On tomatoes,. I've boiled my tomatoes for a minute or two, so I know you can peel them for canning jars. Peeled tomatoes are great in spaghetti sauce, stews, and soups.

We do the tomato peeling thing in college but we put the tomato in boiling water on the stove for about two minutes and it will peel really easily.

The crab one does work, but not all the time. It took me a while to get the technique down, and it got easier over time. I have never used scissors though, I will have to try that next time.

Here is a useful, tried and true hack, once you finish cutting onions/garlic/smelly foods. When you are done and don’t want your hands to smell funny for days, wet your hands and rub them on metal (like your kitchen tap) all over where you touched the stuff you cut. Then you can rinse your hands again and they shouldn’t hold onto the smell as much or even it is gone. :)

Hiya dear Raphaël! For the tomatoes, I do 30 secs in the MW (more like 45 if the tomatoes are not organic). Then, gently drop them a minute in very cold water for a minute. They peel super easy but use a paring knife, with your thumb, it goes awesome. Keep the vids coming, you’re awesome!

They probably boiled the tomato. My mom does this when she makes butter chicken/butter paneer. The tomato puree is very smooth of you for this. About the breaking crab legs for perfect meat hack, you have to run your knife on the spot you want to break it at at every section of the crab. DO NOT cut all the way. Just make indents. The breaks and cooking is so much easier after that.

I put corn in the microwave without cutting the end, just taking off some silk. I do one minute for each ear plus one extra minute and the corn is fully cooked.

instead of putting tomatoes in the microwave you can make a crosscut and boil them their skin will come off really easy

The tomato one is easily faked. You can just boil up some water, put the tomato in for like 30 seconds? (flipping halfway through) and then you put it into a bowl of cold ice water. This is called "shocking" the tomato which basically causes the tomato's skin to contract and split while cooking, and when you plunge it into the ice water, that halts the cooking process and brings it back to room temp, for easy peeling. They just cut the video and shocked the tomato, then put it in the microwave so it looks like the hack works. The lengths that some of these companies go to just to trick you is astounding.

If you score the tomato the same way you did and then put them in boiling water for about a minute and then immediately put them in an ice bath peeling the skin off makes it way easier. The skin should also start to crack while it’s boiling. Also, as someone who lives in Pennsylvania and Maryland many of these hacks were painful to watch XwX. Especially the crab one...
