I really enjoy your exciting train journey videos specially local trains which gives valuable information about small towns of Japan and tourism. Also people come to know about popular foods of japan. Expecting more local train videos
I got the JR Pass which is only available for tourists when I visited Japan. Allows you to use all JR trains, and the JR Shinkansen (Hikari). Definitely a cost saver if you’re planning to travel all over Japan.
I love that you’re always so cheerful about everything! 🥰 I follow a lot of RU-vidrs who live in Japan but most of them are foreigners. You’re native and yet you decided to show us your homeland through your own eyes, I think that’s pretty amazing!! ☺️
I literally loved the way you interact with us and describing your whole experience, which intrigues us to visit at least once. Basically I love overnight train ride and this reminded me my old childhood days travelling in train at night. ❤️
Great info. as that'll be bad when I travel the same way too. Plus, not understanding Japanese will be a horror for me to find the cabin. Will definitely need a translator.
The Sunrise Express 285 series!!! The last overnight sleeper train in Japan... I REALLY hope i can be able to ride it at least once before it retires..... Was that the deluxe Single room? One should really wait at the platform for the carriage number for your room, walking through those coridors and steps are surely a big work out! The sight at Okayama station (beyond Osaka) is pretty neat too, to see the trains couple (towards Tokyo direction) or un-couple (towards Takamatsu/ Izumo shi) Always love your videos! Thank you!
I really feel like I'm travelling while watching this video! I miss the sound of the train and the quietness of a cabin while looking forward to the destination! Thanks also for spending a lot just to show this to us! It may be one of your bucket lists but it's still expensive. Stay safe always, especially during Olympic games!
I really want to visit Japan so much. It's really an awesome country 😊😊 This video was really so detailed and wonderful . Really nice work, sir . Just awesome😁😁👌👌And I love the way , how he is so cheerful 😊😊👍👍
Rion-san! You are SAIKO! Honto-ne. Very hard-working & relatable w/extremely interesting, varied, professional content. Stay healthy & safe onegai & arigato for keeping Japan alive in my heart. Miss it so much.🧔
Sunrise Seto runs daily between Tokyo and Takamatsu on the island of shikoku and the Sunrise Izumo runs daily from Tokyo and Izumoshi. When they travel to Tokyo they both stop at Okayama and join together to combine both 7 car trains to one 14 car train and on the reverse journey they split at Okayama and go there seperate ways you have to make sure when they split your on the right side otherwise you could go to the wrong destination.
Dam that train window view is what anime ending themes are made of! Picture it and anime character laying back while the lights of the city flash across his/her's face
Excellent video. Great train ride. Smart use of time lapse while your were sleeping! Love it you sticking some Japanese phrases here and there. Put more in there. Would love to learn some Japanese from you.
Hi Rion, Enjoyed seeing your journey on the overnight train 🚞 . Liked the way you filmed the journey through the window on timelapse nice piece of footage. Look forward to more videos Arigato. 🙏😀👍
Thanks Rion for another good video. Love to try this Sunrise train once, Will love to hear your views on Olympics as the media is reporting that a lot of Japanese is against it due to the pandemic and I am quite confused why the IOC insist to have it.
I really like how the train looks very comfy, the night travel is really good, I bet day time train travel would be very nice as well. But night travel is probably nicer for me, and the time lapse edit tho it's lit😊😊😊
1M views omedetooo~!! 😆🍻 This video especially made my day three years ago. ☺️🎂 Thank you for taking us along on your adventures & sharing the beauty of your country and your heart. 🌻 Let’s keep checking off bucket list items~!! 😎✨
Wow! Love that I have stumbled upon your channel today! I wish I have discovered your channel before I went to Japan in 2018. But still a good reference for future trips in Japan! I can’t wait for the pandemic to be over! I’ll start watching your previous videos from the very beginning! ❤️
Kenichi, my mother's family lives in Tokyo. I am in USA, I forgot and surprised to see sunrise before 6:00 a.m. How beautiful the land of the rising sun. Wish I was there again. Sayonara Ishida-san
your english is good. hehe I do watch lots of Japanese vloggers but they dont talk much. hehe I still enjoy their videos though. but I liked yours better! keep it up bro! subscribed!
You are giving me some ideas on what to do on my next trip to Japan - whenever that will be! Your channel is making me miss Japan very much. Hopefully will return soon
yes, the practicality of overnight train is literally non existed when you can pay a few thousand yens more for Shinkansen and a night @ APA hotel which is faster, roomier and a full bathroom
I really enjoyed this video Rion! Feels like an adventure, and it is like a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to more of these type of videos. Btw, lol at 11:00 when you were modeling your PJs 😄
Actually, I understand why the overnight would be more expensive than the faster route. Even taking Shinkansen, you still waste 3.5hrs traveling. With the overnight train you travel while you sleep and arrive ready to go so you actually save time. Very efficient. I will definitely consider this when staying in Tokyo but still wanting to visit USJ. =)
for traveler, its cheaper if we considering that we dont need to pay a hotel for staying one night. we can go to osaka (or tokyo) at night, and arrive at morning, which mean ... we can safe money and 4 hours time for exploring the city. Good video anyway, keep up the good work!
Thank you for another informative video. For travellers, this train would save one nite of hotel cost. But, more time on the train than being at the destination. 🤔 Looking forward to your Olympic livestreams and videos!👍🦁
Just found your channel & its very informative, tq Rion for making a wonderful video & I will try to experience travelling on the train on my next trip to Japan once the travel ban has been uplifted.. miss Tokyo so much ..arigato
I love sleeping car trains but it is difficult for me to climb stairs. Are there larger rooms or even handicapped rooms on this train? The snacks that are sold in Japanese train stations are always so interesting and look very tasty. I especially like all of the different bento meals that are available. Rion, have a pleasant time in Tokyo. Take care and enjoy your weekend. 🤗👍❤🚅🙏🌎
A lot would probably opt for the cheap and fast trains. But I will go for this one…yeah it might be a tedious due to the long time travel but the experience will make up for it! I would love to enjoy the scenery at night whilst lying down on a moving train 😍.
The price isn't bad if you consider that you won't need to pay for a hotel room. Maybe you can fly back on a discount airline. i would like to see a Japanese discount airline and what Itami airport looks like.
If you subtract the price for another night in a hotel from the ticket it's not too bad, plus you're saving daytime you can spend exploring. Not a bad deal.
I love everything about Japan. I have learned many Japanese cultures from mangas for 20 yrs. I’m in the US and I hope COVID-19 is being gone soon, so I would travel to Japannnnnn. Your vlog is very interesting and your English is easy to understand! Thank you again for your video!
@@elliep.5927 I'm actually visiting sapporo for some company related work.. but i have planned to complete the work before time, So i can visit some cool places 😂 Tbh I'm more excited because it's a free trip for me 😂😂
@@ashutosh4832 Cool! The weather in summer’s really nice in Supporo . So So jealous! I agree your trip will be good, fun and free.👍 Almost 100F now in the US😰
Great video Rion - brought back sweet memories of cold evenings on Okayama station platform watching the 2 halves of the Sunrise being joined together for the trip to Tokyo. Love your videos!
