Brilliant racing today Patrick, big 👏 Gave you a few cheers along the course so hopefully helped you along. Great video here. Hope you were happy. Very tough day out there and you did great, more than justified your place there today🎉
Thank you robin! Man it was BRUTAL! I came down for a supposed sunshine filled weekend in the riviera, and was served a non wetsuit swim, brutal bike, and the hottest and hardest marathon ever 🤣 Thanks for the support!
The garmin race predictor actually works even though you are running after a 180km bike? I always figured it would be way off since my legs would be tired from the bike , maybe closer to 15-30 mins slower Good luck!
Hi! It depends at what pace you train at, I always train at my target ironman marathon pace for the long sessions, which (per training plan) factors in the fact that you will be running on tired legs; so the calculations are based off that in my case. I don’t know what my standalone marathon pace would be, all I know is that it would be faster and at a higher heart rate, around 163+, which would be impossible after a hard bike!
@@PatrickDelorenzi makes sense! I never considered the fact that our legs are already tired from training all the time! My watch is telling me my predicted marathon time is 2:42 but I highly doubt I will get that in my Ironman 😂 if I did I’d be with the pros at worlds
Wow, you sure have come a long way, put in a lots of work, training , races & time. Incredible, good luck & no matter the outcome your a winner 🏆 in my books 🇹🇼
