Happy Halloween! This video was a bit of fun for the season. I spent 48 hours 700 ft underground. It was something I was looking forward to for a long time, and it was a blast.
If you haven't already, I hope you'll check out my other videos and subscribe! They are all a bit more calm an include building restorations, abandoned mine explorations, refining metals, and more!
Make sure to tune back in next week, because I have a VERY exciting video on the way.

Maybe even put together an Amazon wish list of basic items for a cache. Contributors can pay for them, and drop ship them to his PO box. He can stash them throughout the mines, in their original Amazon boxes, with the name of the purchaser on the outside. Thanks I loved your quirky adventure! I was a 43 year career underground miner up in Timmins Canada, and got stuck underground once for 20 hours as the man hoist broke down on the dayshift (about 300 miners underground at the time), so we had to come to surface on top of one of the 2 skips. The bottom levels of the mine are always hoisted first in an emergency, so being at one of the upper working levels, the 1600' level I was one of the last few miners to be hoisted to surface, I was starving as I never brought lunch to work, just a thermos of tea, anyways when I hit surface my supervisor had the nerve to ask me if I was coming-out for the dayshift...I took the day off, besides I had all that overtime pay from being 20 hours underground!

BRENT you're a lot of fun to watch enjoying your cave mines. you have a great setup to beat the claustrophobic conditions with closed in rock walls surrounding you and setting up a lighted bar - who would have thought up something so unique not even the "Miners of Old" would have thought of doing something elaborate like that, umbrella and a queen size bed and a comfort chair!!! They must be watching you from above and laughing their heads off LOL!!! And to make it hilarious you're spoking yourself out - it must be all the shrimps you've eaten - they've come alive LOL!!! Your Hawaiian outfit, with face mask, red robe, hula leilei, and even a massage machine, is great to beat the night bugs away and the night creepy sounds takes your mind off the unseen of what's around you but still hearing the chattering going on!!! Relaxing on your Cerro Gordo pool is so out of this world it makes your video more interesting and hilarious LOL!!! Have you located the area where those Chinese miners were caved in and lost their lives? That area would be interesting to find next time. For me this is 17/06/23 and you've probably located it by now. Just asking!!!

Many years ago when I was living (squatting) in an isolated area of the Mt. Hood National Forest (Oregon), the only noise, besides the normal noises in a thick deciduous forest, was the Clackamas River. The river, rushing, and tumbling rocks emulated crowd noise. Or people murmuring in the background. None of it was decipherable, but it was distinctly crowd sound-like. There were no other people around for 100 miles or more. It was strangely comforting, and at other times, disconcerting. A few weeks after a random fly-over by the US Forest Service, a ranger hiked in to ascertain the situation. While asking me questions, he stopped and with a quizzical look on his face asked me, "Do you hear people talking?" I laughed and said, "Oh yes, it's nothing. I hear it all the time!" Like it was as normal as could be. It's interesting how you are experiencing the same phenomenon.

Your ears try to make sense of any sound or lack of sound. Just like your eyes see something and tell your brain what it is seeing using something familiar to you. Like when I'm driving to town and I see a black bear running on the road. I live way out in the country on the southern Oregon coast. With miles and miles and miles of forests and hills on a long curvy gravel road. When I first see the bear, the first thought is what is a black lab doing way out here. Then I realize it's a bear. Your mind expects a dog not a bear. A mind is a weird thing.

@C12Down

@@anti-ethniccleansing465 well I think he is talking about the gases of the fuel (propane) being burnt
@KenjiFox
@KenjiFox Год назад
@@anti-ethniccleansing465 Carbon monoxide is a product of combustion of any fossil fuels. Burning the propane makes CO CO2 and H2O. The first is Carbon Monoxide, the second is Carbon Dioxide- what we exhale and the same gas that makes soda fizzy- and the third is water vapor. CO is odorless, though I can always smell the rich flame that creates it very easily. When burning propane for example, CO is produced the most with an inefficient burn. A rich yellow flame will make more than a clean blue one. However if the flame is hot enough it will start making more NOx instead. Not as big a deal. The propane itself unburnt is harmless other than suffocation by displacing the oxygen rich air. If CO were not produced just because the fuel were burnt, why would car exhaust kill people in their homes and garages? The engine would shut down if the gasoline were not burning. TLDR, be very careful burning fossil fuels including coal in enclosed spaces. That said, he was okay in this air volume and near that massive lift shaft. The heat from the flame and his body alone would convect much of it upwards where it would spread left and right like water falling up.
