What you do to avoid 'blonde' pizza crust: Preheat the pan along with your oven and only remove it to insert the dough and filling. With something like this dish, use a second pan to build the pizza in and transfer it to the pre-heated one once it's built.

As someone who has worked at Starbucks, a lot of his methods actually seemed to make the drinks worse. I don't understand why cooking channels always feel the need to make coffee videos, they are two different crafts. Like a DJ trying to play the guitar, there is some crossover but they are distinctly different. Josh is an awesome chef but that video was not the one imo

For the crust , it might be the temperature and cooking time, I work at a pizza place and everything gets cooked at 230 deg. C for 4.30 minutes, thats 446 deg. F I think Ofc that might be difficult to replicate- but the temperature means the tray underneath is hot enough to cook the bottom of the dough

I love Twisted's more... out there recipes. The pizzadilla looked so absurd, yet so delicious, and I didn't doubt it for a second. The Big Mac welington is in the same boat, it's so extreme, but it looks like it just... oozes flavor. I've been watching them for a while, around the time I found Tasty, and I have to give props to them for being so extreme sometimes

I also got into making my own pizzas and became obsessed with the golden bottoms and crunch. Basically gained 10lbs but learned how to make a good homemade pizza lol 😆 I would cook it on a pan until I could safely unload it onto the cooking rack to get it to chrisp up nice and good

For a diy pizza stone or to make your crust crispy. I let my oven preheated to 475 but keep the baking tray in the over to let it warm up and get as hot as the oven. 10/10 this helps with the crust!

Pizza Hut did some kind of garlic knot pizza thing and I thought it was going to be good. I was wrong. That looked much better. I agree that if you used a stone it probably would have browned better on the bottom. You should try it and let us know if that was better :)

Here’s a tip for you that I learned from a cooking show: rolling your dough out with a rolling pin is not a good idea because it pushes out all the gas and makes the crust thick and tough.

After you bake it off, turn the oven all the way up and put the tray on the floor of the oven for a few minutes. That should give you some really good intense direct heat which should crisp up the crust

This is actually like the perfect family meal. If you bought a good pep pizza, a good chicken bacon Alfredo calzone & a side of garlic knots that would be like $60 plus tip. I’m the mom of teens & let me tell you, I’d pre-make & par bake like 5 of these things a month, stick them In the freezer & my kids + friends would love it.
