Back then, since RM is the only one who fully understand English, he used to translate all the hate comments to positive ones for the members so that they won't get hurt and get inspired instead. Imagine him keeping all the hate to himself. He's so strong i love him so much t😭😭😭
Caitlin, just fyi. When RM and Suga criticized because of they are idol and wearing make up, they still 18 and 19 years old. They are younger but they are more mature than some people there.
sometimes I'll be going about my day and suddenly im thinkin about how joon was in junior high wearing shorts getting straight A's and learning English from scratch by day and then sneaking out to battle rap at night making guys bigger than him too scared to go against him. and I just smile :')
actually yesterday this article came out and RM said very heartwarmingly and beautifully about army “There are many blessings we could’ve gotten these 8 years but the best luck we ever had is we have you guys all over the world,” RM said. “So please don’t forget that whether we get the Grammy or not, we already got what we wanted & we got you, so that means we got everything.”
RM and Suga acted very mature during that interview with other rappers and both were answering very calmly, while these rappers were trying to offend them. Can't even imagine how hard was it for them, they were very young and already got so much hate
These documentaries are a life saver for new Armys cuz they really cover the roots of BTS. I dont know when u will get to Idol, but it is really good that u are watching these first, in Idol they touch up on the idol or artist question more (in 2018 so imagine how long they have been criticised for,and how many stereotypes the had to shatter), and i would suggest the channel "DKDKTV" explained by a Korean series, they really break down that cultural barier for us. And i dont know if its because u also went through so much in ur life or not, but i really like how mature u are, im a 99 liner so its really refreshing to see somebody who is down to earth and speaking facts.
for your information: the day d-2 came out, the guy who asked that stupid makeup question got arrested for assaulting another rapper. karma is an army :)
He also had a lot of nerve with the oh you shouldn't do it for money, when he's a rich kid from Hawaii. Btw he really sucks as a rapper. I Couldn't even get past a few minutes. ARMY did a collective cheer when we got news that he got arrested. We got a long memory.
clearly the "hip-hop culture" he criticised the guys for not having was toxic masculitity. Our boys know how to pay hommage to hip-hop while talking about real issues and with a sensitivity and self reflection that is more mature and more manly than he could ever fathom
The crazy thing is that after all this time, after winning all these awards they are still so humble and down to earth. All the fame, money and fortune didnt change them. And i love them even more for it.
13:11 coincidentally this rookie group enhypen (related a bit to bts too, bts attended the show where enhypen was formed and they work in the same building since rookie group's agency is a collaboration between bighit and another company, enhypen also looks up to bts a lot) just had their 100 days since debut yesterday and celebrated it today like bangtan in this video :)
About their rap styles: RM is the lyricist, SUGA is the technician, J-Hope is the rhythm. You can tell Namjoon came from writing poetry, Yoongi from producing music and Hobi from dancing. Namjoon writes the most beautiful double (triple) meaning lyrics (not that the other boys lyrics aren't good, Joon is just on an entire different level imho.), Yoongi just OWNS a beat and can rap BEAUTIFULLY over any type of track while letting the music live and breathe with him and Hobi just plain DANCES his Rap to the music. His flow is INSANE. (Does it show that I have a thing for rap line? Yes?)
As for the Linkin Park bit, JK used to listen to a lot of altrock, he has worn gauge earrings, has always wanted to have tattoos since he debuted and now has a Nirvana quote tattoed on his arm, it's one of his first tats in the sleeve as well. So this side never really left and we all hope for rockstar JK one day :D also you will see and hear mentions of trot music all over BTS content - thats quite a specific genre of music very popular in Korea especially among older audiences; our boys probably grew with it so it's dear to them :) here V is dancing to a trot song around 53:00 and JK sings Everybody say NO in a trot manner
18:05 hahahaha Caitlyn is finally seeing B-Jailed for the first time LMAO 24:36 dammit seeing fetus Bangtan always makes me bust out the uwus. 28:11 yes the MMA is one of the biggest award shows along with MAMA, GDA and KMA. 38:36 Rookie King 49:32 welcome to JK's screamo phase. 51:09 all of them crossdressed one time or another. Some did it better than others lol. My faves are definitely YoonJin. This docuseries should be watched by all, especially baby Army. It's not yet finished though.
I'm very glad you talked about your experience on stage, because in my dance class (during the Pre-Covid Era), there's this big performance. Granted, we're only on stage for 2 minutes while higher-level classes got to perform more, but I remember my dance teacher emphasizing wearing makeup. It's either that or getting washed out by the intensely bright lights my high school invested in recently, so everybody in the class was slathering layers and layers of makeup just for those 2 minutes. By the end of the night we all looked like raccoons, but it was fun and we loved performing and wow-ing the audience, so even if we had to wear trash bags we'd still do it. That's only a small fraction of BTS' job as entertainers, and I love and respect them for both wearing makeup and finding their individuality through the non-hypermasculine image they put forth.
I like how this documentary is explaining the background of kpop and stuff like that because some army's out there be bashing and dragging the whole kpop industry to hell cussing everyone out there Weather that person did/sad something bad tp BTS or not BTS will always be a huge part of the kpop history
The rapline put out some great music based of this guy and his stupid comments so in a way we have to see this as a blessing due to him early on their journey 👏 the guys banded together got closer and got thicker skin.
In that B free mess of a interview. The thing that I HATE regardless of what B free said 1) RM and suga were minors when this happened b free was at least 20 2) there were three/four underground rappers all ganging up and having a pop. I think those two young men handled that With so much maturity and grace in the face of total ignorance and dis respect. At the end of the day ARMY only know who he is because of this interview and cypher part 2 😆 Where is he now? What’s he doing? Still grinding and scrapping in underground rap? We Stan articulate talented kings and that what every BTS member is.
Well for me it’s ok even he’s still struggling in the underground scene. There’s no shame in that if your time to shine hasn’t come yet. But what is shameful is all the incidents he’s been involved in since, like being in jail for battery etc.
This made me cry so much and laugh so much and beam so hard out of my heart. Thank you. I just love that you're out there giving us this option to watch these things along with you. Thank you.
Great reaction, Caitlin! And thanks for giving a shout out to the creators of this series. (Let’s all make sure we give some love & likes on the original video too! 🙂) One thing I noticed from the footage used is that BTS and Army were getting a lot of hate and I don’t think it was just from those rappers. Seeing this makes me very appreciative of Army who were there at the beginning to support our boys. Thank you OG Army! 💜
The song in the background 31:50 of the credits was “We On” and its def like a trap beat and they went hard on that b-side. I can’t believe baby Bangtan made music like that.
You said you liked the song "Rise of Bangtan/Attack on Bangtan"... you must check out: BTS - 'Attack on Bangtan (The Rise of Bangtan) Japan Epilogue' - this performance is iconic from the water bottle throw to the epic "nico nico nii" (Jimin was laughing so hard he couldn't sing) - this is a "not to be missed, must see"!!!!
I think RM got it all out in Joke. 😂 You need to react to Joke, but read the lyrics first because there's NO way that you can keep up during the mv! 🤯😅
People are so closed minded because they don’t want to admit that some one is better then they are. RM is an amazing person to handle haters they way he does. They all are.💜💜💜
I enjoyed watching your reactions as well as the video itself.I love BTS more because of this video.Thank you Caithlin and the whole theme who made this video. Borahae💜.
The song towards the end of the episode is "Boy In Luv", one of their older songs. It's FILLED with growling and is super catchy, you should react to it!
I am sure others have already said it, but Cypher part 2 was written to respond specifically to the idiot in that interview. It is one of my favorite BTS songs, so some good came out of it. Also, I think it lit even more of a fire in them to show the world their incredible writing and rap skills. This is what I try to remember, rather than letting the idiot get my blood pressure up!
We don’t mind you doing more music after the doc video or in between. It’s whatever you’re comfortable with. We will click on the video when it uploads regardless 💜
The only things I can say right now. First, thank you for this reaction and for everything you do. Second, I love you girl! Honestly, what you do is amazing. And I can't wait to see what you'll think about their first albums, pretty sure you'll love them :)) Take care of yourself and stay safe! Borahae!
It’s so interesting how it shows the groups around them- like I saw Shinee unexpectedly and was so excited 😂 I hope you get to react to them someday (they just had a comeback!) they’re widely known as the princes of Kpop
The guy saying nonsense about them being girls for wearing makeup is a rapper named B-Free. He has so many issues beyond this interview. He has said the n word multiple times and is currently in prison for showing up at another rapper's house and hitting him after a twitter argument. He has tried to apologize for what he said about BTS but the apology was rejected by armys because it wasn't sincere and he was just trying to keep his career from tanking. If you want a good laugh, look up his song City of Seoul on youtube and check out the like to dislike ratio.
Actually I’m going through a lot of your videos ! I discovered your channel 1 week ago and since then I’m always watching your reaction videos ! I watched a tons of différents kpop’s reaction videos but yours are my ultimate favorites ! Like girl I just want to sit down with you and have a conversation about Koop for hours ! I hope you will success in your studies and I hope that you will be able to become a great music producer ! Have a good day :)
I love their beginning. 2kool4skool, orul82?, and Skool Luv Affair they seemed so determined talented humble and just like normal boys who loved their new careers.
Since not all idols/idol groups make it past 100 days I feel like that's why these days companies are doing pre-debut and pre-release songs to build up the fandoms before debut. This is actually the main reason I don't understand why people hate pre-debut and pre-release stuff because their necessary.
😍 Thank you!! 37:55 Rookie king BTS including all games 😂😂 You can watch ‘Attack on bangtan’ dance practice for that baseball thing! It’s really fun~^^🙏
17:49 I have this thing about masculinity and femininity. The masculinity that a lot of people seem to think of is all hollywood and fake macho and bravado. It's something not realistically achievable. It's the same with femininity. A lot of the feminine "perfection" that people look up to is all media, photoshop, and unrealistic. We are all a mixture of masculine and feminine qualities and energies. Some more feminine than others and some more masculine than others. I understand people's need to categorize things in ways that they can understand in simple terms, but I wish they'd stop categorizing things so strictly. Not everything is so black and white. Allow grey areas to exist.
that is the most disgusting interview i ever heard in my life, we are never forgetted and never ever ever and ever receive his apologize. btw, thankyou for your genuine reaction☺️ purple you💜
