It's not a warning and this behavior is not something that should be stopped or intervened with, since it's not aggressive. Hissing between cats is a way to settle differences in ''ranks'', just like wolves in their territories, but rather than ranks with cats is more like ''I was here first, you're new, recognize me''.
It’s called a Flehmen’s response 😊 they leave their mouth open to process a change of smells/pheromones/chemicals etc. They have a special organ that allows them to taste smells…or is it smells taste? Idr exactly but its similar. Even the big cats do it, they just do it way more often. It’s cute as hell though cuz domestic cats just look derpy when they do ❤
@@OverIt822”you know Flehmen must’ve liked the stank tho - sorta ‘I’ll check if the milk is bad’ kinda guy. ‘What’s that brown thing on the carpet? Get Flehmen, he’ll smell it!’” -ZeFrank
this couple is just so cute - two people who adore pets and want them to get along, with way more patience and resolve than most owners would want to be troubled with!
Kai is so tender, polite and sweet. It takes Chase a little while to warm up. But they are all good babies. Blessings to all your kitties and your family. Amen 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚🤑🤑💚 Thank you for sharing this beautiful energy on this beautiful babies. I love them all. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow this couple love cats like me God bless you guys you are a wonderful I love cats too I just love animals so much and I spend so much money feeding birds squirrels and rescuing cats here in Pueblo Colorado it makes me so happy to see people❤
Cats are the funniest little creatures. They all act like human children no matter how old they get. Oh, and that look on Kai’s face after Chase hissed at him as Daddy carried him away, killed me! That look was priceless 😂😂😂
Yeahhhh for sure. I have three 8 month old kitties and they act like human children. My male kitty he likes to come and hug me he actually sits on my lap and put his front legs around my neck and he does this daily he also gets behind me and do the same on my back and shoulder. His sister she likes to take my change if she's not doing that she goes through it like she counting it. The other sister she's more quiet and like to just lay in my lap and nap. I love my babies dearly and yes I spoil them 😂🤣.
They are, when my my lil kitty wants attention, he will whinge at me until I pick him up and give him kisses on his head, he loves those. He leans into them and rubs his face into mine, he's such a little baby and I love him. I would uninstall my life if cat's randomly ceased to exist, it ain't worth it without them.
Honestly the audacity humans develop when they cap their cats nails. I wonder if they would be nearly this chill and persistent with them when they are clearly stressed and annoyed if the threat of serious damage with claws was on the table. Chase also isn't hissing cause he's bored.
Not necessarily, one of my cats opens his mouth a little like that when he is really playful , I know this because first time I saw it we were playing with him with a toy and was loving it . He cried when we tried to put it up
Chase is so jealous. 😅 People use to always ask my daughter who is your mom talking to. My cat and I had conversations. Cats are smart if you treat them that way.
That is natural male behavior. I had 2 male cats with the second one being a stray brought into the house cause he was injured. I kept him in my son's old room for about a month to 6 weeks with my inside cat visiting the door daily with less and less aggression. Till I finally could bring him out. They became buddies, play together, sleep together, bathe each other. The only problem was when one of them would sneak out. Then there was a lot of hissing going on from the one cat inside the house. Just needed to scold the hisser a few times and they were back to being buddies. I think it mainly is a male/male issue. After you spoke with Chase I'm sure not a real long of a time after this they were fine.
