You bet!! It's the only place I'll stay downtown if comped free nights are not involved. Always go for a South Tower room to avoid the Fremont St. noise.
I've stayed at Four Queens several times. If you stay in the South Tower, the noise from Fremont is hardly noticeable. You can stay there for under $50 on weekdays, provided there are no significant events going on. And, no resort fees! Great video!
There’s something special about these casinos that have been around for some time and have kept their name. I always think to myself I wish I could have seen the Sands or Stardust and regret not making it to the Riviera. Don’t get me wrong I love some of these newer casinos and their amenities but these gems are classic Vegas no new casino can do and are just as important to Vegas. I hope their owners see it that way too.
I stayed at the Riviera before it closed. It really was the last of a dying breed on the strip. Wish I could’ve experienced the Stardust but that was before my time
We’ve stayed there several times. Ask for a south tower room if you want to avoid the noise from Fremont street. We love Magnolias. It’s an “old Vegas” coffee shop that offers daily specials. Not too many of those around anymore…unfortunately. A centrally located hotel. Walk across the street next to Binions and catch the metro bus that services the strip and Fremont street. $8 a day last time we were there. Very convenient and inexpensive. Buses run every 15 minutes or so…
Using the bus system in vegas is one my biggest tips. You can even catch the bus to and from the airport. You just have to know where the bus stand is, it's out a side door.
I arrive in Vegas on April 10th. I'm staying at the Four Queens. Besides the prices (and lack of resort fees) you can't beat the location if you want to party downtown. Thank you for the room tour, Ruby. I'm feeling pretty good about staying there thanks to you.
Love staying at the Four Queens, location is great, no resort fees, and Magnolia's is a must go to at least once for Breakfast and Dinner. Still want to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms and will probably book that when we go back in October'ish
The cheapest rooms at the 4Q are the ones that are directly in front of the elevator on pretty much each floor. They are literally the size of a “closet” and they tell you this UP FRONT so you are NOT mislead. I stayed in one of those rooms once. It’s literally for one person and that’s it. Was 25 bucks a night. But like ALL other rooms in Vegas it’s just a crash pad when you’re not downstairs gambling. So I was cool with it.

Four Queens was the first hotel I stayed in Vegas. Binion's Horseshoe was on strike, Guiness World Record Museum was in the basement, and Fremont Street was an actual street.
Great review, the 4 Queens is what it is don't expect a 5 star resort. What do you use your room for in Vegas anyway besides a crash pad. The 4 Queens fits the bill perfectly.
I can't count how many times I have stayed here it's practically a second home from 1998 to 2008 then we started checking out other downtown hotels as they were renovated. We always gamble and eat at the 4Q everyone is always so nice. Great perks for Royal Club Members.
Just to be clear....the room in the video is NOT the cheapest room in 4Q. This is what 4Q calls a "premium room". Those were somewhat updated in the past few years and are basically the south-tower rooms. The cheapest rooms are actually the ones in the north tower (standard rooms), which have not been updated in what seems like 30 years! I think it's time for 4Q to get with the program and update ALL of its rooms. I love the location and service at 4Q, but I'd be willing to pay a bit more for a nicer room. 🙂
Well, I was there three weeks ago. Booked the cheapest room there ($43 a night w taxes & NO resort fee) Did the old Vegas $20 trick and got upgraded to a premium room on top floor corner. Right on top of Freemont St, but 19 floors up it's not so loud. Besides, who comes to Vegas to sleep before 3am? Loved it.

Fold up a $20, stick it between the two & hand it to the clerk while asking "Do you have any complimentary upgrades available? When I did this at 4Q on 3/1, first, from the time I handed her my 'bundle' to the time she moved her hands 2 ft to her L on the computer, that $20 had disappeared (& I never took my eyes off it, or so I thought) and I found myself occupying the corner room on the top floor with an incredible Vegas & mountains view & only one other couple on the floor a few doors down. I glimpsed them once in two days. Now granted, this was a Mon and Tue night, so enough people around that was a bonus though
I always stay at Four Queens. True, not the greatest place to stay, but for the price it's superb. Very clean (initially) and all employees are extremely friendly.
They’ve really made over the rooms since I stayed there quite a few years back when it was dirt cheap and pretty run down but comfortable enough. Some of their elevators were broken and some, like in the parking garage which we ended up having to use a lot, didn’t have air conditioners and we were dying in the 110 degree heat but other than that it’s a prime downtown spot to enjoy Fremont and it looks much nicer since the update.
The "run of house" just means they will put you in whatever room they want. Means you might get any tier, but they get to pick at check-in. It's a great way to get a potentially-free upgrade if you're also totally happy staying in the least-nice ones. It IS usually the cheapest option. I think some of us are confusing "cheapest" with least-fancy.
OMG! I have "ants in the pants", so excited to fly to Vegas again after watching your video. The Four Queens is a great value, with good food and personable staff. And of course the beds might remind you of grandma's house or a hunting lodge...but that's ok because you're just crashing there.
Rates on the strip are jacked up on weekends, so when I fly in on Saturday I frequently stay at Four Queens. It's okay. It's older, but I put it on a par w a Holiday Inn. It's main advantage is being right in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience! One other rare advantage- NO Resort Fees!
Gosh, LV has changed so much. First time out was in 1982, stayed at the Desert Inn. Have probably been 40 or more times, no kidding, with the last trip out 2 years ago where we began staying at the Cosmopolitan the last 4-5 times out. LV was soooooo much cheaper in the 80's and 90's. They could not feed you drinks fast enough if you were gambling. Food and drinks were comped regularly, anything to keep you in the casino. It's anything but that now, generally speaking.
We are going to Vegas in July. Haven't been in 10years so really appreciated you review of 4 Queens. I think we will stay there. I miss those old school slots and the people watching at the bar looks like so much fun.

Great video guys. I hope that you and mr ruby have a dinner at Hugos Cellar. I took the wife for our 20 year anniversary dinner 🍽. It has a romantic feel the moment you arrive and the food is fabulous. Can’t say enough good things about Hugo’s Cellar.

I was "surprised" by the size of the room and view and not much ( noise ) from the Fremont Experience crowds at night... The old Las Vegas feel on the casino floor... made me think about the old days in Vegas, including the mob. Really like staying here compared to others my age. Mike the bartender always takes good care of us. Really, really recommend him. He is at the bar close to the restrooms and players card registration desk.
Just booked a standard king room with a hotel voucher I got from a side gig I do for next Thursday night. Always find myself in the position where I want to have at least an over night stay down there cause I’m never in a hurry to leave Fremont with a treck all the way back to my hotel way at the other end of town. 75 buck voucher 68 bucks for the room, all together out the door nadda. Will do an update of my stay for sure.
I have stayed at the 4 Queens when go to Las Vegas for a cribbage tourney in Oct. The rooms aren't bad. The first year I had earplugs in and the noise from the Fremont Street Experience was still pretty loud. My friends and I eat at Magnolia for breakfast when we are there. The food is good and the portions are HUGE. Thanks for the video. I am new to your channel and will watch some of the other videos :)
Oh my God the Four Queens! I grew up with a Group of Family Friends in the 70's! and their parents LOVED the Four Queens! They had ash trays from there!
This is where I stayed on my 1st trip to Vegas in May 1994. There was no overhang. 3 out of my 1st 4 trips to Vegas we stayed at 4 Queens. I need to try it again. The no resort fees is worth it
I stayed here a few years back and had a great time. Also one a straight flush in the casino. First time winning that kind of money. Only down fall is no pool but i knew that ahead of time. I'm glad they still haven't gone with resort fees. I would stay there again as i live the downtown and the lights. Just like old times
4queens is an old school gem. Looks like the rooms are nicely renovated since I used to stay there. Always get the gumbo at Magnolias. But all three of their restaurants are excellent. And their games and slot club is superior to most of Vegas
Had to have been an event weekend! Normal rate is about 50 to 70 and tops out a little over a hundred on a non event weekend. I wish she had given us some comp rates with other hotels that same night.
You missed the best restaurant in Las Vegas. I never miss a chance to eat at Hugo's Cellar . Been going there since it opened Best veal dishes in Las Vegas, and the 4 Queens is definitely old school Las Vegas love staying there
Last Summer I stayed at El Cortez. I walked over to the Four Queens and got an awesome steak dinner. Next time I´m going to stay at Four Queens. I got one of those slushy drinks on Fremont.
I love 4 Queens for all the reasons given: location, easy walking to dozens of restaurants, no resort fees, usually no wait to check in, friendly staff, etc. The only negative is their Elvis show. Save your money and skip that one. The Lanai snack bar across the street at Binions has the worlds best chili dog BTW.
I stayed at the Four Queens about 6 years ago and unfortunately for me my room faced Fremont Street. I could hear all the noise from Fremont Street even at 3AM. Of course since I was staying there over the weekend the noise never really let up. They were full so there was no chance of being moved to a quieter part of the hotel. The only way I survived was by buying a pair of ear plugs the next day. The ear plugs cut the noise and allowed me to get enough sleep to survive my stay.

Always like 4 Queens. I remember staying there back in the early 90's when the D was Fitzgeralds and the Girls of Glitter Gulch was across the street. Had a blast playing there with almost no bankroll. There was always a $3-$5 craps table around during the week. Hugo's Cellar is the best at 2am --getting ribeyes and Bud Lights after a long night. LOVE FREMONT ST!!!
Rudy I never thought about renting a room in old Los Vegas but now I would consider staying at Bunions, Four Queens or one of the other old establishments. Seems I always end up in that area anyway because it's lively, fun, and the I enjoy people watching as well.
I've stayed at the 4Q. Had nothing but positive things to say about it. Really looking forward to going back. And the location is Awsome! Highly recommend 👌
I haven't stayed here in years. not since 2001 and trip with my fiancée (now ex wife). the room was half this size and you couldn't walk around the bed as there was no room. It was cheap but I'm glad to see they remodeled since my visit.
Can't spell it but do love the Heif Beer. If you ever go to Haf Brau House (again, I can't spell), theirs is to die for. Supposedly, there are two in the US...Covington, KY and Vegas. So, there's your challenge...find the one in Vegas and report on their Heif.
My wife is a bit of a princess; we have been to Vegas a couple of dozen times and always stay at Encore, Venetian or (more recently) NoMad. Anyway, back in 2010 I was tasked with booking the hotel for our honeymoon and… yeah. Fell victim to the overly flattering room photos and low, low prices on 4 Queen’s website. We checked in and got to our room; tears were shed, rooms were upgraded, and (amazingly) we are still going strong 12 years later. Love downtown, but won’t stay there anymore unless Circa gives us a promo rate that changes my mind.
I live in Las Vegas and I occasionally stay at the Four Queen’s if hanging out on Fremont St. NO RESORT FEE. It’s not the Wynn, but neither is the price.
Last time I was in Vegas we stayed downtown and had a great time. Did you see the show at the 4 Queens, Mike Hammer. We got discount coupons and it was one of the funniest entertaining shows downtown. We also ate at Magnolia for dinner, great food. Have you ever stayed at the Plaza and done a video there.
Never tried that beer, but it sure looked good. 4 Queens seemingly won’t die. Stayed there the first year of the Fremont Street experience. Room was dirty, no sleep due to Fremont st, no place to eat except maybe for Subway. Casino was good. It’s Circa for me next time, but 4 Queens is okay in my book. Always needs to be a 4 Queens in Vegas.

Love your videos! I just spent some time in Four Queens Casino March 2022. I wish I knew that microbrew restaurant was there. I just need to watch more of your videos. I stayed next door at THE D and yes the concert stage is Extremely Loud. Three nights at THE D was $333 includes passes to the Circa pool.
