I took an MT10SP out for the day - Is it worth it? 

The MT/FZ-10 is probably the next bike I will own...can't go wrong with stepping up from the 07 to the 10! Great vlog!

Nice vid, enjoyed the banter, and seeing some familiar roads! I bought my current bike (2017 SV650) from Wigan motorcycles (same outfit), and I’m wanting to upgrade to 1000cc, the MT10 is one on the wish list, but also considering the GSX FT, the touring version, a little more comfortable for someone of ahem, advancing years! What were the mirrors like? Can you see past your elbows? I have an xsr900 but I can't see anything behind me, I just wondered what are yamaha doing?

Thanks for the vids...I have a 2018 MT 07 and took a MT 10 for a ride last Saturday--the thing was too much bike for me! I think the 07 is perfect for my needs. I've been riding for years, from Yamaha 650 to the Virago 750 to the XS 1100, and my last street bike was a VStar 1100, but the 689cc rocks! Thanks again for the videos. I subbed!

Great review. I’ve never ridden a naked bike before but I think I’ll go and try 1 out lots of people say there god fun. I bet the people in that little village love the bikes coming through 👍

Great video! I agree the seating position, power and noise (with Akra) are brilliant. I like the robotic looks - makes it different. I Rode the MT-09SP and although I liked it, I wouldn't buy it over the MT-10. The main problem for me was the hideous wining noise it made in top. I enjoyed the Kawasaki z900 more to be honest.

I've been looking at MT-10SP and been watching a few RU-vid video reviews. I'm not sold on the bike my self but this review was great.

I bought my 2018 MT-10 in March and I love it! Scorpion RP1-GP & De-cat fitted straight away, sounds like an absolute monster. Best bike I have ever owned after riding every other "hyper-naked" I would advise anyone to buy an MT-10 (but you need to like wheelies;-))

Awesome bikes, I love the Transformer look but I was a kid when the Transformers cartoon and toys were first around, I was a big fan of them then :) You need some fur over the mic to stop the wind noise, also it's worth recording your audio separate so you have more control of the levels and audio type. I use my phone with an adaptor (TRRS Adaptor) and a cheap app with gain control. I have an old video showing how I set it up although the gain control might need setting different depending on the mic and even the phone you use.

LOVE my MT10 but hate that they don't sel the SP in the US! So stupid!! I'd buy one in a heart beat! How much more is the sp over the base MT10? Really curious! Hopefully Yamaha brings the sp here.

You should definitely upgrade to an MT10 given the chance! ;) Love mine. Needs a tune desperately after swapping out the whole exhaust system though. In regards to the stand, i kick it out with my heel. Took a while getting used to and not accidentally kicking the bike into gear haha

I had a go of the 09sp and the standard 10 at Wigan's MT demo weekend too. First ride out was the 10, in standard mode. Loved it, but didn't know half the route we took. Then went out on the 09sp, in the sportiest mode, knew the route better so could ride it better. Revvier and quite involving, but I do love the sound of the 10. Would love to take the 10 out again, maybe the sp though, I've been spoiled by my electronic suspension now :-)

As nakeds go I think the styling is good but its not my favourite looking bike "some might think I'm mad saying that" i much prefer the styling of the TST RS personally!! But as far as the sound I love the sound of the RS but this MT-10 is definitely on of my favourite sounding bikes atm especially with a nice Akrapovic bolted to it 🔥... where abouts are you from? See I'm on the fence love my R1, never been a fan of naked bikes but there is just something about the MT, testing an 09 in a week (weather permitting) ... Will never get rid of the R1 though having that power whenever you want it tingles me inside haha (totally agree on the looks with the 10 and 09 & good work on the vid!)

One thing. When you start the bike don't apply throttle, they start much better if you just push the button. This was(and is) necessary on many carburator bikes but on fuel injection ones you're ruining the start mode of the injection

Completely agree with your thoughts on naked bikes just feeling right. Had a sports bike, a few naked bikes and a sports tourer. Just gone back to a Street Triple RS because naked bikes are just so incredible for the road. Thought about the MT-10, SuperDuke R and Speed Triple RS, but decided that for the road more fun low down was a winner. Keep up the vlogging - and check out the Triumphs before you decide on your next bike! (p.s. I am a bit of a Triumph fanboi, but being passionate about something is good, right? :))

Hello from utah US. I agree 100% I've had 11 sport bikes and tried a Supernaked (FZ10/MT10) and fell in love! The MT10 is epic! Sure the 09 name 07 too,..and then the SP????? Amazing!!! We don't get the SP's in the US for some reason!??? I'd swap to the MT10 sp from stamdard MT10 if they did. They have the R1m son of sure why we don't get the sp? Hopefully someday! LOVE my MT10 and love your mt07 sp!

Good video anyways. You can try out a chinmounted camera for better angle. I just don't know if it will cause some scratches on your awesome lids or not. Goodluck

I've just part-exchanged my XSR900 for an MT-10. I love the new 2019 Ice Fluo (light grey and orange) colour scheme. I wouldn't buy the SP version, I really don't like the inky dark blue Yamaha slap on everything. Nice video. What did you think of the throttle response at low speeds?

Lol "Neutral". We do chaz, we do all do it. Feel the same about nakeds for the streets. The ole back wouldn't thank me after a few hours on a supersport. Much prefer my FZ1N. Nice gloves btw.

The gas-guzzling MT-10. Not sure how Yamaha succeeded in making such a thirsty 999cc.

I have a 2018 MT 09 and a 2018 MT 10, both are great bikes but the MT 10 has more power and more torque and sounds better also. I also have 2018 Suzuki GSXR1000R. For the street, I would say the MT09 and for freeways the MT 10. Anything with long straight aways and mountain like turns then the GSXR1000R for sure.

I’ve had my Mt10 for 2 years and I love I was one of the first people to get one in the states and I haven’t had any problems with this beautiful machine. Thanks for sharing.

Nice, I like your video. I’d say the standard MT-10 is worth it (I am biased tho) as... I love my MT-10: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-asU74eTQ-WM.html ... Good test spin. Yeah, my daily ride is an old Aprilia Pegaso 650, so know what going back is like and getting back on older smaller bike is not all bad. Bet MT-07 did feel odd for the 1st few miles back on. The little screen wind deflector on the 10 works well (at legal speeds) 😊. The MT10 has real good long legs; I toured on mine. Deceiving quick bike tho. And at over 8000rpm super amazing sharp throttle response. Agree on the awkward side stand placement, that and it’s love of fuel are the only negatives tho. The rest is sublime excellence. Was thru Peak District on mine on way to Germany 2016. I Had a MT-09. Your call but I’d say if you jump to an MT-10 too soon there is no where more to progress to after it tho... An MT-09 is a sharp terrier. MT-10 is 30% dearer but more than 30% more bike. As said your call. Keep Vlogging. Best wishes.
