I have 03 Nissan frontier, no turbo not diesel. (USA) same issue. I spent 2k USD fixing head gaskets, resurfacing heads, water pump, timing belt. I payed a local shop to do the work as this was not something I felt comfortable doing. This was my first truck so it had substantial sentimental value to me. I think you've answered your own question, this truck isn't special. Why throw money at it. Part out the truck and cut your loses. It is very unfortunate, The nav is why I subbed to your channel. 🥺
Fark, that sucks. Making me paranoid about my '05 Nav. So far it just keeps going, and going, and going (touch wood!) 314000km on the clock. It's a great question though, when do you decide to pack a vehicle in vs keep pouring money into it to keep it alive?
Must be the year for it lol. My zd30 either done a piston or a ring on the highway couple hours into the new year, only just got it going again! Bought a second hand 06 motor with 145,000kms on it, bought a billet hi flowed turbo and intercooler as well while I thought may aswell splurge some money into it haha money pit
Similar issues here got 3qtr hot going to work. Spent near 4g New head rad ect. Is back at mechanics for 3rd time this month. Did not have the time to do my self wishing I did do it my self now atleast it would of been done right.
