I (26F) thought my husband (27M) was cheating. I followed him on his work trip and he was not. Now what?

OP: I trust my husband completely Also OP: I stalked my husband for 3 days trying to catch him cheating on me despite the fact that I had no evidence, except for a harpy with no relationship and a clear hatred for men who wanted me to be as single as she is

There's a difference between worrying about a friend and trying to sabotage your friend's marriage. Sure, OP's friend might've acted like a worried friend at first, trying to warn her about this, but her pushing the subject over and over made her seem unhinged and like she was trying to ruin OP's marriage. This is all on OP. It's Therapy Time!!! Therapy-Saurus!!!

Tell the husband everything. Cut out the "friend" who planted the seeds of doubt. Actively work toward rebuilding the damage done to the marriage.

Should I say that it’s a typical behavior for some women? OP has the perfect mariage but choose to let a random friend of her poison her mind about her loving husband. How can you choose to believe someone else without evidence Even though you have access to all of your husband devices? I really Hope OP’s best friend will tell the husband about all of this shitstorm.

I agree, except for the part about the friend telling him. Why? What good can come of it? So she got jealous and suspicious? So what? No real harm was done, and jealousy isn't actually a bad thing. It means you care. What she should really do is tell the other friend, the one who worked her up into a state of jealousy, to mind her own business from now.

Some (many) women are seemingly incredibly susceptible to input from female friends. If one or more of their friends plant a seed in their head and then keep prodding and prodding eventually they will start to believe it, and act on it. This is why so many cheating stories begin with a seemingly good and loyal woman without a history of adultery being talked into cheating by female work friends or female personal friends.

With friends like that, who needs enemies? My guess is that the friend was jealous she couldn't have a bit of your husband for herself.

If you can't see anything wrong with your relationship, then why allow another person to sow seeds in your relationship? The friend is probably a bitter single woman who wants to bring down the op and she's dumb enough to let it happen.
@onewingedmoogle

First thing OP needs to do is cut all contact with her "friend". She's a snake and is just trying to make OP miserable. Regardless of if the marriage survives, she'll be happier without the "friend" in her life.

It’s always the single “friend” who puts toxic ideas into people’s minds. They are always jealous and want others to be as miserable as themselves. If I’d have a dime for every time it’s the same thing.

Never, never let another person in your marriage. Now she is blackmailing OP. If you have a good marriage, don't doubt, talk, communicate. She should have talked to her husband

Girl, drop the "friends" from your life. With such friends, you need no enemy. I bet they are jealous. Or you're crazy. Or a bit of both.

Why is the friend threatening to tell him? What good can come of that? So you got jealous and you checked in on your husband? So what? No harm, no foul. You should stop listening to the other friend, the one who provoked you into jealousy in the first place--nobody needs that kind of Iago in their lives--but otherwise, what's the big deal? Jealousy isn't a bad thing, per se. It means you care. Remember, "there is no great love without great jealousy!" So you don't have to feel that guilty. You didn't really do anything wrong. But if your "friend" insists on telling him, you should tell him first, to get ahead of things, and just play up how bad you feel, turn on the waterworks, cry about how sorry you are and what a fool you've been, and how lucky you are to have him. He'll be upset at first, but once you really get the waterworks going, he'll want to comfort you, and you'll let him, and by the time you are done "being intimate," all will be forgiven.

@@redrackham6812 Tell me you are a woman without telling me you are a woman. If the situation was reversed and it was the husband suspecting his wife of cheating, she would have told everyone how awful he is for not believing her and for being controlling for checking her devices. But now that the woman is the one screwing up you think that she should manipulate her husband by crying so that he should forgive her without her taking accountability. And you are wondering why OP’s best friend is adamant to told the story to the husband. Maybe because she is a good person et she don’t want to see an honest man being manipulated like a fool when he has always done everything by the book.
@redrackham6812

@@chrystylord2324 Actually, I'm a man. And if the sexes were reversed here, I'd be saying the same thing (minus the part about turning the waterworks on and so forth--the manipulation would have to be different). But I noticed you have not answered my question: what good is going to come from telling him? She got jealous; so what? Accountability for what? For caring enough about her husband to not want to lose him? Again, "there is no great love without great jealousy."

@chrystylord2324 same if i was married to her, I would be glad that my wife didn't let it fester into our personal connection, but it is important to let it out now before it becomes a factor in their intimate life. It will be great if it improves their bedroom life but if she is stricken with guilt to the point where being with her husband makes her uncomfortable then it needs to be aired since that is relationship ending. I'm just viewing this as if this was stated 4 years later in a drunken spew. Remember that time you got so paranoid that you stalked your husband for 3 days. I would be suprised but for some it can be seen as dam she that crazy for me. Now when I can't FaceTime her it's because she stalking me all those times before not because she is cheating. Weird but I can handle
