We stayed at this hotel one night on the same trip where I proposed to my wife :) It was busier back then but a very good experience. The next day we caught the bus to Disney Sea. Happy memories!
Hi I am really enjoying your travel video's and the style you are using. Nice way to sit in the evening and relax. I Visited Japan in 1986. A long time ago. Lots of happy memories.
I had a feeling you were Christian! I can tell from your character and how you present yourself in your videos. :) My husband and I were in Shinjuku a few years ago and walked into a fair selling japanese homeware plates and dishes. We realized it was a Christian church and it was one of our favorite memories. 🥲
Very cool to hear about your Church experience Rion! I love Japan and have been fortunate to visit a few times I would love to come back one day and travel and visit a church I worked with in Hirosaki. I wonder if you've heard of OMF, they're an organization that plants churches globally but also in Japan! If my wife and I ever get to come back to Japan we'd love to take you to dinner! Cheers from Canada!
Keisei Access Express is faster and relatively quite economic. It doesn't stop at Tokyo Station, or offer built-in toilets. But you can ride it from Shinagawa & Toei Asakusa line. If there is no immediately available Access Express from those stations at the time of your departure, you could always go to Oshiage and then take the Access Express from Oshiage.
It’s nice to see that you had fun on your “mini staycation” at the Narita Hilton Hotel. You deserve it! 👍 Also, I can totally relate to you, Rion. I am also not a morning person (but I keep on trying to be one but… 😂) however, I can’t say no to breakfast… Most specially if it is a hotel breakfast buffet… That’s…. Heaven~ 🤩 * hello to unlimited pancakes and hashbrowns😂 * aaaand! I am amazed that you can have your * unlimited * coffee to-go because from what I know, not all hotels do that. That’s why I really think that the additional 500 JPY for the breakfast buffet is really worth it 👍 😉 Again, thank you so much for sharing your “mini staycation” experience to us and for explaining every detail you can tell to us. We really appreciate it ❤️ And by doing this, you’re helping the staff of Hilton Hotel. 😊 Also, we’re already excited to see your experience with the LCC 😊 Take care always and welcome back (again) to Osaka! God bless! 🙏
Having done the cheap trip out to Tokyo station with the regular Keizer line and having taken the Narita Express, the extra cost is worth it for your sanity. Plus at least on the Narita Express you at least have a bathroom.
I initially thought that you were a christian. because I saw the fish logo on your laptop. So now I am even more excited to see your content! keep a good work Rion.
LOL I had to laugh when you explained that you were wearing a different white t-shirt. I do the exact same thing when I go to work every day. Do people think that I am wearing the same shirt as well? I wonder! :p By the way, nice video as usual. Thanks for taking us with you. :D
The Narita area offered 4~5 Stars hotels with much lower prices than their Tokyo counterparts. It is quite a relatively economic way to enjoy 4~5 Stars accomodation in Japan, that is 'relatively nearby' Tokyo. If you want to make it part of your normal stay, but still want to regulary commute to Tokyo. Get JR East Tokyo Wide Pass or the more general use Greater Tokyo Pass. The JR East version cost more, but will allow you to use the Narita Express, offering a around 1 hour commute between Narita & Tokyo, and vice versa. Plus the use of JR East networks. The Greater Tokyo Pass allowed you to use the Keisei lines, but you still need to pay the extra fee / surcharge Liner fee if you want to use the Skyliner, Morning Liner, and Evening Liner. You though get the use of many non-JR East networks, plus local buses.
When I was in Japan I was very surprised that there was already sun rise at 5 am in the morning and that helped me to become morning person when I was there. Lol
Hello Rion! Seems like a long ride from Tokyo to your home town but anyway, so excited for you traveling especially in Japan's most likely. Hopefully 2022 Feb if ever covid 19 would just disappear. For now let's keep watching Rion and travel with him let's all keep walking☺😊😀 stay safe hon😇
I would love to do a collab when i come to Japan next year! You could show me and my brother around! You seem like a cool guy, we are Christian to! God bless
Hi Rion. I'm from the Philippines and I enjoy your Japan vlogs. Been wanting to visit Japan, esp. Osaka, but the pandemic hit. Anyway, I'm also glad to learn that you're a Christian. I saw the Ichtus/fish sign on your laptop so I had a hint. Then you talked about it! Amazing! God bless, brother!
You just got a lucky great deal from the Hilton Hotel! You were so funny when you were trying to figure our how to turn off the lights. That's also my problem whenever I stay in a hotel. It always makes me feel ignorant. haha! I do look forward to travel there very soon but I am also worried about type of vaccines that Japan would accept for tourist. However, I also worried about each country's citizen so I hope Japan will have a safe opening. PS. You really look fancy there! :)
Definitely worth the extra few hundred yen to take the Narita Express. The seats are much more comfortable, there is space for luggage, a very clean bathroom onboard, the train stops less and is much faster to the airport. Be careful to research this as I made the mistake once and took a local train from Narita airport to Tokyo, and it was exhausting!
I prefer to take the bus to the airport because I have big luggage and they take you straight to the departure terminal. Thanks for this video. I'm sad that I missed the live, but I was working. I am a morning person because I start working at 0-dark thirty. I feel that the day is wasted if I sleep in too late. Even when I'm on vacation, I try to wake up by 6:00am (late for me). I miss Osaka so I'm looking forward to your videos from there.
I have taken both the regular train and the express train (N'EX) to and from Narita airport during multiple trips to Tokyo. I still prefer taking the express train for the extra $$$ because of the speed, fewer train stops, guaranteed seating, smooth and comfortable rides, clean big restroom, and save time. The cheaper regular train made me really uncomfortable especially after I just arrived and having jetlag. The not-so-smooth ride, many train stops and longer travel time made me regret not taking the express train.
It is the Crew Hotel of Swiss Airline and many others. I stay here for every Month. 7/11 ist is our Shop for Food..My Home in Japan. But we take Keisei Line to Ueno, Cheaper. Narita lot of Crew Members. So they are many Pubs.
i remember riding the train from tokyo station to narita airport and the train i took(i think it was keisei narita skyaccess) stopped in the middle of nowhere and i had to wait 10-20 min for another train going to narita airport and i was kinda scared since it was late in the evening and was thinking no more train would pass xD so i agree it can get quite confusing when not taking the narita express haha
I once took the cheapest Keisei Line train from Narita to Tokyo for 1000 yen and it took about as long. NEVER AGAIN!! I've always used either the Narita Express or the Keisei Skyliner to make the trip in about 40 minutes. Just not worth it.
I stayed a night at this hotel in Feb. 2019 on a overnight layover. Took the shuttle into Narita for dinner with a friend. Much better value than the Hilton Disneyland hotel on the way home. Future trips I'll fly in and out of Haneda hopefully.
Due to the pandemic, hotels that are located near famous spots offer discounts! I stayed at a hotel for reasonable price in Asakusa the other day. Now it's the time to have experience of staying at luxury hotels.
It so cute when he said he is using a diff white shirt 🤣 thats happened to me lots too.. Friends thought i always wearing the same black shirt whenever i go out with themm.. Lol they didnt know how much black shirt i have
It 's so funny when you explained you wore different white t-shirts because I do it all the time too. 🤣🤣🤣 But i wear black only. I have to explain to my friends that I have a lot of similar black t-shirts in my wardrobe. And of course, I change my t-shirt everyday. 🤣🤣🤣
If you have the JR rail pass you can take the NEX as part of the pass. If you fly into Narita go to the JR office to activate your rail pass and then you can catch the NEX. I took the NEX from Narita to Tokyo station, then the Metro to where the hotel was.
You look pretty happy chugging down all those food! 😂 Dang! After watching your video, I admit I chose the wrong hotel when I had to stay overnight near narita airport last time!
Loved the hotel tour, Rion! I always enjoy hotel tours, especially airport hotels. It always makes me feel like I'm traveling, too, and getting away from it all. Thanks also for sharing all of the details of the train travel. I love traveling by train, too. Looking forward to the next video about your flight. Arigatougozaimasu 👍 ✈️
What!!! I didn't know you were a Christian?? It's so rare to see a Japanese Christian! No wonder you are always so joyful and glowing! God bless you Rion!
Rion, Thank you so much😄for this nice video. You’re such a funny guy that’s why I loved to watch your video 🤣 By the way, Is the Typhoon No.14 will affect Osaka? Will it affect your live stream tomorrow? Stay safe. 😄Gaooooooooo 🦁
I went to the same Hilton hotel in 2018 and I think the konbini got bigger?? 0.0 I went there in the evening as well around 5-7pm i can’t remember. When we came to the hotel, there were a lot of airport crews and tourist groups. The restaurant is also closed at that time. I wonder why they don’t open much later but the morning after makes up for it. I also went to the konbini. It somehow slipped out of my mind but I was surprised that they have microwaves( we don’t have microwaves in konbini here). The cashier offered to heat our food up. My brain buffered for a sec before saying yes lolll. It’s nice to see that they offered more bowls of food instead of just ramen. The morning buffet food is so so good! They have a lot of drink selections. I still miss their soda machine because they have flavors that I don’t have here. I hope if I go back to Tokyo I will stay at same hotel
Just for clarity, the black sugar mentioned in the video is just brown sugar. It is called "kuro zato" in Japanese which translates to black sugar. Enjoyed this vid very much. Best wishes on your journey.
Very nice hotel. I loved the breakfast buffet, so many choices. When you were looking for the light switch it made me laugh 😂 it happens to me too in hotels 😂 looking forward to your flight to Osaka video!
I really hope that I can come visit Japan soon- I was there in 2017-18 and all I want is to go back!! I hope you are right and Japan will reopen to foreigners soon! In the meantime, I will keep watching your videos & live through you lol
The better way to take an early flight it's standing in Narita city. There is hotels who have shuttles. You have everything what à city can offert. Nirata San temple and the old downtown is great. It's the place to try japenese eal. Avoid the airport to stay a night.
Hello, we will be staying at Hilton Narita for couple nights.. We would like to visit some areas that are very close to the airport.. What is the way of transportation and how much? Thanks
Oh wow! The room looks exactly like the one we stayed in during our trip to Niseko Hokkaido a few years ago! We also stayed at a Hilton hotel. Seems like they have a Uniform interior along with the furnitures.
I really enjoy seeing all the Japanese trains in your videos. I have Densha de Go! on my PS4. Took me a while to learn how to pilot the yamanote, since I don’t speak Japanese. Finally earned to pilot the N’EX!
