friendly?

Always hated the first outfit design she had starting with the movie but the original season 3B-6 outfit design is goated

“Why wouldn’t I?” Idk, Probably, and I’m not trying to seem sarcastic or commonsensical, just because people already like the pre-existing designs, I don’t really care to be honest as long as it’s nothing completely horrendous I’ll be fine with it.
