I’m a similar level of fairness as you are and my absolute favorite green color corrector is the LA Girl corrector in Mint! I almost bought the green one, but their website specified that the green is for medium/dark skin tones, while the mint is for fair skin!! Maybe give the mint a try and see if you like it 😁

Yes, I find the green a bit intense straight-up on my skin but it's great for adjusting the undertone of foundations. I will say though, the LA girl green corrector mixes BEAUTIFULLY with the ELF Poreless Putty Primer and that makes it a lot more wearable on its own!

I am also a very fair-skinned, red-flushed person. However, what really helped me was that I realized that my face isn’t a different color. My skin is just really translucent, and it looks much darker and pink-toned than it really is. I switched from foundations that had a red base with white pigments in it, to a foundation with a white base and a bit of a neutral color to it. An absolute game changer! My face *finally* matches my neck! 😊

I'm interested in the foundations that worked for you. I have a cool undertone, very white neck, but more red/discoloration on my face. When I find a foundation that seems to match my face, my neck always looks shades lighter.

I battle with this too. I really try to avoid full coverage bases, but sheer formulas do little to conceal everything you see through my skin. I can embrace a makeup free day ❤️ I think I get more frustrated when I apply makeup and the end result looks muddied all over my face because I haven't tamped down all the natural colors in my face that the makeup is competing with 🤷‍♀️

@@thepod25 hello there! I’m sorry for my late reply. I really like Lancômes Teint Idole Ultra Wear in the shade 008. It is one of the best shade matches I’ve ever found. I have very dry skin, and need thick, emmolient face creams and sunscreens, and this foundation works well on a slippery base. I sheer it out to a light, translucent coverage. :) Just remember to set it with a good translucent face powder, if you have dry skin like me. ❤️ Hope this helps!

Just want to throw another recommendation out there! NYX also makes a cream color corrector palette that has six different shades, including green. I have pan in all of the colors: the green is great for combatting redness, the purple is really nice when my skin looks really dull or sallow (happens when I don't sleep well), and the peach and pink are great for undereyes. I also recently figured out how to use the warm brown in the bottom right; it's a great pigment to use to color-correct my mineral sunscreen to help tone down the white cast. It's an incredibly useful makeup product and I love it to bits, I figured I'd let folks know about it!
@laine.b

I have only had this palette for a few days so am still figuring it out, but I have used the warm brown as a cream bronzer and it worked really nicely 😊

That lavender is PERFECT for toning down the warmness of just about any too-dark-too yellow SPF tint that's on the market. Luvvvvvvv it. I no longer worry about wasting money on the wrong colors because I can correct it myself now :) Anything versatile is great for the pocketbook! Sometimes I use straight up blue (light or dark blue) even though I'm warm toned. I'm still sorta pale and most products are too yellow.

I don't know if it's the lighting or the slight difference, but I actually love the NYX one on you the best! I mean, it's so hard to tell the Chanel side from the nyx, but I think your skin looked slightly more radiant and just the smallest of shade touches more natural (I wouldn't have been able to tell without the side by side). I was waiting for this video like a weirdo and I'm so glad to have all the "tea" now 😂

I haven’t even gotten to the color correctors yet and you’ve blown my mind. I’ve never heard my skin type described so accurately before (by myself included) except that, as I’m Mediterranean, I’m a few shades darker. But I will, especially now, be following your skin’s journey with GREAT interest.

This warm fair olive skinned person with rosacea has been waiting for this!! I’ve been using the Urban Decay green color corrector that’s discontinued hoping you’d publish this video before I ran out and needed a new one! Whoo Hoo!! Thank you, Hannah!! I’m going to try the NYX and if that doesn’t work for me, the LA Girl next.

Hi please help this also warm fair olive person find a foundation that matches. Do you have a holly grail foundation that you dobt have to mix with green primers? Heeeelp
@LisaF_
@LisaF_ 9 месяцев назад
@@atlantis315 I have found my Holy Grail color correctors! I use the Exa Green Color Corrector to cover my rosacea. I put it directly on my cheeks after sunscreen and blend it in. I haven’t found any foundation that matches without color corrector. But what I do for that is different. I add a drop of Temptu S/B Green Shade Adjuster (it has a clear cap) to a pump or two of my foundation on the back of my hand so it matches my olive undertone better. I like this green color adjuster because it’s not expensive, it lasts forever and because I literally use one drop, it doesn’t change the formula of any of my foundations. It’s so easy to use and works so well I don’t even care that I can’t find a perfect match foundation right out of the bottle. The shade adjuster is a tiny plastic bottle so it’s even easy to take traveling. I hope this helps!

I have always struggled with the NYX being really thick and dry and difficult to blend out; watching your footage makes me think that maybe mine is a dud. However, I have had great success with the L.A. Color mixing pigment in blue. As a fellow olive, I spent ages 15-35 wondering why every. single. foundation. was either too pink, too yellow, or too orange on me; turns out, I am a blue alien just under the surface of my tan-ish overtones. So purchasing pretty neutral face tints and introducing a good dollop of blue into them has served me really well. I remember the first time I used my blue pigment, and I looked in the mirror and exclaimed, "So THIS is what I look like?!" I'd never seen my made-up face be the right color before. For all the olives out there--I feel you; keep looking for your game-changing product, because when you find it, life feels so much better!

Yes girl yes! Been trying green color correcters for redness, and a million base products for forever with little success. After your olive undertone realization, I had one of my own! I got that exact NYX product, and mixed it with my MUFE concealer and what a great success! Also, NYX makes a palette of cream correctors, and I actually mixed the green into my sneaky balm, melted them together, poured back into the pan and let it set. Yet again great success! On my next pan of sneaky balm I plan to mix my own green from her blue/yellow/white adjusters and add that to sneaky balm!

i'm also a very fair olive (neutral leaning warm), but because i have significantly more redness from rosacea the LA girl concealer in green is my #1. i think they specify that the mint shade is for fair/light skintones and the green is for medium/deep skintones, but the mint would absolutely lean way too cool on me while the green basically disappears once i blend it in. i would say for anyone more warm/yellow with lots of redness the LA girl in green is your best bet.

Hannah, I was at Target and saw the NYX cc and decided to try it. In the past year I developed very stubborn redness on my cheeks that I’ve been using higher coverage foundation and concealer to tone it down. But I hate how that breaks up over my spf and the overall made-up look. This color corrector is an immediate game changer! It evened out my redness and I feel good wearing nothing else. And it’s only $7. Thank you for such a thorough review as always. 🙏

Yay, the green color corrector video is here! I've used an LA Girl green color corrector for years, but in the shade Mint which is much whiter and does pull much cooler as a result. Compared to the options in this video, it seems the most like the Kiko Milano option, but after watching, I'm definitely going to look for the NYX option when I run out!

Thank you for the video ❤️ btw, maybe you will like nyx green finishing press powder. I use it on my neutral skin undertone and it makes me brighter and paler somehow))

So happy to see this. I have light slightly yellow but mostly neutral undertones. I get red just touching my face. A blemish is death! And, God forbid I get a cold. A little green to calm the red may be just what I need.☺️

A highly anticipated video for me. So excited to delve in! I expect to be purchasing a green colour corrector to finally make my completion products match my skin. (Can’t wait to serve some Shrek realness)

The part when you mentioned the fact that we would only want to correct the redness really did help! I wished you would just have done one on green corrector- would have been curious to hear where the Sephora collection and the Lancôme ones stand. It IS a thorough review- thank you! 😍

Have you tried the LA girl mint corrector? It’s paler than the green. A bit too white for me but very useful

Loved this video! Thank you so much for doing the work and giving us a thorough review. I saw Face Atelier just announced their Olive foundation adjuster. Do you have plans to test/review it?

Very helpful video! I have rosacea and have always struggled with color correction. When you talked about going from looking red to looking pink, I 100% understood what you were talking about, but didn’t know how to put it into words before. I’ll check out the NYX one, although I’m a little concerned because I’m a little warmer than you are. Let’s see how it goes!

I’m currently using the Nyx one in a similar fashion to you. My face is also darker and more rosy compared to my neck. I either apply it straight on my bare face or mix it with a foundation to achieve a good match for my skin tone (fair neutral with a slightly green tinge). I have combination skin on the more mature side (I’m 40) and the product sits well on my skin and I find it very easy to blend out. I’m on my second tube and I suspect I will buy it again and again. It was lovely to hear that it has your seal of approval as well!

Woohoo! Totally enjoyed it. I have the NYX, had it for a wwhhiiile and I'm glad to know it is the best for me compared to the other three. When I need to, I will be repurchasing it happily, not being tempted by the others.

From the swatches, I'm most drawn to the Nyx for my redness. It's a good shade of green and seems to have enough brightening to help mask any dark spots. For some reason I've expected it to cling to dry patches due to rosacea.
@MS-yg6gh
@MS-yg6gh 2 года назад
In my experience, as someone who uses it and also has those rosacea dry patches, it does cling a bit since it's pretty matte. But it's not bad, unless I have a really crusted-over blemish, and I also use a base product over it. A little goes a long way, though, and it mixes well. I've been meaning to mix it with a primer sometime.

this is super great - def gonna look into this NYX one. I have tried color-correct bb creams, those that are green in the pot/tube, then turn "skin toned" but for me (light olive) these are turning straight up pink on my skin. Just wanted to add that to the tips to watch out for those that change color once applied, in case you have not a pink undertone.

Wooo hoo! It's been a long wait! I only own the nyx colour corrector and it works great as a mix in for me.. I don't have any redness but I'm so olive that even olive undertone foundations are orange on me 😂

I’m a little bit darker than you, but I’m a light neutral olive leaning warm. I also have a lot of red to conceal. After watching your olive undertone episode, I started using LA Colors Conceal Correct and it was like magic. It’s quite green, but it blends into my skin so perfectly, I can go without base. It also makes my hazel eyes pop. I dot it all over my face then use a big soft brush to blend it in. And if I remember correctly, it was under $5.00.
