My last Plato's Closet experiment went so well that I decided to give it another try, this time with my friend's clothes! Spoiler alert: I made over $400 in quick cash again! My friend had 5 bags of old clothes to get rid of so I decided to see how much money I could make for her selling her clothes to multiple Plato's Closets (& even a Clothes Mentor).
In this video, I take you along with me and show you what sold and give you tips to get the most money at Plato's Closet. This is a must watch video if you are looking to clean out your closet and get the most bang for your buck, especially in time for the new year!
Selling on Poshmark is time consuming. Plato's Closet and Clothes Mentor have a same-day service where they pay cash for clothes. Taking your clothes to multiple locations is beneficial because a new person looks at them each time! #platos #platoscloset #closetcleanout #quickmoney

@@withlovesavana I take most of my stuff to Goodwill. I probably donate to Goodwill about 2x month. But I want to take some of my old Michael Kors purses to Plato’s Closet and see what happens! Agree that it’s nice to get rid of stuff you don’t wear!

I donated a bunch to Goodwill today too! It’s nice that you keep up with it like that. I find that Plato’s doesn’t pay much for Michael Kors and Kate Spade. I can always make way more on Posh but I know that it can be annoying!

Goodwill is not a good place to donate. Please find a women’s refuge shelter or donate to the local foster care system.

There's some items in my inventory that just are not worth the time or energy to list. They are either old clothes of mine or I got them at the Goodwill bins so I have little investment cost into them I'm just going to take them and hope that Plato's closet takes them or I'll just donate them back.

It’s definitely worth trying! I totally get that though. Listing is only really worth the work and waiting if you can get a decent amount for the item. Good luck at Plato’s!!

the only way i would do this is with the items that i could not sell on other platforms because basically it is a dump - as a seller or reseller point of view

Yes! I always keep the better or more high-end ones for places like Posh but it’s a good alternative for when you don’t have the time/don’t want to deal with posting a huge volume. It gets the clothes out of your house fast, which I love! Thanks for watching😊

I’m sorry you didn’t have a positive experience😭 I’ve gone and had them take nothing at all too. It depends a lot on how much inventory they have, what they’re looking for, etc. Best of luck if you ever go in the future🤞🏻🫶🏻

Yeahhhh, haha😂 but it’s nice to get something back for the clothes you don’t wear anymore, especially when there’s a lot of them!
